Worth it! *** BUT PLEASE ADD A COLOR-BLIND ACCESSIBLE OPTION.***…read more Activate is definitely worth the drive! It's a great date place. One thing I will suggest is that I wish the Grid game and the pattern matching games were more colorblind accessible. For example, in level 6, green is VERY close to yellow. Red and orange are also too similar. A person with Deuteranomy cannot distinguish those colors easily. Deuteranomy is the most common form of color blindness, affecting approximately 5% of males and ~0.4% of females. There should be an option to choose "avoid green/yellow" or "color blind accessible"/"Deuteranomaly or Deuteranopia Accessible". It is very nice that there are free lockers to use!

You will get a wristband that will track your time and score. You will need to register your band before entering. Note that before you enter, you can put stuff in your lockers. Upon entering the dark room, you'll see lots of people running around. It'll seem overwhelming but luckily there are staff that wander around to help lost and confused people. You will go to a door and you can look at what the game is. The screen will show you how to play it. I wouldn't overcomplicate it - just understand the goal and then go play! You are timed so play! When you decide the game, you will scan your band to join the party and the rest of your group will need to tap in. Then once there is no one playing, the door will unlock to allow you to enter. Then you can start the game with a push of a button when you are ready. There are lots of games so I won't describe them all. However, the important thing is that you need to LISTEN to the computer announcer. It'll tell you when the game is over and then you need to exit the room within a minute since the other team will enter to start their game. It's a very rushed process but you'll get the hang of it. You can check how much time and how much points you have by tapping these other screens. And you can take group pictures too. Restrooms are inside so you don't need to leave the area.

There's about 12 slides plus a 5 & below area. They have basketball courts too w/ bouncy floor. Of course, they have concessions that were overpriced. The mats you lay on prevent going fast since the slides are covered w/ plastic runners. Nice cushions at end of slides. After an hour the kids were over it. Overall place was pretty clean & lines weren't too bad except for the royal flush & launcher slides. One & done novelty place for us.

We were exhausted by the time we left from the stairs, which made it a perfect hot weekend activity! I have two suggestions: First, the staff wasn't super helpful. The woman who checked me in paused during the process so she could get candy from a coworker and then ate it while talking to me. There were no instructions given - I wasn't sure where to find the sliding pads, I wasn't sure of any of the rules, and I would have just appreciated a little more. The workers on the slides just seemed to be standing around. I asked for instructions when I went on my first slide and I didn't get the impression the young worker wanted to answer my question, nor was he monitoring to ensure the landing area was cleared before another slider went down. People were being pretty careful, but it wasn't very crowded, and I felt it could have easily become a problem. My family of four paid $140 for 90 minutes of play time plus $6 to rent a locker, so I expected more. The building itself was a little hard to find with our GPS; I feel like the signage could be bigger.

Since it was our first time, they explained everything to us. We ended up being there for over 5 hours, while the birthday girl painted her piece in great detail. What was really nice is that the staff left us alone, so there was no pressure to hurry up and leave. Everyone agreed it was fun, and we'd all do it again. It only took a few days for our pottery to be ready to pick up. Overall a great experience.

Unlimited paint and the staff helped both of us with templates for our designs. It wasn't too crowded and we went on an early Friday Evening. It was peaceful and I feel like this is something that I can do often! I highly recommend this for kids of all ages. I love that she was able to navigate a lot of the stuff independently because it gave her extra creative freedom not having to ask for help to get paint and figure out things that she wanted to add to her pieces. Here's my piece that she helped me with. It was $10. Unlimited paint and supplies to help get it it finished. They have a 4 day turn around period, but if you call the night before the pickup date. It may be ready earlier however 4 days is the turnaround period.
