Ok - so I wanted to like this service, I really really did, but they didn't deliver.
The owner or manager (not sure) Robert, is really nice and helpful. They fit me in last minute for a cleaning, very reasonable price. The maid was over a half hour late, making me late to work (I was very specific about time). I let this go since they were kind enough to fit me in last minute. It was post-Christmas and I specifically said I needed the floors concentrated on (pine needles everywhere!). I left to go to work, came home.. pine needles everywhere! Needless to say I was upset, so I spent all night cleaning but decided not to call and complain.
Robert was nice enough to follow up with me on my experience, so I told him the truth. He explained that my vacuum and the maids vacuum didn't work (mine was just clogged with pine needles, showing that she did try, fair enough). He offered to send someone else over at a later date free of charge; super classy gesture. I was excited to give them another chance.
So the day comes for the second chance. They sent the same maid, who asked me flat out what was wrong the last time. I told her, she said the story about the two vacuums. Ok. I left to go to work, came back and the place looked clean-ish, but definitely not like it did with some of the maid services I used in New York. She didn't clean under anything (I don't expect her to move under furniture, I just want her to swiffer underneath bookcases, etc.), the outside of the appliances weren't cleaned and the floors didn't look great either.
If someone has any recommendation for a great cleaning service, please let me know! All star has great customer service, but when it comes to paying someone to clean my house, it better look nicer than when I do it. read more
