Rice, chicken, chicken, veggie cutlet, chutney (cilantro), and mango chutney

I had to check out this place today and see what it is all about as I drive by it a lot. There was like no one in there minus a few customers here and there until we were about to finish our meal and then a group came in. It's a very low key buffet style of food and was pretty clean inside. They had 3 types of rice, 3 types of chicken, not many veggie options, a salad, a dessert, and all their sauces. I do love that they have a sign that states what the product is, if it's dairy free or has dairy, nuts, and gluten free on it. The food is so so, I think there are better Indian food places out there than this as the chicken was more so dry than I prefer. Also, I am not sure why they lack other things like just a basic chickpea dish or some other options. The cashier was very kind and we recommend trying here if you're curious about the place. I'm not sure why it's $9 per pound and why it's so expensive compared to other restaurants that sell the same food or why they do not have a lunch special. I feel like the cost vs the food quality isn't it. I think we paid like $18.99 each for the buffet so be very hungry and prepared if you go here. Parking seems scary as there isn't much so it's best to just park on Craig some where and walk to this restaurant.

The service is amazing. The food is so perfect. I don't eat any food and when I eat something I wanna eat something special and this satisfied me.

Onion Naan Goat Curry

I ordered through door dash and got lamb biryani and goat curry spice 3 and onion naan. If you like oily curry with your naan this is the spot! 10/10 would eat again ! Thank you! Get spice 4 and thank me later! The pic may not look so appealing but the food is delicious!

Service was fast and so was the food! Super chill ambiance and kinda gives mom and pops joint vibes. I came in with a friend and we were seated immediately. Although there was only one guy serving, he was very helpful and timely. They offer a free appetizer with a some kind of chip and dip. I wish I knew the name (sorry) but it was really good. I ordered the lamb vindaloo and spice level of 8/10. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't that spicy and it was a little sweet. However the meat was cooked to perfection. My friend ordered some sorta fried chicken boneless pieces 8/10 in spice level and he said his plate was very spicy. Either way we enjoyed our food and especially the fast service.

So happy we showed up and found out All India reopened their buffet! The set up is new and the food memorable and delicious as always!

I'm always happy to be here. Palak Paneer is my go to for the love of cheese and spinach. I have never been disappointed and willing to LIVE in mango chicken curry.

On a one night trip to the area, I figured searching for an Indian buffet was a prime idea. Luckily with a little research, the dinner buffet at All India popped up with good reviews and within a 15 minute drive of the hotel. Driving up, we parked on the side street, but there was a parking lot as well. With many coolers against the wall of beers and drinks, it looks like a good place for local and popular drinks to-go. We were sent to the back of the restaurant, the buffet in one corner and about 8-10 tables and booths for sitting. Not too crowded on a Monday night, but was the buffet overflowing with options! From good pieces of goat in the curry, to delicious palak and tikka masala, all the way to the salad bar and dessert options, there were enough options to end up at the buffet with full plates multiple times without making it down the line. Loved the garlic butter naan, palak, goat, chicken tikka, and the gulab jamun. Am I driving 4 hours to Pittsburgh for this buffet again in the future? Most definitely.

Tamarind is closed on Mondays, so we came up the street to All India. The lone server up front was very busy between take-out orders and people eating in, but we got excellent service. Come for the Indian rap music videos on flat-screen TVs, and stay for the delicious food: gratis crackers with the usual spicy and sweet dips; palak paneer; tandoori chicken (spicy!); peshawari naan; and of course mango lassi. We had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Steps to enter, gender-segregated restrooms, free password-protected wifi, and limited free parking out front.

Just finishing up buffet setup naan was next out

Great buffet. Glad to find a lunch buffet still active after covid. We got here as they were sitting the dishes out at the buffet. So everything was very fresh and hot. We will be back next time in town for business. Price was good as well.

I have been on the hunt for the best Indian food restaurant since I moved to the city and today I think I finally found it . Their food is delicious , perfectly spiced , and incredibly well made . The restaurant itself is so cute on the inside and they do an amazing day time buffet . The staff is super friendly . The prices are low and the portions are high. That doesn't matter though because above all that the food is top tier . I have tried so many pakoras in my life and these are the best style . Highly highly recommend

Solid, low-cost, no-frills Indian buffet. Expect almost no service beyond being seated and the occasional waitress water glass refill. But also expect a very large and tasty meal for very little money ($13.99 for all-you-can-eat). Located in North Oakland near Pitt, definitely has a student vibe. The food is genuinely good for such a low-key establishment. All of the dishes had really nice flavor. Some of my favorites were palaak paneer, vegetable biryani with okra, cauliflower/potato curry, and crispy fried fish hunks. The samosas were crispy wIth a small kick - great for an appetizer. They only have one dessert (gulab jamun), basically fried doughnut holes soaked in syrup with some cardamom flavor. You can also get refills of milky chai tea at the buffet. I tried to take some pics of the buffet line below. It is large! More options than I could capture on my phone.

It's totally different now. Feels almost like a fast food place rather than the homey buffet I loved. /sigh and cry

It was a typical retro-vintage stop inside, and I was forewarned by the veteran waitress they were open only for the next half-hour. I reassured her I was not planning to stay long. It must've been the end of a long shift for her because she was grumbling to the busboy about the other waitress who decided to leave early. This other woman, clearly the 'Kiss Mah Grits' type, alienated me by calling me Mr. Miyagi and cackling about it to the rest of the staff. I thought I might be expected to recite lines from "The Karate Kid". Instead I ordered the $11.25 Grilled Meatloaf Melt, which came with quite a slice covered in fried onions and melted Swiss cheese barely held together by the toasted rye bread. It was on the greasy side, and the fries were dried out (Photo 10). What would Mr. Miyagi say? I had mentioned a nearby diner to a fan I met at the game the night before and he scoffed at me and told me all about DeLuca's. DeLuca's is exactly what I'm looking for in a diner! Old school place, seating was comfortable, and our waitress made us feel right at home! I went with the Steel City and that included everything! Pancakes (which our lovely waitress added complimentary bananas to), hot sausage, bacon, home fries, eggs, and Italian bread toast. Everything was cooked perfectly! Hot sausage and eggs made a perfect sandwich on that bread! My wife had a delicious omelette. Such a wonderful send off from Pittsburgh!

From the second we walked in, the atmosphere was so charming and nostalgic, right down to the unbelievably reasonable prices. It's the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel comfortable and keeps you entertained the entire time you're there. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away with coffee and water while we looked over the menu. One of the coolest parts was being able to watch the food being prepared right in front of us - the entire vibe of the room felt lively, authentic, and honestly hilarious at times. Between the conversations, the energy behind the counter, and the overall ambiance, it genuinely felt like dinner and a comedy show wrapped into one. We ordered the vegetable omelet and the pancake special, and both came out piping hot and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted homemade, fresh, and comforting in the way classic breakfast spots should. You can tell this place has character, heart, and a loyal following for a reason.
