A representative came to my home to discuss Sunbelt Home Solutions and offered a free evaluation of…read morethe company's CoolWall Coating product. I agreed to a property walk-through. Shortly afterward, another representative arrived on time with a trainee and delivered a polished but high-pressure sales presentation. After showing me, cracks and mold identified during the inspection and explaining the available services, he asked me to purchase the product and installation services, and I agreed. My concerns arose from the communication and follow-through problems that followed. I told the salesperson that I would be out of the country for about one month and asked that work not begin until I returned. Before leaving, I received at least three notices that Sunbelt Home Solutions was ready to begin work. Each time, I explained that I was leaving the country and would contact the company upon my return. While away, I received another proposed start date for the following Monday and again stated that I was unavailable. The repeated notices indicated a breakdown in communication. After returning to the United States, I contacted the company and scheduled the project. The crew arrived promptly, pressure-washed the house, prepared it for painting, and applied the primer and CoolWall Coating. The crew did not have enough coating to finish the house and had to order additional material. When they left that Friday, my front door was unusable because the doorknobs and weather stripping had been removed. Although the work remained incomplete, the job supervisor asked me to sign paperwork stating that the project was complete. After receiving no update for a week, I contacted the company. The supervisor said he would collect the additional coating and return the next day. The crew returned Friday and completed the coating application. During the walk-through, I identified missed areas and asked when the displaced soil would be returned to the trench. The supervisor promised to return Saturday to finish the front door, complete touch-ups, and refill the trench, but did not arrive. He then said he would come on Sunday and, after missing that date, Monday morning. By 10:30 a.m. Monday, I had received no update and again contacted the office. These repeated missed commitments required me to initiate each follow-up. Based on my experience, the company's high-pressure sales approach was not matched by consistent communication or follow-through. Despite clear scheduling instructions, I received repeated start notices while unavailable. The project began without enough material, I was asked to approve completion while the front door was unusable and work remained outstanding, and several promised return dates were missed. This pattern undermined my confidence in Sunbelt Home Solutions, and I would not recommend the company. It is too early to determine whether the CoolWall Coating will provide the promised energy savings or lifetime durability.

"Excellent" is hardly enough to describe how our entire window and door replacement process went!…read more It began with a visit from Rob, the highly knowledgeable sales rep. He gave a thorough and comprehensive explanation of every aspect of the window, sliding door, and front door replacement. Our first estimate did not include replacement of three trapezoidal windows and one rectangular window above the front door. Once we realized that these existing windows were not impact-resistant, I requested that they be added to the job. Rob came and did extensive measurements, then he returned again with an even more experienced expert to confirm everything. The preliminary work must have been spot on, because these trouble-windows went in with little difficulty. Except for the large section of termite-damaged wood that the installer uncovered and, of course, completely removed and replaced. Given the special geometric and installation requirements, the finished product is incredible. The installation crew was technically expert. In addition, each one had a real concern for the extensive interior memorabilia throughout the home that we were unable to relocate before the work. Everything was covered and protected from both dust and inadvertent contact. This gave us the confidence not to worry about damage, and of course there was none. The final process involved filling holes in the stucco made by the removal of ancient sliding shutters, installing new trim around the three trapezoidal windows, and touch-up painting, including the new front door. Once again, extreme care was given to protecting the inside of the house near the door and the exterior screened entrance. The work was neat and thorough, and the final cleanup was total and complete I can't recommend Armored Dade highly enough. In my relatively brief stay in Florida, I of course have not avoided the countless TV commercials for window replacement: 0% off; buy 1 get 1; get 4; etc. Rob made no mention of any "deals" at his initial visit because with a top-quality product installed by a top-quality firm, there is no need for gimmicks.
