Brady never turned down food so when they brought in chicken, he gobbled it down and although it immediately came back up, he enjoyed that last meal. The tech who gently removed his body wrapped in blankets was so kind and it meant a lot when he said that he could tell we were good dog parents. I hope no one reading this has to ever go through this but if you do, I recommend this caring business .

When I mentioned that my dog was cold while we were in the waiting room, a technician brought him a blanket. The vet was kind when he came to talk to me about my dog and then later his test results. The medication the vet prescribed had my dog eating later that same day, and back to his regular self in a couple days. I am very grateful to the care the staff provided Rocky and me.

What concerned me even more was the lack of acknowledgment in the moment, there was no apology, only an offer of gauze to clean the bleeding. I trust this clinic overall and will continue coming here, but I would strongly prefer that my dog is not scheduled with this technician in the future. My hope is simply for more careful handling, especially with smaller, older dogs who need extra gentleness.

So I call at 5:22 to see how much longer being that they close at 5:30 and was told they where still backed up and hadn't started on my dogs yet and also they would be done in a while . Ok so I don't care what the excuse is ,I have no clue if the dogs are in cages with water or have been able to use the restroom outside their cages for at least 8 1/2 ho I've avoided places like PetSmart foe this same reason . They say oh your pets just fine we have water and we walk them when in fact they don't leave their cage for like 6 hours straight and don't have water bowls either . Even with water sitting in a cage waiting to be groomed from basically 9:00 am to past 5:30 is insane . At this point I'm within reason of being upset to a certain degree . I get they are behind maybe lack help or whatever but damn if you had too many cuts lined up for one day all you had to say was sorry we are booked and left it at that . I appreciate taking my dogs in but don't understand how a small poodle and Shih Tzu take 9 hours to get groomed . Even with doing one dog an hour which i doubt is the case you'd had to have had 15-18 dogs or more all before them if you had two groomers at the least . Even if you had only 12 dogs before them that's way to much do offer to cut in the time you guys open and close . If it's not then why is taking so long?

I forgot my phone at home so I don't have pictures to share but from the moment we walked into the office I felt comfortable. The waiting room is inviting and warm. The receptionists are friendly and there are snacks and a drink fridge!! They have great artwork all around the lobby and patient rooms. I am a plant lover and the room is filled with everything from pothos to monsteras. I did give the pothos by the tv a little drink; it was thirsty. Dr. Lawton is knowledgeable and thorough. She answered all of my questions and left me feeling like Roxie was in great hands. We have a plan moving forward and that puts me at ease. Roxie is 15 and overall very healthy. They even found a gap in the leptospirosis vaccine that Roxie has been getting forever. My previous vet's office (which rhymes with Shmestlake Animal Hospital) let her lepto vaccine lapse so now Roxie needs this shot and another one in three weeks. :( They even give you a bottle of wine for being a new patient/customer. Nice touch! :) I'm so happy Roxie has a new home at Firehouse. Your pet will be happy too!

We could not have been happier with the gentle care and honesty we received at Firehouse Westlake. We were very happy to have been cared for and by Dr. Bonnet and Dr. Dillon and their staff as they were always professional, honest, and sincere. Technicians were so thorough and communicative on every step they needed to take with our pet and her care. They were so kind to us at such precious moments and decisions. The transparency of cost and the estimated time for medicine/pickup that was communicated to us at the get was spot on. We had no delays or disappointments in the meticulous care Dr. Bonnet provided. Having a 20-year old senior cat can present challenges (besides her being a spicy/mean cat) and added stress for vet visits. Dr. Bonnet really cared for us and provided professional and honest opinions in determining care for Maybea. Scheduling appointments via the app and/or calling in to speak with staff was always friendly and kind. The waiting rooms and exam rooms were very welcoming for us and our cat when we came to visit for appointments. Parking is super easy and they have about 6 parking spots that are dedicated to any pet family coming in which we appreciated. Now as our kitty has passed on my partner and I promised each other that we will no doubt make Firehouse Westlake our center point for care with our next and new pet. Here's why: she sometimes gets car sick and when we notice it is becoming more frequent, we take her in. It sounds like complete woo, but it works! When she has little, she was vomiting ~50% of the time in the car. We were desperate. We tried chiropractic care, not because we believed it would work, but simply because of our desperation and willingness to try almost anything at that point. I was shocked that it helped so much! She still feels sick on occasion, but there is a noticeable difference after she is adjusted. When she starts to get car sick more frequently, we make an appointment for her. I typically go in for an adjustment when I am getting headaches. My husband will come along and get an adjustment for minor back or foot pain (he's a runner). Diana, Dr. Harry's receptionist, has always been able to accommodate us the same day and they never leave us waiting for more than 5 minutes upon arrival. With our BCBS PPO, a visit costs us under $30 each, so it's affordable. We are so glad to have Dr. Harry here in Round Rock.
