I then called and tried to get an explanation and was ghosted by Jason. 2 weeks later pallet of shingles was delivered and called to figure out why they were delivered. They were going to do the work without any authorization or talk of me paying them. Told them to pick up the shingles which they agreed to. Next day they showed up to do the work thank god someone was home to stop them. Was probably going to try and scam us for a new roof without agreeing to it. Very unprofessional company and would never recommend them to anyone ever.

I unfortunately did not end up getting the property for the following reasons: 1) I was told that the gas line could be put in for $5k, but it turned out the gas company wouldn't run it at all. 2) After accepting my offer they tried to reduce the size of the lot by a half acre. 3) They put $11k/ year on the listing for the "estimated" taxes, but their estimate was a bit off when the tax bill came back at $21k/year! 4) I believe that the listing agent was somehow an owner in the property too, but she didn't disclose that in the listing. STEER CLEAR of these people, or at least Jamie Mazuryk! If her lips were moving, she is probably lying.

When everything came in, he installed two doors plus replaced an overhead door with a solid, double door to the cellar. He was on time, finished ahead of schedule and his products are excellent. My father had received a quote for replacing a bay window from another company in town that he had hired before. That other company looked to take advantage of that and quoted my father a price of $10,000 to replace it. I got involved and looked for other options and was truly fortunate to find J&D Windows and Doors. First off, the price was a FRACTION of what the first company quoted, but more than that David really took in a genuine interest in discussing all the options with my father so that my father was comfortable knowing he was getting exactly what he wanted. The other company took a more cookie cutter approach and was more interested in seeing dollar signs than customer satisfaction.. Due to Covid, supply was interrupted so the new window couldn't be installed when initially scheduled. That had nothing to do with J&D but David still gave my father a discount due to the inconvenience. Completely unnecessary but most appreciated and just a classy move on his part. All told, the work to take out the old bay and put in the new took little more than a morning with a little finishing to be done the next day. CONSUMER BEWARE Had Carl come to the house to look at our…read moreLennox Gas Fire insert. The Gas Fire would come on for a half hour 45 minutes and then turn off. After collecting $250 for the service call, we were told he had other calls to go on and could not stay for a half hour 45 minutes to see if the fire place would stay lit after he secured the glass to some latches, saying maybe it was because of a air leak. When we called to let him know the fireplace still was not staying lit. He said it was probably the valve. Never bothered coming back to investigate further. Just said they no longer make Lenox Valves. The problem was the fireplace sensors connections just needed a good cleaning. Definitely a money grab business looking to sell a new fireplace for the tune of $6,000.

We bought a new wood insert from them in 2019. The people and product were very nice but we were…read moredisappointed we had to clean the glass every few days to be able to see the fire. A year or so ago we learned it was because the unit they sold us was WAY too large for the space, so the fires we were burning were not hot enough to keep the glass relatively free of soot. We called and told them, suggesting they might swap ours out for a similarly valued used one the correct size, but they didn't respond. A few months later our follow up email received the same silence. We ended up buying fire bricks to fill enough space in it to allow us to burn smaller, hotter fires without overheating the room. It helped, but we still have to do more glass cleaning than we should and ended up spending more money on the larger unit than we needed to. Note: I will update this review if and when they make an effort to help us out.
