We recently had this business do a house and roof wash on our home. While they also offer window…read morecleaning, we chose to do that ourselves knowing that it would definitely need to be done after all the dirt came off the house. The two men started with the soft (low pressure) washing of the roof which had moss or algae on the shady north side. It was interesting to see how the assistant first secured plastic trash bags to the ends of all the downspouts to catch the water and chemicals that were used on the roof. We were alerted that we could expect to see the green algae turn white when it died, and it would eventually be washed away by heavy rain. That is exactly what happened once we had some rain. Some sections of the siding also had algae stains which were very effectively cleaned by these two guys with their high pressure hose. It's so nice to see a clean house again. Bottom line is we are very pleased with the work they did. They were very personable and, while they were on their ladder, even offered to cut back a couple of small tree branches that were hitting the roof. It took them about three to four hours for the entire job and they did not leave any kind of mess for us to pick up after them. We will definitely keep them in mind the next time we are ready to wash the siding, which they recommend should be done every two years. They didn't think we would need to do the roof again.

Roofing companies can be a tricky industry to deal with in my experience, so I really did my research. I am SO glad I chose S&G Roofing. Eric King came by to give me an estimate, and talked over my options, and added a few suggestions (at their own expense) to be added. He also gave me three or four local roofs he installed and I had a look first hand at how they turned out. On the install date, still skeptical, I was expecting the worse. By 7:05am, I was already completely overwhelmed by the total and complete professionalism from every single member of the crew. The entire crew worked together as a well oiled machine. The roof was torn off, rebuilt, and the yard cleaned up all in one single day, and it looks beautiful! They took an extremely stressful situation, and made it stress free. Many thanks S&G. Sean O.

A week a week of calling for the estimate they only gave an estimate to replace the roof and not what was asked to be fixed. I then called and tried to get an explanation and was ghosted by Jason. 2 weeks later pallet of shingles was delivered and called to figure out why they were delivered. They were going to do the work without any authorization or talk of me paying them. Told them to pick up the shingles which they agreed to. Next day they showed up to do the work thank god someone was home to stop them. Was probably going to try and scam us for a new roof without agreeing to it. Very unprofessional company and would never recommend them to anyone ever.

I started out late last year 2022 getting quotes for asbestos pipe insulation removal at my house…read moreand the first company I called was TJ Bell, since they are local. Dan came and he explained exactly what they were going to do and what my responsibility was in different situations of asbestos removal. I thought he was pretty thorough and was almost set to hire, but there were other things I needed to check out and also I wanted to get a quote from somebody else to compare. Fast forward to this year, and I thought that I will give them a call once again earlier this year, as there was another section of asbestos pipe insulation I needed asbestos removal. Knowing nothing about asbestos removal and the process, I was initially focused on just getting the worst sections done that were crumbling and not adequately wrapped, because of what I thought the cost would be and because of necessity in removing the worst pieces. He did give me a detail of how much it would cost in quotes, with the largest quote detailing getting rid of everything at close to $7500, not including air monitoring. It seemed like a lot of money given the area of pipe insulation that needed removing, so I wanted to check around other places this year in order to compare. When I called him this year to find out if the quote still were good, and availability to do the job, I thought that Dan was strangely kind of rude in his responses to me.. when I first called him again, he responded to a standard greeting of "Hello Dan how you doing?" with " I don't even know how to respond to that" in response. The conversation didn't get much better from that, as he sounded very annoyed. Who does that? Who knows, maybe he thought I was screwing him around, but I trust you not, you can't screw around with things like asbestos and getting capable people to removing it as well. I thought it was kind of argumentative, not very business like and a somewhat rude way to treat a prospective customer. It nonetheless signaled a red flag to me. It was then I knew that I better look elsewhere for a better responsive contractor, maybe a better price and better relationship with the contractor. I found somebody not too soon after that was just as meticulous and even saved me two grand to get rid of everything.

We call this company to have them come fix it, and have been told they are under new management. When I asked if they had received everything they needed and I could schedule a date to have my roof fixed, I was told the new management hadn't reviewed the paperwork yet and they couldn't come fix my roof until it was reviewed. Apparently the new owners are entirely electronic, and didn't have my contract on file. I just want my roof fixed!
