The start date was delayed one week due to equipment failure. When the crew did arrive, I gave a brief review of my expectations. They then lost no time in getting down to work. Four days later I was amazed at the transformation of our overgrown forest. We hired All Phase to clear a couple of acres covered with blackberries, poison oak, wild cherry, ivy, wisteria, and more. Troy and his company came through in the clutch! I had a tree hanging over my house, my garage, my power lines, my neighbors fence (had it fallen badly it could have ruined their deck), and worst of all it had recently been attacked by beetles and was all orange (thankfully not too far gone). We recently hired All Phase Land Clearing to create defensible space around a summer cabin in the Emigrant Gap area, and we have only positive things to say about them. We had many dead and dying trees, as well as trees too close together or close to structures to be fire safe. There was also a lot of understory growth and debris on the ground needing removal. Additionally, the terrain was too rocky and uneven to bring in a masticator, which meant everything had to be hand cleared and chipped. In all, it was about 3 acres needing to be cleaned up. We had gotten bids from multiple tree and brush clearing outfits, ranging from the bigger companies that do large, commercial jobs to the 'two guys with chainsaws' types.
