We recently decided to paint the exterior of our house (five bedroom two-story built in 1952)…read more After interviewing several companies, we decided to go with CertaPro Painters. After looking at our house, they recommended having the prep work done by Mark Freitas. Mark came out to take a look at what needed to be done before we could paint. It turned out five sides of the house had extensive dry rot, so much of the board and bat would need to be replaced. Also, Mark found two sides of the house had termites. Mark's crew showed up early every morning, replaced the bad siding, and had a termite company fumigate without tenting. We had a family reunion planned, and needed the job to be finished by a certain date. They finished it on time, and even worked on a weekend day to meet the deadline. Also, they were great at cleaning up. I highly recommended Mark and his crew for any construction you have planned.

I was referred to Mark Freitas Construction (a general contractor) by CertaPro Painters. Mark and his men removed the popcorn and taped and textured the ceiling over a weekend. Before completely covering the walls and floor below the ceilings with plastic, Mark's team also removed some of my heavy furniture. Scaffolding was brought in and set up in the living room. The workers, including Mark, were at my house as scheduled each day. Once the work was completed, they took special attention to clean up in preparation for the painters. After several negative experiences with contractor remodels over the years, I can say that working with Mark was a great experience. Mark' s goal is to please the customer, and he and his crew do whatever it takes to do so. I will definitely hire him again.

I am a Real Estate agent and I first met Ibo about 8-9 years ago as I was recommended by others in…read morethe RE Brokerage Industry to call him about my specific needs related to Commercial Kitchen remodeling. Unfortunately, my client took all of the information Ibo shared with how to do what was needed and had a family member do the work. So, we didn't use him at that time due to circumstances outside of my control. Then again, about 5 months ago I had another Commercial Kitchen building owner I was helping deal with a very dated and unre-certifiable kitchen space a COVID bankrupted tenant moved out of and left us a bit of a mess. After calling around, I was reintroduced to Ibo at that time. He was again, extremely knowledgeable and cost effective in the improvements he suggested, and came in on time and on budget. Best of all, we found a wonderful new tenant that signed a lease and got approval from the Santa Clara County Health Department on the FIRST INSPECTION! I was very nervous about the inspection for reasons I won't go into, but Ibo knows what the rules are, and how to get it done in the most cost effective way...and held my hand through the process after he was done with the work. I will definitely recommend Ibo to others for all types of construction work. You can have confidence that he will deliver what he says...and stand behind it as well.

After that experience I would say 'Stay away from this joker.'

But most of all, the speed of completion was just hard to beat! We had quite a short turnaround time because our move in date was fixed. The entire team came every day including Saturdays (not even late or skipping a day), working non-stop 8-5 sometimes worked until late evenings! They were able to keep the initial completion date which was just within one month! Even with the speedy work, the quality of work was not compromised and when we needed follow up jobs or adjustments, they never dismissed it and followed it through even after we moved in. We talked to many contractors/builders but they were the most reliable, responsive and very well functioning team!
