All the bricks were pulled up and the highest standards used to reset and set brick. A cement curbing under the brick not only secured brick but provided a means for directing run off water. The brick was also power washed. (Unfortunately, other remodeling elsewhere created dust and dirt on brick afterwards but that will be hosed off.)

I'm temporarily downgrading my review significantly because my concrete patio is having problems…read morecalled "scaling". This is where the top layer starts to crumble. Here's what makes me mad - I saw this last year just after he finished and asked him about it. He said it was just in the process of curing. Last weekend I finally had the time and chance to truly spend time out on my patio and when I was sweeping up noticed that the scaling is on about half of the patio - a very large area. So this is either because it wasn't finished properly or cured properly (or maybe wasn't he right PSI). Things happen and nobody's perfect, but my rating will depend entirely on whether or not he steps up and fixes this issue (although from my research it seems there is no real "fix" just a way to delay the inevitable). What a hassle. And a shame because he really is so easy to work with.
