Gayle and I stopped here for gas on our recent way out of town (and via a Honey Baked Ham pickup). This gas station right at the 242 exit and kind of sandwiched between that and various busy Concord roads. So both the In and the Out can be a little tricky. When we were there, the pumps were mostly full and largely contractor trucks starting their day. It also looked like there was also some day laborer activity. The pumps looked a little old, but they worked, and the price (for this area) was certainly competitive. read more

Went in there to buy some stuff. The guy before me questioned the price of his transaction because it increased all of the sudden, didn't think much of it until I made my purchase and the Same thing happened. I asked for a receipt and there was a "tax" for what just happened to round up to the next dollar (so did the guy in front of me) I looked what the tax should be for my item and it was deff less than what they charged me. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about the service. I've received nothing, but good service from the people that own/work here. When I requested help, they gave it to me. When I engaged in conversation, they reciprocated. When I asked for a receipt for whatever charges I made, they gave it to me. I found the service to be good compared to everything else about this place. Why is one place so hard to get into? AND SO HARD TO GET OUT OF. It can be so ridiculous too. Extra cluttered on the way in and nearly a drag to get out. There's not enough space for anyone. If you park just to go in the store, you'll be blocked by people on their way out from getting gas. Typical convenience store they got. There's some toilet papers, medicine, food, soda machines, Icee machines, alcohol, cigarettes and the like. The price of it all is okay compared to a Shell or a Chevron. They sell soda cans that are nearly $1. Those are cool. They are larger than a normal soda can. I went to get gas here a few times because I didn't have enough to head to Safeway or to Costco. Their gas, again, cheaper compared to the Shells and Chevrons, but the machinery! The machinery needs to be fixed. Some of the buttons don't work. The markings are worn that it's hard to read out what they are saying. Sometimes the pump needs extra maneuvering just to work. I went to grab some Icees with my little brother. We were hoping to find cherry and blueberry. What we end up finding was the blueberry being ready, but the cherry not even filled. Disappointing. Come here for cheap gas if you can't make it to Safeway and if you don't have a Coscto card. Other than that, this place is meh. Needs major improvement. read more

All Star Gas seems an ideal location for gas at market & willow pass road except for one minor problem. it's impossible to access this station from 2 directions except by looping around and turning into here by making right turns from pine and.or market street. . the place is small.. they sell diesel but i gave up buying that here years ago. even my van has trouble manuevering in here. gas drips: -take credit card at pumps -24 hours -convenience mart (liquor, flowers, incense, food, snacks, condoms too,,,,) -xxx movies for sale for the bored. -friendly indian people here. -place is always crowded. read more

In a rush, so I pull over the most closed gas station from highway. It is mist expensive, 4.19 when others still 3.6. I am running late, found out all the pump don't accept credit card at the pump. The pump machine did not tell you, you had to waste a lot of time tried several times , the. Go inside the cashier and found out. Cashier is super slow, can't blame him, he is very old, hardly can react fast. Long line, slow motion, until I get in the pump get my gas, it is super late. Pretty hard to get in and out of this place. Especially if there are lots of cars in here. The location is a busy one! But, the gas is cheap - hadn't seen $3.39 in a while so was more than happy to manuever the car through the traffic and get to a pump! read more

The only thing good about this gas station is the location, easily accessible from the freeway but the service is bad. The pumps are not working to process your debit or credit card so you need to go in and pay inside. No signs whatsoever. And you can't even ask about it? The cashier person was a jerk to me and that was uncalled for. If you don't like your job, quit! read more

I like this station. It's where I get my alcohol down the street from Waterworld!! I've always been treated respectful here and the only two negatives are the ghetto that comes here sometimes and it's on a weird corner where you have to go in a circle around the block twice. read more

The gas here is always pretty cheap. However the station is small and It's really hard to get in and out of it.

