Brady never turned down food so when they brought in chicken, he gobbled it down and although it immediately came back up, he enjoyed that last meal. The tech who gently removed his body wrapped in blankets was so kind and it meant a lot when he said that he could tell we were good dog parents. I hope no one reading this has to ever go through this but if you do, I recommend this caring business .

By the time I arrived Elsa was responsive and stabilizing. Literally a minute after taking Elsa from me, the vet told me she had stopped breathing and needed CPR. I said go do what you have to do. The vet, who seemed almost annoyed at having to play nursemaid to an ailing cat came back out a few minutes later and said she was gone. Make no mistake, Elsa had numerous complications, and I probably would have had to put her down eventually. But it would have been on my terms, and she would have been with me instead of dying at the hands of a compassionless ghoul. If I had gone straight home from Sage Imaging instead of stopping by this house of horrors that passes for a vet hospital, Elsa would be alive. Steer clear of this place like you would the Bates Motel. Nothing but death and sorrow await you.

My female cat has started experiencing kidney/urinary issues over the past year. A couple of weeks…read moreago, I took her in for updated bloodwork since her previous vet (who has since left Paz) wanted to monitor a specific marker. The appointment cost around $200-$250. During this appointment I wasn't seen by a doctor, just the tech, but was assured a doctor would review her bloodwork and contact me. They emailed me to say that "everything was within normal range." However, since I specifically wanted to see the results for this particular marker, I requested a copy of the bloodwork. To my surprise, when I reviewed the results, multiple markers were clearly concerning, even to my untrained eye. When I asked questions about these findings, they told me I'd need to schedule another follow-up appointment (with an additional visit fee) and bring her back in just to discuss the results. Why would I stress my cat out with another car ride/vet visit just to get answers about my previous appointment? This makes no sense. On top of that, it took them about a week to even call me back. During this time, I hired an online vet to review the bloodwork. To my shock, this vet confirmed that the results show early signs of kidney disease--the leading cause of death in cats--and stressed the importance of starting preventative measures immediately. In short, I can no longer recommend this clinic. All the good vets have left, and the quality of care provided could cause major health concerns to go missed. As other reviewers have mentioned, this place has home down hill and that has been very apparent, but until now I had just been too lazy to do the research and switch. Please find a better option! This clinic claims to be holistic and to have a natural approach, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Don't be fooled by the cute decor and logo. -- we have used the East Side and South First locations.

I took my dog here after concerns for my dog not eating, lethargic, and dazed. I was able to walk in on a Sunday and see the Dr quickly. I felt reassured and taken care of while speaking with her. I trusted her recommendations and her explanations of the different treatment options I could choose. NHAH did not feel commercialized as some other places do. I would absolutely come back if any of my pets needed care!

I trust this clinic overall and will continue coming here, but I would strongly prefer that my dog is not scheduled with this technician in the future. Dr. Geigel "gets it" and has provided excellent care for my dog for the last five years. He provided mobile services when in-clinic care would prove too stressful, advocated for sensible preventative care and monitoring, and helped me pursue humane, sensible life extension solutions for my dog, who has prostatic cancer. Without Dr. Geigel's vigilance and expertise we may have missed the initial growth and my dog would be dead now. It's been almost a year and a half since that original diagnosis and Cecil is still going strong, as delightful and obnoxious as ever. He likes living and I like having him here. Ok so I don't care what the excuse is ,I have no clue if the dogs are in cages with water or have been able to use the restroom outside their cages for at least 8 1/2 ho I've avoided places like PetSmart foe this same reason . They say oh your pets just fine we have water and we walk them when in fact they don't leave their cage for like 6 hours straight and don't have water bowls either . Even with water sitting in a cage waiting to be groomed from basically 9:00 am to past 5:30 is insane . At this point I'm within reason of being upset to a certain degree . I get they are behind maybe lack help or whatever but damn if you had too many cuts lined up for one day all you had to say was sorry we are booked and left it at that . I appreciate taking my dogs in but don't understand how a small poodle and Shih Tzu take 9 hours to get groomed . Even with doing one dog an hour which i doubt is the case you'd had to have had 15-18 dogs or more all before them if you had two groomers at the least . Even if you had only 12 dogs before them that's way to much do offer to cut in the time you guys open and close . If it's not then why is taking so long?

I forgot my phone at home so I don't have pictures to share but from the moment we walked into the office I felt comfortable. The waiting room is inviting and warm. The receptionists are friendly and there are snacks and a drink fridge!! They have great artwork all around the lobby and patient rooms. I am a plant lover and the room is filled with everything from pothos to monsteras. I did give the pothos by the tv a little drink; it was thirsty. Dr. Lawton is knowledgeable and thorough. She answered all of my questions and left me feeling like Roxie was in great hands. We have a plan moving forward and that puts me at ease. Roxie is 15 and overall very healthy. They even found a gap in the leptospirosis vaccine that Roxie has been getting forever. My previous vet's office (which rhymes with Shmestlake Animal Hospital) let her lepto vaccine lapse so now Roxie needs this shot and another one in three weeks. :( They even give you a bottle of wine for being a new patient/customer. Nice touch! :) I'm so happy Roxie has a new home at Firehouse. Your pet will be happy too!

We were very happy to have been cared for and by Dr. Bonnet and Dr. Dillon and their staff as they were always professional, honest, and sincere. Technicians were so thorough and communicative on every step they needed to take with our pet and her care. They were so kind to us at such precious moments and decisions. The transparency of cost and the estimated time for medicine/pickup that was communicated to us at the get was spot on. We had no delays or disappointments in the meticulous care Dr. Bonnet provided. Having a 20-year old senior cat can present challenges (besides her being a spicy/mean cat) and added stress for vet visits. Dr. Bonnet really cared for us and provided professional and honest opinions in determining care for Maybea. Scheduling appointments via the app and/or calling in to speak with staff was always friendly and kind. The waiting rooms and exam rooms were very welcoming for us and our cat when we came to visit for appointments. Parking is super easy and they have about 6 parking spots that are dedicated to any pet family coming in which we appreciated. Now as our kitty has passed on my partner and I promised each other that we will no doubt make Firehouse Westlake our center point for care with our next and new pet.
