This company offered the first 3 months at 50% off. I had scheduled to move in with 4 days left in the month. I got busy and didn't sign the lease OR move in. The rental agreement was counting those 4 days as a whole month. When I called to say that was not what was advertised, they said they would make "an exception " and honor the 3 months if I paid full price for the 4 days. I said they were showing me that they were dishonset by that comment and I would not be signing their rental agreement. Now they have sent me a move out notice but say I owe another month of rent. Again, no lease signed and I didn't move in. Run from this bunch and rent from someone with an honest person on site. read more

This storage company is one of the worst I've encountered. I was a real customer and recently experienced a friend having all kinds of issues with All Purpose Storage. This prompted my review today. I have experienced every type of fraud, corruption and greed from All Purpose Storage. I went from renting a storage unit with a local small business, fair pricing, good support etc. to an overnight change after buyout. Change is understandable but not this type of change! Local Storage Owners realize that tenants are still customers. Rules are in place and tenants must follow the rules. All is transparent. My experience with All Purpose Storage feels nothing like a consumer experience and more like an extortion racket. No transparency exists. Problems: Security, misuse of credit card information, opt-out insurance scam, grey area mindset (push the legal limits), price gouging, Astroturfing and gaslighting (charitable giving and local or community care). Extreme caution is necessary if you use this company. This means be forewarned that they care only about maximizing profit and will do everything "grifters" and unethical businesses do to make a buck. IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS....and no other Storage facility exists....then use them at your own risk! Mitigation is possible but it is exhausting! The "Opt-Out" Insurance scam uses a loose but flawed theory of legality that must be challenged at the State Insurance Board level. The structure they use is illegal in many States as All Purpose Storage is not a licensed broker. These guys are affiliated with and partner with a Las Vegas venture capital firm, Patriot Holdings. Call your State Insurance Commission or Board of Licensing. Report to your State Attorney Generals Office These guys ooze American Greed and slime. American greed and slime is far worse than other countries as we are supposed to believe it doesn't happen here. This is America. Well just look around, it happens here and has been for a long time. We are starting to wake up and feel the pain. If you enjoy this special American type of business and aspire to join the club, then these guys should be on your must talk to list! Look them up. This is one of the worst storage companies I have ever dealt with. They went from buying out a few storage units on their own to getting affiliated with a VC group "Patriot Holdings" out of Las Vegas and now have 81 units. The VC, Patriot holdings in their "about" section waxes eloquently on their storage strategy with high margins of 30%, their ability to raise rates 20% during covid, etc...no mention of creating value or service to customers They have increased rates at least once a year with less than 30 days notice so it is harder to plan an exit. They just recently pre-charged for insurance saying that once their "opt out" service verifies alternative coverage they will refund. They have made no improvements to the facility I am in. The only thing their customer service is "apologizing" and saying they will do better next time... Their purchases seem to be concentrated in smaller towns significantly reducing the availability of locally owned storage. They seem to be stuck in servicing their VC investors and the debt they have incurred from their buying spree. The only thing I can do is lobby my state department of consumer affairs to see if they can stop these acquisition sprees which result in higher storage rates and less consumer choice. Do not rent from this company. At one time we rented 3 units, and things went well, then not only did they raise their prices (double what other storage places are charging) but then tried to hit us up for "insurance costs". We provided them with documentation that we had insurance coverage through our personal insurance co. 2 Days ago, they sent an email saying that they were going to charge 12.00 per month for insurance, then today debited our card for the yearly cost for their insurance. This a second entry under complaints. They are not even serviced by the Better Business Bureau, which speaks badly for them. They have locked me out of my unit and have charged me Tenant Protection fees which I previously opted out of because I have Homeowners insurance. They keep billing me and have now locked me out of my storage. I have called the onsite telephone who referred me to the Keene NH regional telephone number. Twice I have called this number to speak to a human being to resolve my problem and on both occasions they failed to respond to my message. I am consulting my attorney to deal with them as I have thousands of dollars of valuables stored which they have threatened to auction off. Their messages are continually threatening. New Hampshire told me that my 10 by 20 was 3 months, 50% off. And then a supervisor called me and said that's not true so I said. Well, that's what I was told. On June 24, 2021 we moved our travel trailer into Jaffery-Ringe Self Storage and signed a contract good until Dec. 15, 2021. We moved out on Dec.5, 2021 and ever since then have been trying to get our $60 deposit back. Meanwhile the storage facility was sold to All Purpose Storage. The previous owner did not inform the new owners that we had moved out. Therefore, they also refuse to return our $60 deposit and in fact, want to charge us for for use of the storage even though it should be obvious that our 34' travel trailer is not there! read more

