Clancy Real Estate has a listing in my neighborhood: 12 Coyote Lane, North Greenbush. The Sellers have moved away, out of state, well over 2 months ago. Apparently the property has sold but not closed & sits vacant. The property has become an eyesore with the lawn: overgrown grass, weeds & dandelion seeds that have infiltrated the surrounding lawns. The neighbors surrounding this home pay for their lawn care & there has been some complaining. All the neighbors on coyote lane take pride in their property & their neat neighborhood. Clancy Real Estate, what a trip! I hate change so I took 3 years to find the perfect house. We started with Kevin selling my husbands home and Karen Pagano Health jumping onboard to start the search with me for a new home. Sometimes I'd text her in the late evening and request a totally unreasonable showing, she'd make it happen. Hahaha Karen and Kevin were cool about it, Kevin's expert appraisal skills assured me that my townhouse would sell immediately because he fairly assessed the home against the market. Kevin and Karen sat together through a very long meeting when she put my home under contract. They knew when to move the $ margin and helped to secure a great negotiation about 40 days out! Remember I left the country, so she literally sold my house in just a few short weeks! We've had so many conversations since then, some business but more personal. We've developed an unexpected friendship. Kevin is "Blue In The Face" now!!! Which is a huge celebration! Today I closed on my selling, a few weeks ago we closed on our buy. 3 houses in 3 years and me and my husband would never consider anyone else! They're easy to talk to! Easy to argue with! We had an absolutely unforgettable negative experience with Mr. Kevin Clancy. He is very smooth at the initial interview. He asked us for a glass of water and we found out that he does that to all sellers to ease the meeting and create an informal environment. Mr. Clancy sold us on Clancy Real estate after about 30 minutes of sitting with him. We figured that because of his advertising he would get our Guilderland home sold in a quick amount of time. After a week of being on the market I asked Kevin where our home was being listed besides online. Kevin's answer" We have a team of agents that work with buyers who submit requests and information online". Well kevin, where were these buyers, I said? From that point on, Mr. Clancy became hostile, combative, and rude. We had 2 showings in less than 30 days and both were from agents who were unprepared, late, and had no idea what our home offered. Mr. Clancy's excuse, " I cant control the other agents". No, but Kevin who we hired could have been there representing our house which is what we expected when we hired him. If Kevin would have showed some sort of effort similar to what he showed us the evening we hired him, I wouldn't be writing this review. I feel consumers to need to know that what you see on TV or read on a business owners website is not always true. We ended up listing with another firm and although not a perfect transaction, this agent was far more courteous and respectful of our needs. Buyer beware of Mr. Clancy and his marketing "pitch". I am deeply saddened by the poor quality of the real estate agents at Clancy Real Estate. One in particular, his name is Kevin **. His agents showed my home for sale with a friend. Upon arriving, two people pulled in behind her in a black jeep and started roaming my property. She asked them who they were and they responded, "We are waiting for the owner's friend to get here." She went inside the home and when she came out, their vehicle was still there but they were "nowhere in sight". I returned to my property two days later to find my garage completely ransacked and picked through. Whatever was worth any value was stolen. Dehumidifier, pedestal sink, christmas decorations, clothes, step ladders, down to the lawn mower belt hanging on the wall. When I got there, I was devastated. Filing a police report was no help. I contacted my jerk real estate agent from Berkshire Hathaway and said I wanted a list of any agents that were showing my house that weekend. I found Kevin's contact information and asked him questions. He said he doesn't show properties. He was willing to help me the night I found out but the next day He didn't exist. He said they are just things... then blocked me. JUST THINGS?! My whole garage was robbed on his agents watch and his agent MET THEM. What a ** company and a ** real estate agent. After hearing Kevin Clancy commercials I figured I would give him a call when it came time to sell my home in Albany. He was pretty enthusiastic in the initial appointment talking about all the marketing he did. What he failed to tell me was that he doesn't market properties but rather himself. He purchases ads on real estate websites to attract new customers. When I asked Mr. Clancy why I see other real estate brokers advertising, his response was "he was the best agent in the area and that advertising didn't work". As I noticed other homes in my neighborhood sell, Mr. Clancy became more and more distant from my home. I felt like every time I reached out to him I was bothering him.
