**note they have since rebranded to brassbelles**…read more When you first drive to the studio, if coming from Erin mills, it is in the 2nd enterance of the parking lot (from Derry, it's the first). Be careful, at night it's hard to see the difference and I always end up on the wrong side because they're right next to you and separated by a small median. When you drive in, there is limited parking for unit 12 but since classes are after working hours it should be fine. I like that it's discreet so you don't worry about people watching in the studio. When you enter there's a large lobby type area where you can hang out jacket and out your boots. Before you get into the studio there's also bathrooms as well as a hang out area which I like because if you are taking multiple classes or need to eat dinner there's a microwave and water so you can refill your bottle. The studio is HUGE. For anyone interested in other forms of aerial like hoop or silks, they have it all here, even kick boxing. I really like how the classes make you feel empowered and there other patrons are also very supportive. The owner is super nice and there is a variety of classes you can take so I highly recommend.

I came here to try pole silks for the first time. I've taken a few pole and aerial silks classes before, so I loved the idea of combining two things that I at least have some familiarity with. Plus, it's unique to this Aradia Fitness location in Canada :D :D The owner and teacher of the beginner pole silks class, Cassandra, is really great. She's super friendly and welcoming. As an instructor, she's very patient and experienced with teaching beginners, which is very comforting to students new to this art. Neither she nor the other students put any pressure on you to do more than you are comfortable with. Everyone - at one point - started at the beginning, so it's better to go at your own pace rather than rushing things to try to look like everyone else. The studio is clean and well-kept. in the classroom, the poles seemed a bit close-ish together sometimes (evident when I accidentally bumped a few people with leg swings), but the ceiling is high and open and there are large mirrors on both sides of the room that make it easier to see how you're doing and check your form from different angles (would be awesome if more studios did the dual-mirror thing!). Another thing I liked is that for the classes I've been to so far, everyone had their own pole - so it's nice not to have to share. Overall, this was a great place with an easy to get to location and plenty of parking (I think there's also a bus that goes by via Mississauga Transit). In the week I've been going, I've already gone to all 3 of the class times offered, and I look forward to trying out this art again when I return to San Francisco.

While the class was very cheap, and the instructors friendly, I actually found the classes quite confusing and intimidating. They were trying to teach 40-50 people at the same time and had multiple instructors and assistants at the same time. While I understand the need for assistants in such a large class, it becomes quite confusing when you are trying to listen to the main instructor and you have someone else telling you something in the other ear. Also, with respect to the venue, it is a fairly large place, but it also serves as a martial art studio and didn't have the same feel as other dance studios. Also, with respect to their outdoor parties at Streetsville Square, those were fun and they were all very accommodating. Verdict: I think this place is ok, but just wasn't a fan of the large classes and the venue, but if you are one that likes "exercise-style group classes", this could be for you. If you prefer smaller classes, I wouldn't recommend.

This dance studio is super awesome!! It's in the heart of Streetsville. A bit difficult to find…read morebecause it's under the street level shops and once inside you will notice it's quite small too. However, don't let the size fool you. This place is just right for all the dancers. I started taking an intro level salsa dance class. There are several experienced dance instructors present during the class to help you with the steps and to help follow along. The class moves at a fast pace but it's a lot of fun. You just have to relax but pay attention to the instructors so you pick up all the dance moves and don't miss a beat. I love to dance Salsa, and if you do too or you're willing to give it a try, this is the place!! Come have some fun!

Meadowlarke! HORSE…read moreCARE The horses are well cared for and lived by volunteers and staff alike. The stalls are good sizes for the horses and appropriate tack and grooming supplies are provided accordingly. STAFF/VOLUNTEERS I am in love with the care and bonds the volunteers and staff with the horses! Meadowlarke does an amazing job hiring professionals for the safety of the rider and the horse. Tack is always put away properly and cleaned well and the lesson instructors are very responsible and provide a welcoming and safe environment for students and horses ARENAS The arenas are well kept, but leaks could be fixed in both larger and smaller arenas. I like that with the better weather riders ride outside and parents are welcome to watch every lesson, and the sizing and lighting is appropriate MISCELLANEOUS Meadowlarke has a heated back lounge with the list for horses and riders and in better weather a beautiful pasture and outdoor arenas. I also really admire all horses are rescues and are retired to meadowlarke north after a beautiful life. Meadowlarke also does a wonderful job of subjecting all ages to the horror of awful organizations like Canada Goose and help the people of the future realize animals deserve better lives. Going back to the staff and volunteers they have a beautiful sense of humour and are strict and firm with the horses need be. CAMPS I love Meadowlarke's camps! They push kids out of their comfort zone promoting them to be better riders and have a wide curriculum from horse sense and riding to PETA and other animal protection foundations. They divide campers into groups based on skill level but one thing I think should be changed asking parental consent to give the campers milk and checking for but allergies as the milk is almond and campers must guess what kind. Overall I think meadowlarke is a 10/10 establishment 5 stars!

I went to Meadowlarke Stables for an assessment lesson and wasn't too thrilled with my experience…read more The Positives: First, I have to say the employees and staff were very warm, welcoming and sweet. I also admire the fact that the owners rescue horses who were being abused or going to be put down. I think that is very admirable. I also have to say, their prices are the best in the city. They are much cheaper than other stables. The Negatives: I didn't like how small the horses stalls were. When you went to tack up the horses, you literally had to push the horse so you could groom them on each side as they were too narrow for both you and the horse. The stable is also pretty far from where I live and they didn't have any classes available at a convenient time for me at my riding level. I would say this is a good stable if you live in Mississauga. If you are closer to Toronto or live in Northern Toronto, I would recommend others.
