I just bought an apartment and I am looking to put either thin / floating pavers or some sort of composite decking on my terrace - it is approximately 170 sq ft. The base is metal and has a slight slope for drainage. is this something you do?

Yes we do. Please email us at info@alldeckedoutnyc.com.

If you decide to go with someone else or not do the work then you get hit with the fee. I'm OK with that. But that's not how this company operates. I had a leak. Adam showed up. I showed him the leak. He dug it up and fixed it and charged me. Perfectly fine. And then they charged the $110 on top of that. They refuse to waive it. IF you're OK with this policy, then you will probably like them. IF like me, you think this is not customer friendly, then be aware and you may want to consider one of the many alternatives. I was a repeat customer for them with winterizations, spring start up, etc. Because of their policy, they lost my business. Edited in response to owner's comments as she is leaving out critical information. Donna R says she listened to the call but she is leaving out that she also heard me comment about the fee and express dissatisfaction with it. She also heard me say that the leak was in the same place where last year they replaced a valve component. I expressed on the call that I thought it would be a warranty repair. THAT is the only reason I agreed to have them come out. As it turns out it was not related to the valve and thus I was responsible for the repair. Which was fair and have no problem paying. And regardless of whether or not I was told up front, it is not a customer friendly policy. One that I would not have accepted if not for the possibility of warranty coverage. And one that i will not accept moving forward. And no, Donna R., I'm not calling the office to discuss. I don't need to hear you explain the policy again. It is what it is. Charge your customers all you want. If they don't care, good for you. I care.

I can not speak to their quality of work, because unfortunately we never got to that point. But I can speak to major issues in communication, lack of professionalism, and disrespect of the client's time. I reached out to them in Sept 2025, discussed the project in detail over the phone, and sent them comprehensive photos of the terrace. In February 2026, they visited the site, all went well, and then 10 days later, Ben emails me that they are pulling of the project! Their excuse--the project was not a good fit and required too much construction, since we wanted to replace an outdoor shed. The shed was discussed since day one, with no concerns expressed. And had they mentioned any concerns, we could have simply excluded it from the project and replaced it ourselves with something available through retail. The level of disregard and unprofessionalism was shocking. They basically dragged us for 5 months, when they could have let us know from the beginning that they were not a good fit. At the very least, they could have delivered on the initial phase of design, the service we had already paid for, so at least our time was not a complete waste. Instead, we have to start from scratch now five months later, and we will not be able to enjoy our outdoor space this spring, as was the whole plan initially. I regret trusting this company, and would not recommend it to anyone. In response to your reply below-- You knew about the shed since September 2025. You had photos of the shed since September 4, 2025. You never expressed concern about removing the existing structure, had you done that, we would have told you that our contractor can take care of that. The earliest on-site visit you gave us was after Thanksgiving, around mid December. And you know that we had to reschedule then because of a family emergency that required us to fly out to be by a close family member's hospital bed. The fact that you brought that up as a point speaks volumes to a certain lack of professionalism and client disregard. You are not trying to be accurate, you are trying to wash your hands off of any responsibility and throw it in our lap, even after all the inconvenience you have caused us. The fact is, even in your own words, you had committed to providing us with a design plan, since we had already purchased that service from you without any conditions attached, and you unexpectedly backed out of that, as well as of the whole project, months later, due to no fault of ours.

Great experience! Highly recommended!…read more I came to Yelp to get quotes for the Springtime turning on of my sprinkler system. Ted from Xtreme was one of the respondents. He quoted me a reasonable price and could accommodate me soon. Sam came to do the job. We put new batteries in the timer. But it didn't seem to be working properly. Sam said that not only was it not working properly, but that it wasn't an outdoor clock. Said we should replace it. Of course I was stressed at something not working and really stressed at the thought of what it would cost to replace. Sam looked at a price list from his supplier and said that a clock for 2 zones was only $125. Ok, not terrible. But how many hundreds and hundreds was the installation going to cost? He said "I came to get your system going for the season. I have to do whatever it takes to do that. There's no extra fee for that." I thought that I couldn't passably be hearing correctly. No extra cost? He and his assistant went and got the new timer and came back. But he said he wanted to mount it inside rather than where the old one was, outside my house. He didn't have a drill long enough to go through the wall to run the wire from the sprinkler system to the timer. So, came back after the weekend and did it. I did have to pay for the new timer and another small part that had burned out. But as far as labor, not a penny more than the original price to turn on the system! That is unheard-of these days! I'm so happy to have a new, reliable service and happy to recommend them.