I requested a receipt from the pump for my debit card purchase, none was offered. I went inside to get one, and the attendant told me he needed to see my card. He swiped it and returned it with a receipt for the gas purchase. I asked him if he just charged me again, and he assured me that he had not. When I got home I checked my bank statement online and he lied. He charged me $1 for the receipt swipe. I called the station out of principle. The same man said that he didn't know how that happened and said that it would probably disappear in 24 hours. He assured me that they never charge for receipts, and that I should just keep checking my statement. If it didn't go away, I should return to the station with proof of the charge. RIGHT, I should drive 20 miles to get my dollar back and bring proof. What a scam; judging from the other reviewers, it appears that this station does this kind of this regularly. Also pump #11 does not have a lock on the nozzle, so you have to hold it the entire time your gas is pumping. The station is very difficult to get in and out of, one lady hit the pump while she was trying to navigate out of the station. Buyers Beware! read more

So I had a low tire and I asked the guy if I could get air and he was like no you have to get gas for it to be free. I told him since when did they start charging? I go to this gas station because a) it's close to work and b) it has gasoline. What more does one expect? Sometimes there is no squeegee for the windshield, which is annoying when driving west at sunset. I've never had any trouble with getting change, double-charging, or unfriendly employees like others have mentioned. Though it's not my preferred spot, I'm glad it's there for those days I'm not sure I have enough gas to get home. read more

Two stars for its location and the mart inside but low rating because half of the machines are basically broken. I went today and on one pump the "1" key was broken and I couldn't put in the zip code for my card to work. So I moved to the next pump. The next pump worked but when I tried to press unleaded, there was no confirmation that I pressed it. I hoped It worked and just pumped anyway, stopped at 1 gallon to see if it was the unleaded price and thank god it was. Also to get out of this place sucks, too congested. read more

If you do not want double the amount charged to your credit/debit card, do NOT buy gas here. The manager claimed that it was "normal" to place a $70 hold on your card, in addition to our $61 that we actually owed. They claim this is a security deposit of sorts. When we called the gas station they told us this was normal and it would drop off after 24 hours. After 24 hours the $70 hold did not drop off. When we called them again, they said we would have to call our bank as they would not release it and they had to do this as "so many people do not have enough money". Of course this is logical, silly me, double charge someone because they don't have enough money?! Of course. There is not even a sign stating that they will authorize for double the amount. Bottom line, do not use this gas station. They clearly are not in the habit of conducting ethical business practices, nor do they care about customer service. Shame on All Star. read more

I went in this gas station today and pumped gas, I went into the c- store and prepaid $15.00 dollars just to top up the gas in my loaner vehicle, I had to return it with same amount of gas as wen I picked it up. So when I prepaid $15.00 dollars with my credit card I went out and pumped the gas. My car only took $10.01 to fill up. I went back in the C-store to get my change and the clerk told me I can't get my change back because I used a credit card, I asked why he said that's how it is here. I told him every gas stations you go to and pump gas and your car don't take it all they refund the money back into the credit card, give cash back, put it back in your debit card. Which ever payment method you use they give back in that method, he said no we don't do that here. So I took $5.00 worth of merchandise and walked out. My whole point here is this station, employees are crooks... I will never ever go back to this station again! read more

Buyer beware! Went inside to pay for gas paid $40, tank only took $35. When I went to go get my change, attendant said I could get merchandise back only or come back later for $5 of gas since I paid with my debit card. When I refused he stated the only way I could get cash back is if I paid a $1.50 ATM fee. where do they do that at? Then he stated I should have pumped my gas BEFORE I paid then I wouldn't have overpaid! WTF! All I can say is they are a bunch of crooks at this station...... But for any bigger crooks out there these doofs obviously allow you to pump BEFORE you pay. read more

Check your credit card statement people, these guys are CROOKS! I found a $90.16 charge on my credit card statement for gas when they're sell it for $2.89 a gallon (i drive a Honda)! My credit card company is going to take care of the overcharge, but somebody needs take care of these jerks. read more

Manager Kelly is so rude is and discriminating. I had a flat tire and I was alone with my two small children, so I of course am not familiar with changing my own tire especially at night. Thank god ny friend was close by and her husband helped me. The manager came out and demanded to move ASAP. Hello we have a flat tire otherwise I would not be here. He didn't move until we were done and kept giving us a very dirty look like he was better than us. He seemed to not understand that pumping air at a gas station is what people can do and if a tire needs to get changed, we can't move the car else we're if the tire is flat!!! My debit card was charged 3 times here: once for $20 worth of gas, once about $6 for snacks, and a third time for $99 without my knowledge. I don't know why I was charged $99 because I'd already gotten my gas and there's no way I walked out of a gas station with $99 worth of snacks. I didn't find out about the extra charge until I was reviewing my bank statement a few days later. I feel like an idiot for using my card at that scuzzy place. read more
