The place looks a little worn down but honestly you pay a whole $3 per kid for unlimited play time. I think we can deal. I would definitely recommend this place to kill a rainy day or long winter. I will say this place probably would be boring for kids that are 10+ unless you're visiting the putt-putt area which is decent sized. The employees seemed like typical high school or college kids so don't expect crazy high quality service but makes for entertainment for the parents. I encountered a girl "patrolling" the play area and she seemed frightened of all the kids . Made me giggle a little.

My only complaint was there were 3 states closed at opening and as the day went on a few more closed. I don't know the reason but if 50 states were supposed to participate, all 50 states should have had the food and staff ready to serve. Some standouts were the Idaho Steak fingerlings and the Connecticut Lobster Mac and Cheese. The majority of the servers were pleasant but the beer servers weren't exactly people friendly.

COSI too far? Too expensive? Just need a safe place for your kiddo to play indoors and stretch…read moretheir legs and imaginations? This is for you! This place is essentially like the kids space at COSI. Different areas for them to play and get creative. Dress up, read, sing on the little stage, climb on the construction equipment, pretend to grocery shop, play on the splash table and build a pipe line for the water to travel through, and much more. My sister and I took our little ones here on a rainy day, and they definitely enjoyed themselves. We (unfortunately) went on a day when a HUGE daycare or playgroup was also visiting, so about 15 mins after arriving, this swarm of over 50 adults and kids came in and it just got insane. I overheard another mom say that she's never seen so many people in there, so it reassured me that it's not always like this. This place isn't super fancy, and I did wonder about their sanitation procedures because I didn't see any buckets or bins for toys to go in if a kid had put it in their mouth. My LO being under a year, and my nephew being 18 months, you know everything goes in the mouth. They had a little "plop zone" which is the sacred safe space for babies under 2 to not get trampled. My daughter liked it, and liked chewing every toy, which takes me back to the germs... Butbi tried to let it go. The one thing I truly disliked about this place is that you have to pay to get in, even as an adult. $8 for me to supervise my own kid? Okay... Luckily my daughter was free because she was under 1, but I thought it was kind of ridiculous that adults have to pay for their child and themselves. It would make me think twice about coming here regularly once she's over 12 months because I don't think $16 is worth it. As of right now, all she can do is sit in the little baby plop zone. So if you really need something to do on a rainy day, definitely come here. It's safe and the kids for sure have fun. But if it's not a rainy day or you have a lot of kiddos, weigh out all your options, lol.

In addition the galleries and restaurants, there were a ton of pop-up tents, amazing stiltwalkers walking around, food trucks and stands, and more! Parking is available in a lot, and there is also nearby street parking. Despite the numerous places we popped in, including 400 Square (the galleries of 400 West Rich and Chromedge Studios), Wild Goose Creative, ROY G BIV Gallery, the Slingshot, and wandering amongst the numerous tents, there is still more we need to go back and check out - not to mention the new art that is always being created! Artists and gallery owners were friendly and welcoming, and the sheer variety of art was stunning - painting, costumes, interactive, jewelry, pottery, photographs, soap bombs, comics, and more! The whole area was buzzing with energy. This is really neat and well worth a visit.

If you're new to this burgeoning neighborhood, the perfect opportunity to have a buffet of experiences is Franklin Fridays -- the second Friday of each month. You'll get to sample a little bit of everything, and then figure out where you want to spend more time. My biggest suggestion is to use franklintonfridays.com to plan your trip; the website is super helpful and comprehensive. From a personal perspective, I think the best way to experience it is to start to Idea Foundry, followed by a tour of 400 West Rich, then stop at a few galleries, and concluded with drinks at either Strongwater, Land Grant, or Rehab. I love how truly art and science-focused Franklinton is. I guarantee you'll see something weird and beautiful, and you'll see things from a different perspective, both literally and figuratively. One last word of advice: If gritty adventures aren't really your thing, maybe sit this one out. For the rest of y'all, see you at the next Franklinton Fridays for one of the coolest things happening in Columbus.

I came here on a first date recently and thought it was such a wonderful idea for doing just that…read more I love arcades and games in general, I'm super competitive! That said, it missed the mark a little. For starters, the A/C wasn't working in most of the space. The main bar area was cool-ish, but the rest of the place was so ungodly hot that I couldn't stand being inside. When the sun finally went down we kept going to the back patio to cool off in between games. And that leads me to the games... there were several that were "out of order" that we were so excited to play. Some of the video games on the wall with consoles weren't working well and shorting out. Some games had buttons that stuck and caused us not to be able to fully play the game. The basketball game wasn't keeping score. There were too many instances like this for me to count. It was a bummer. On the flip side, the drinks were affordable and they have a Borgata Pizza in the back. I didn't grab a slice, but my date did and he said it was good. The staff was also super friendly. There's several other arcades in Columbus that I would go back to before heading here again. I think with some basic upkeep this spot would be an all around winner.

For my 1100th review, I am going to write about my amazing experience at Level One Bar+ Arcade!…read more I promised my brother a surprise during our trip to Columbus, OH if he passed his insurance agents license. He passed, so I took him to Level One Bar+ Arcade. I did it to have some brother bonding time. Its been years since either one of us had stepped into an arcade and really spent hours playing in one. Some of our fondest memories together occurred while playing video games and in video arcades. Thus, it was wonderful to relive those moments together and create new memories at another video arcade. Really cool place, ambience definitely is a cool classical arcade that just happens to have a bar inside. Tons of games here! You can find all the classics, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, etc. Talk about memories... i remember playing Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat at arcades when I was in grade school. I got go relive memories when I played X-Men the Arcade Game, a game I beat at an arcade when I was in middle school. The only disappointment was with Rampage. I jumped for joy when I saw it! I loved playing as either George, Ralph, or Lizzie as gigantic monsters devouring the worlds population and destroying cities when i was younger! Alas! It was not operable! My years away from playing video games showed my rusty skills. I used to be a beast in games, i did alright but man have my skills deteriorated since college. Again, we played for hours, and had a great time together. We did not spend a lot of money, all non-pinball games are free. We also did play some pinball games like The Walking Dead, and You Only Live Twice. Level One Bar+ Arcade made our last night in Columbus, a wonderful night. I definitely recommend coming here!