they over charge they up the rent for the unit a couple times in one ur u have to pay insurance or provide ur own they don't lock the gate they "accidentally " lock u out for 2 weeks knowing the maintenance man is gone on vacation for 2 weeks so thats a month u can't get into It and they keep charging me a 22$ late fee when they r late collecting I use my bank card and i tell them on the first to charge it well on the 7th they will charge it and give me a 22$ late fee if u do auto pay u might wanna watch what they r charging u. my unit went from 90$ to now 182$ a month with a fee every month of 22$ for being late and I pay it and next month it's the same even though I paid it they tell me sorry we Weill fix it but next month again 22$ added and 14$ for Insurance read more

***I pay a year at a time for a storage unit. We started it somewhere around this time of year. Again I pay a year at a time. 12/16 I received a 15 day lock out notice vie email and text. However had a credit. I only still owed $37 so I wasn't even past due at this point. I was unable to reach storage late via phoneFriday 12/16, or at all Saturday 12/17 I left a long detailed message. I was notified I was locked out which I shouldn't have been. So I could not move the things from my toy drive. I waited to move the toy drive stuff to storage till Monday which was a huge inconvenience. Monday 12/19 when I called and paid the balance I owed for this month I was told we weren't actually locked out. When I spoke to someone on 12/19 who was lovely, very apologetic. explains that bernardston is under new management. I'm not actually double locked because it's new management & they won't double lock for 60 days past due. Mind you this was the 16th I received a past due/lock out notice and there was a credit. Then MONDAY I paid the balance. I was told my bill will be increasing by 50% I was not ok with this as we cant afford this huge increase & inquired about a discount Bc we're a non-profit and we'll pay for the year. she had me send in some docs o tey and get us a non profit rate. again she was very nice and helpful. p I never knew the exact due date because I was never SENT AN INVOICE. i was HOWEVER contacted 2 different ways to tell me I was past due. Again bill was paid 12/19 for the less then half a month we owed. Fast forward.. I have been OVER locked /Locked out of my unit and not notified of being unlocked for a minimum 7 days at this point. I owe no money. 12/22 we go to collect whats left from our tot drive to bring to storage. We Drive almost an hour to get to the unit and IT IS LOCKED. Big blue lock next to mine. It's paid I have been reassured ITS DOUBLE LOCKED. THERE IS NO ONE TO BE FOUND and the phone number all over all the units and the office door is NOT WORKING. I find the text sent with the lockout info & locate a number it's not working. Find one online but the text listed the NON WORKING NUMBER. I call. Talk to someone who isn't helpful. I ask to speak to a manager. To which she tells me she is a manager. They tell me they will put in a maintenance request. OK well I am here right now. Right this second. Over an hour from home. Multiple Vehicles. THIS IS INSANE she proceeds to tell me I'll be credited the $15lock our fee. well that's good because I don't owe a balance & I have been treated very poorly for a loyal customer and I am not happy. Of course that's gonna be credited. BUT WHERE IS THE HUMAN who is coming to unlock myunit. She said. We'll notify you when it's been unlocked. NO NO NO NO. I NEED someone now. What am I supposed to do now. Is she serious? I ask to be compensated for my troubles as a very loyal customer. We pay a year at a time and I give her a recap. The woman said.... IM GONNA HAVE TO ASK ....wait for it... management about a credit. Hold up. Who the are you because I surely asked for a manager. I have asked roughly 10x when the person was coming. We are here now. I told her Right now. Drove an hour. Have kids to pick up. She just says they will call when it's been unlocked. I ask for a manager again. She tells me that's not an option. I request her name and employee I'd so I can call and speak to a manager & this woman hangs up. She hung up on me because I feel I am being treated poorly and would like her held accountable. I'm just standing there in utter defeat, disbelief and in tears. I didn't scream at her. I was pretty precise, assertive & detail oriented. But I don't yell.... I STILL have not been notified my unit has been unlocked. No calll, no text. No email. We have multiple cars full of toys and no access to a unit that's paid.
