The owner, Danny, is a really nice guy [and I think he actually cares about whether his clients are reaching their goals or not!]. When you first go in to talk to him, he asks you what your goals are, and gives you a kind of overview of what you need to do to reach them. He also provides you with a nutrition plan and performs an assessment every so often to make sure you know how you're doing and whether what you're doing is working for you. =] And Danny always encourages you to push beyond what you think your limit is. A lot of us, at first, have the idea that maybe we can't lift past a certain weight or that our bodies will give up after 10 standard pushups; Danny won't let you do that to yourself. He'll say Do whatever you can at X and X and then when you really can't anymore you can go lighter/modify. The boot camp offered here is always intense. I never leave a class without being soaked in sweat. Every day is something different; intervals, challenges, timed sets, etc. One of the things I like about the boot camp is that although you're working out with a bunch of other people, you're essentially still doing everything at your own pace and according to your own ability. There are no machines utilized in this boot camp [actually, there are no machines at all in this gym]. Everything is pretty much against your own weight, on the TRX, or by utilizing dumbbells and kettlebells. Cardio is done indoors and outdoors; anything from sprinting with a sandbag, jogging around the block, or doing tons of burpees/jumping jacks/mountain climbers. Every boot camp pretty much covers both cardio and strengthening exercises. And the boot camp schedule is great; there are a bunch of different times you can go - so no excuses! I've also done the personal training at Dynamic Fitness. I think the personal training is great as well, especially if you really want to focus on certain areas. In PT I would request working out a certain muscle group, and Danny would find the exercises that worked for that. Also, in the personal training you get to try different things that maybe you can't do in boot camp because of the class size. Basically, I love this place. I have seen more results since I started working out here back in September 2010, than I ever saw in the two years I worked out with a personal trainer at Bally's before that. This is the place to get stronger, leaner, healthier, faster, and overall better.

And when it comes to that workout, my Lord Jesus, Carlos did not mess around. I absolutely LOVED it! The 50 minutes goes by in no time. They also have a cold plunge and sauna and they have showers (bring your own towel). The one thing that stood out to me besides the incredible workout, was the community. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I didn't overwhelmed, but I felt supported. Carlos did a great job being observant enough to correct me when only God knows what in the world I was doing. lol! It was a really nice spot and I loved the fact that they offer a one week trial before you commit. The smoothie and snack bar was a nice treat at the end. Adrien, made me a protein shake that filled my stomach and renewed my energy. This is a place to definitely get in a workout in a warm and welcoming community. Recently a group of friends of mine from a different gym and I went to check it out (finally!) and take a class. We took the 10am class on Saturday and it didn't disappoint! Adrian was very welcoming and nice. He explained how the workout worked, answered all our questions and even offered to take pictures of our group all together! The workout consisted of HIIT cardio and strength training. A lot of ball slamming that particular weekend. The class was challenging and Adrian was very motivating. The running portion killed me because I'm not used to running unless someone is chasing me, lol. The only thing I think this place really needs is towels. I didn't bring one and by the end I was soaked in sweat with nothing to dry off with. Next time I'll remember to bring my own! Overall it was a great sweat session and I'm glad we made the trip down. The gym is open, spacious, well equipped, cool A/C, the floor and equipment is very clean. The trainers demonstrate each of the 9 exercises for that day. There are 3 sets of 3 exercises for 3 stations. The exercises are very easy for a newbie to grasp but are very challenging. The group was also very friendly for my first day. The trainers walk around each station to check on you for the entire 50 minutes. The music is loud and upbeat. They will not let you quit, highly motivating. The sessions begin with a run around the corporate parking lot then up and down the stairs from the 2nd floor. There is a fixed schedule of legs, upper body, total body, legs, upper body then total body from Monday - Saturday. Danny also does personal one on one personal training sessions. There is ample parking in the open lot in front and on the side. When I arrived the 2nd day, the trainer knew my name and greets you personally. The women attending my class were very friendly.

They have everything from 7 and 8 foot walls, inverted and tilted walls, a spear throw station, an Olympus, Twister, monkey bars, ropes, 400lb tires, and rings. I signed up for a free class online since I was only visiting. The staff and members couldn't have been more welcoming! Coach Chris and David were so helpful, offering so many tips for approaching various obstacles. Just with their careful coaching, once daunting obstacles became a cake walk. It was a blazing hot and humid evening, but their 1-hour class quite literally replicated an actual Spartan race -- 4 miles total with various obstacles and exercises sprinkled throughout. It was quite the challenging workout! Killer! I wish I was able to make it out to one of their free beach workouts offered on the weekends at 7:30am and 8:30am at the Cadillac Hotel, but unfortunately bachelorette shenanigans make it difficult to wake up early. XD Know that they are an elite facility! They don't just offer an OCR program either. They have defense and HIIT style of workouts. They even have an awesome kids program which teaches them ninja and acrobatic type of skills. Little Haiti is nearby and a very troubled neighborhood. They work very closely with the at risk youth there by offering a safe haven to them. The facility is otherwise in Little River and towards the back of a co-op of buildings in a rather safe area. There are even a couple of breweries neighboring it. I absolutely loved the overall vibe of this place! They don't offer classes per say and do function off of a program based system, keep in mind. I think it can get kind of pricey, but you WILL get your money's worth. The coaching offered here is nothing short of superior.
