It's on the second floor of the building and houses numerous play structures and stations. For example, a train table, slides, a pretend stage with instruments, art station, massive sandbox etc. everything is clean and safe for kids including babies and toddlers. Everything is contained so they can't escape without being seen. All the kids were kept entertained for hours. For the parents, there is a comfortable sitting area including work stations if you want to bring a computer. The cafe appeals to parents and kids alike. They have all the favourite kid snacks and hot and cold drinks for adults. I had the butterfly pea lemonade and it was refreshing. It is on the pricier side and both adults and kids (aged 1 and up) have an entry fee. However, the quality of the activities does justify the price. Staff are professional. Instructions are clear. Kids are entertained. Definitely an appreciated place within our community!

The Play 'n Stay Daycare has been a wonderful and nurturing environment for our daughter, who's…read morebeen there for 10 months. We're grateful for the care Gloria has given. Our daughter is excited to go there in the morning and, in the evening, she's had a full and adventurous day. Gloria's great about teaching about sharing and has even started potty training (our daughter is 18 months). The space is completely child oriented, full of stimulating toys and has a cozy sleeping area and kitchen down stairs. My understanding is that it has has been regularly inspected by the ministry and is up to code and that the primary reason why it is not licensed is there is no outdoor play area, which is simply not possible in their current location. However almost every day Gloria takes the kids to various parks, the library, and drop in centers in the neighborhood and regularly takes further excursions including the Riverdale Farm, science center, and strawberry picking. On these outings, Gloria's often meets up with the other Play 'n Stay located near Broadview and Gerrard, which is also owned by Gloria and Sultan and run by Gina. Since we've been there, Gloria has had 5 kids ranging from 9 months to 3 years. This has been a good age-mix for our daughter as it's like a big family where the bigger kids stimulate and interact with the younger ones. Gloria regularly does circle time with singing, activities, and art. She gives them nutritious hot breakfast and lunch and plenty of snacks with fruits and veggies. In the evenings she gives us an update on the naps, bowel movements, and eating and generally how they has gone. When we're concerned about our daughter--if she's feeling under the weather or otherwise--we can text and get prompt responses through out the day. We feel close with the families of the Play 'n Stay, and we feel fortunate to be part of this tight community. We regularly meet them at the parks and farmers markets in the evenings or on the weekends and we communicate over email about important issues relating to raising our kids. It's hard to describe how reassuring it is to know how much love and care Gloria has for our our daughter and the rest of the kids at Play 'n Stay. She and Sultan work incredibly hard to provide a truly wonderful environment and big extended family for our daughter.

Gloria has been an attentive and loving care provider - she is lime a second mother to him and he absolutely loves his time there (I know this because he asks to go on weekends if we pass by). The 20+ years experience really show. Her play based activities encourage the kids to interact with each other while being given lots of learning and cognitive development time too. They mix in lots of arts and crafts, circle time, outdoor activities and even field trips that are done in conjunction with a local Parent Resources drop in centre (Riverdale Farm, strawberry picking, Centre Island, etc). Weather permitting the kids are out every day. The food is nutritious and adventurous too. It is without question that I would recommend Play 'n Stay to any prospective parents looking for quality home-based care. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-6:00, closed holidays and last two weeks of August and December.

My friend and I did the regular acrylic paint pour on the small 8x 10" canvas ($18 for canvas, $20 for wood). We had little cups to mix the different paint colours in, and experimented with the flow and drips. Inspirational to want to try to do this at home. My only comment is that they don't have a large selection of paints. Some are either empty (or soon to be), and are the brands you can get at the dollarstore. But great space to hang out with friends or have a birthday party. They have baked goods and beverages for purchase as well.