Since I have them, they only show up to turn the sprinklers on and off. I've had "only" them and my lawn has constantly died due to poor sprinkler types and lack of water getting to certain areas. Sprinkler care and lawn treatment seem to be horrible in Bergen County. You have to receiving a communication from this company is nice to know that they monitor these posts however when you turn a sprinkler system on it is customary to check the sprinklers for proper condition and if if they are doing the proper job not just turn it on and walk away from it. I would not have lost my lawn this year if my sprinkler company had my best interest at heart and checked each sprinkler head and the placement and the coverage they were supplying not just turn the sprinkler on. This past time when I requested that they come out they had to replace several heads and adjust locations that the sprinklers were supplying water to. That tells me that when they came out a few months ago they did just what the woman said was turn the system on and walk away and didn't check anything and for over $100 that's not good service I would hope that they change the way they service my property. It seems that they are very comfortable with a DISGRACEFUL three star rating rather than trying to earn more stars and be more considerate of the customer. Now I look and the three replaced heads are refurbished and not new new heads that I paid over three hundred dollars for. These pictures represent the failure of what I paid for and did not get. My neighbor has "no" sprinklers and his lawn is near perfect. Unfortunately the company is run from the office and no one monitors the worker's performance. The Proof Is in the finished product!

Johnny and his team just finished our backyard this morning and I can't say enough good things!…read more For starters, I reached out to them and found them to be responsive and available quickly. The initial consultation was thorough, and they prepared the quote quickly. The quote was detailed, it was easy to discuss/implement any changes - it felt like a truly cooperative process to come to a plan that we liked, was practical for our lifestyle, and within our budget. We were really looking for a company that could come in and take care of everything without the need to subcontract anything out, or organize additional vendors on our own and they fit that bill. They installed turf, removed 2 old rotting tree stumps, cleared out and replanted 2 areas of the garden, replaced a broken/rotting fence and set of steps, carted away any junk from the yard that didn't belong, and even repaired a hole in the cement left by the previous owners. The other thing that I really appreciated was that they listened when we said we wanted to keep things very low maintenance. Plants were chosen in a way that doesn't require us to fuss over them and allows us, our kid, and our dog to actually use the space without being worried about things getting ruined. During the work they required access through an apartment and were respectful of the space (and everyone's time), and left everything clean. The job took a touch longer than anyone initially expected, but that was caused by weather delays and a few extra items that came up as they were working. Communication about any changes was prompt, the additional work that came up was explained clearly, and I found any additional charges to be more than fair. We're so excited to get to use our garden and watch it grow as the weather improves, and I look forward to having Johnny and his team return for any regular maintenance. I'll try to remember to update this review with photos in the spring once things settle in and bloom.

As someone who now spends roughly half the year in Scottsdale and returns to the city each spring, having a designer who is not only talented but also reliable from a distance was incredibly important to me. When I finally had the opportunity to work with her after gaining access to an outdoor terrace, I reached out without hesitation. Despite my seasonal schedule and being away for extended periods, Lisa was consistent, responsive, and completely dependable throughout the entire process. From the beginning, she presented a clear, thoughtful concept that felt tailored to both the architecture and how I wanted to use the space. What also stood out was her integrity, her commitment to ethical sourcing was a key factor in my decision to move forward, and she was transparent and intentional at every step. The finished result is a beautiful, organic, and private terrace that feels like a true urban retreat. It's rare to find someone who can translate a city outdoor space into something this calm, layered, and livable, but Lisa absolutely delivered through Bella Gardens. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Lisa had a medical emergency, and I genuinely understand that unexpected health issues happen. However, that does not excuse what happened to us as customers. Bella Garden took a significant amount of our money for work that was never completed. We also paid for a significant $10k+ project that although completed, was completed neglected after her medical leave, crews were not sent to properly care for our property. The result is that work we paid thousands of dollars for has deteriorated because the garden was not maintained. A business that only operates if one person is available cannot properly care for customers. Even when Lisa was not on leave, it was always difficult to schedule care and maintenance of our property, emails would go unanswered and it would take weeks to make any progress. Now, Lisa has stopped responding to requests to send maintenance and to return the money for work that we paid for that was never completed. At this point, we feel completely abandoned as customers and are out a substantial amount of money that she has essentially now stolen from us. Whatever the circumstances may be, customers should not be left paying for unfinished work with no communication or resolution. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise against hiring Bella Garden unless you want your money stolen and your garden to fall apart due to their negligence.
