Ultra Surreal Experience !! Very fun and engaging!! This experience is VeRy beyond the regular VR set you can buy for your home! Check out their website for multiple scenarios you can play in. Highly recommend choosing DEADWOOD VALLEY to kill a lot of Zombies including zombie dogs that rush into your face. They come from everywhere ... Up, down and All the way around!! I LOVE that you can communicate with your teammate(s). Created a great bonding experience for my teenage son and I !! Learn more at https://sandboxvr.com

Always a great time at Sandbox VR! We still got our full time even though we were 5 minutes late. Recommend to get there 10-15 mins early because there is a lot they have to go over with you to prepare you for the VR activity. A little pricey, but it was worth it for us. We even got a video at the end and a little birthday celebration clip too.

Fun time whether you are a gamer or not. My son gave me a gift card and this over 50 non-gaming mom and hubby had a fun time. Dress in comfy clothes and shoes as you are moving and avoiding aliens. We did the Star Trek scenario and dealt with som Klingons. You do get a short video at the end.

This was a lot of fun! We had a group of 4 for my husband's birthday. We did Deadwood Valley, and if you like killing zombies, this is for you! Each member of your group chooses a gun, but you can't have the same gun. You can pay (not sure how much) to upgrade to a really good gun, but we didn't do that. You get wrist and ankle sensors. You also get a vest. When zombies are on your back, it vibrates. It's pretty crazy when the zombies are literally in your face biting you and then you look over at a teammate and you can see a zombie on his back! There were multiple scenes and a good story line. When you "die" your teammates have to put their hand on your shoulder to revive you. The goggles are a little blurry, if they aren't sitting just right on your face. And I'm not sure the microphones were working 100%, however, this was still a 5 star experience. They give you a "trailer" version of your experience afterwards and show how well you did compared to the others in your group. They even had a happy birthday scene at the end for my husband, which was unexpected and very cool! We will be back.

This is one of the many holodecks they have.

I don't want to review this place because I'm selfish. The reason I'm saying this is because I don't want a lot of people getting hip to this place, making it hard for me to get in when I want to because this experience is freaking awesome. I had the opportunity to experience the Sandbox VR in Las Vegas a few years ago. Since then, I've wondered why we don't have a place like that here. Well, a few years and answered prayers later, here we are. I took my son here this day, and let me be the first to say that he had a blast, figuratively and literally. If you haven't been to Sandbox VR setup and heard that it is merely a virtual reality game, then you are sadly mistaken. It's an immersive VR experience that puts you in the game for real. You feel the grabs of the zombies and wind from the helicopters that are coming to extract you and the rescue targets for the hordes of the undead. I would recommend this place for a date night, family, co-workers, and most definitely friends. I saw all of the prior mentioned groups coming into the place to play and heard the screams to go along with the amazing time they had. My son and at one point went across the street to the North Market and could hear the screams from there. The establishment is immaculate, and you are assured that all the equipment you will touch has been sterilized. The staff was accommodating and made sure that we knew what to do and that we had the best experience.

Bars in each area, and apparently food available though we didn't see anyone eating mid-afternoon on a weekend. And the cost? Nothing. Sure, they want you to have a beer and order other stuff, but they are not pushy about it. I asked at the bar how to get change for the games, and he said "just push start, they're free." We played a lot. Many nostalgic games for me, and Baby K liked Pacman and Defender. A wide variety, and there was always something open. I imagine at peak times you have to wait, but no issues, again mid-afternoon on a weekend, warm spring day. I was thirsty and bored, so got a drink. Ginger ale. No charge. I did tip, but seriously, we were there an hour and could have walked out without spending a penny. We'll definitely be back.

They have wall-to-wall arcade games, that are completely free-play, and a handful of other activities (big "beer" pong, a ring toss game, a giant LightBrite...) to keep the fun going and going and going... We checked this place out with kids in the afternoon and then returned as just adults that night. To be honest, it can get crowded and therefore was more fun without the kids (b/c the drinks started flowing...) but either way everyone will have a great time. This is a tough review for me because clearly this is a locally owned small business who cares…read moreabout the quality of their guests experiences. I did not have a good experience but I'm confident that these issues can and will be resolved. So with optimism, I share this review. I was looking for a unique daddy date for my 3rd child who thanks to Covid(sucks) has missed out on two birthday parties(20% of his birthdays). I saw a Groupon that allowed you to play for several hours for cheap. My son(10) called to verify what games were available and was told "we have all of the major titles". That's also when I realized that kids don't make phone calls. It was like learning to drive for him. I digress. When we arrived there was a special even better than the Groupon so I bought 30 hours or so for future visits. The staff was kind and at our request gave a tour. The problem began when we tried to play. There were fewer titles than we expected and we couldn't get logged in. Technical problems are to be expected but after 20 minutes, the staff member said "it's been doing this all day"....Oof. You knew about the issue when I called earlier... Additionally, and this makes sense, we needed logins for the games themselves. Which we don't have. 45 minutes in we had played a couple of rounds of a first person shooter that we were wildly outmatched in. And it was the only game we could get logged in to. My son was a trooper. Each time it became evident the game he wanted wasn't working he would say "let's try this one dad" and unfortunately, no go. Eventually I had to pull the plug and scramble to find something else. Full refund and bailed. That one experience was brutal. But I just don't think that it's conducive of the typical experience. If you are an avid gamer in the genres they have, with your logins, on a good server day. You will have a 4-5 star day I'll bet my bottom dollar. Alas, not us. Alas, not us.

We ordered pretzels and nachos for apps. They have a happy hour that goes from 5-7p so we took advantage of that. They run a lot of game and food combos which is what the family chose to do. My half rack of ribs were fantastic. I would compare it to upscale bar food. Our server seemed relatively new. She had a hard time with the IPad and taking our orders. My wife tried ordering an Aperol Spritz which was on the menu but had some ingredients to asked not to be part of the drink, and she brought out a glass of just Aperol. The manager stopped by our table and we walked away with a free appetizer and a complimentary 100 chips, which was very kind. All in all, I don't have any complaints. The games were all fun. There were a lot of interactive and multiplayer games which was a lot of fun for the family.
