Deangelo is just about the only dog chiropractor in town, but he was enough. When your dog has spinal/neck problems and all the vet does is give you some pain meds and send you on your way, Deangelo is the man to go to. He tended to my dog until just about the very end. I came to Active Chiropractic in a lot of pain from an injury over 10 years ago. He worked out a plan and over 12 weeks and now just once a week. I'm more active now due to less pain and no meds. I have never been a fan of chiropractors but Dr. Angelo has forever changed my mind. My DOG hurt himself and the pain that he was having was so bad that he would not raise his head, turn his head, and cried anytime I went to pet him. I was just devastated. I am so lucky to have found Dr. A when I did! He helped me through the worst of my pregnancy and has been treating me for over a year after. So, I never thought I'd need a chiropractor. Then I did something totally stupid, and injured my back. So, I went to see Dr. Marinakis at ALC. I have had three visits now. I will need to see him for a few months because my injury was pretty painful, and my regular doctor didn't know what to do, or chose not to. Working in the veterinary field requires a lot of heavy lifting. Often times you have to sacrifice your body for the sake of your patient. Dr. Marinakis not only works on humans but on dogs as well. He has been treating my dog, Charlie, who is a miniature beagle. He has a long spine and short legs and is over 10 years old. If anyone knows anything about dogs that are long in the torso, they know that they start to have serious spinal issues. In 2016 I injured my back pretty bad during a river accident. I suffered from horrible sciatic nerve pain for 7 months that medication could not help. After graduating from college and working 12 hour shifts as a nurse it became unbearable on my back I decided to finally see a doctor. My physical health also declined I could no longer run or do weight bearing exercises. My doctor recommended seeing a chiropractor. He believed I had a herniated disc in my lower back.
