The expectation was that the business dry clean the garment. We received back a garment that was damaged. The garment was burned and unwearable. We requested that the business rectify the situation. They attempted dry cleaning it again, but it was clear that they had ruined the garment. They advised that they needed to send the garment to a third party to determine culpability. We followed back up a couple weeks later and they had not followed through with the engagement of the third party. Weeks later a verdict was received by the dry cleaner that they were not at fault. More than three months have passed and the result is that we purchased a garment and have been harmed financially by this company with no path to receive compensation for the damage or the time spent thus far.

Since this date, my Mom has made multiple phone calls and visits to the store to speak with the owner and continues to get the runaround from all of the employees, including the owner's Meanwhile, my grandmother's furniture is no where to be found and my Mom has not received a single penny for these high quality/high ticket items. I find it completely disheartening that a business like this is still running in my hometown and hasn't been investigated by the better business bureau to date. First, the goods here have been carefully selected and displayed. We're convinced most of them are of very good quality, if used, and priced at extraordinarily good prices. In other words, they are priced to move, not to see how much money you can pay. The staff is agreeable, and they can deliver for a small charge. It's not a big store, but they have a good turnover, so frequent visits are suggested if you're looking for something specific. We found what we were looking for and more, and we have returned several times. We highly recommend it, along with a visit to Find It in Keene. (See our other review.) We'd suggest avoiding Penelope's in keene, which sells higher priced, lower quality items, in our opinion.

The showers are coin operated. You get 5 minutes for .50, so not too bad. There is a Walmart, gas station, grocery store, and liquor store within 10 minutes from the campground. There was a comment made during adult bingo, and someone said "lynch him lynch him" naturally as someone part of the bipoc community, I IMMEDIATELY felt uncomfortable. In addition, someone stated, "come as you are" & multiple other people said "this is a family campground." Yet, then proceeded to talk about...upside down pineapples, (look up the meaning) and other things. Again, this was an adult bingo, and I don't mind raunchy, but those were very discriminatory statements made. In addition, the "seasonal" campers, or possible group campers made us feel VERY uncomfortable at the pool.
