Came here for a Yelp Event where Breakers was promoting the new the Long Drink beverage which is Grapefruit, Gin and Junipers with a little carbonation. I don't really care for grapefruit or gin but I found this combination extremely refreshing. I would definitely purchase it for myself. It would be one of my favorite beverages. I was very excited with this event because it was a plus1 and in Montauk so I was able to bring Mrs. M. and expose her to the Yelp World. Upon arrival our Host Nadia greeted us and explained what was entailed with this event. They also had snacks for us to go with our drinks. Breakers itself, one of the many resorts in Montauk was small but inviting. There was a pool by the bar with seating and a small restaurant upstairs with an adequate menu. All the staff was polite, efficient and accommodating. The atmosphere of Breakers contributed to a very nice afternoon having the Long Drink and snacks and speaking with other gusts. A cool summer hang out if you are in Montauk, however a bit of a trek if traveling from anywhere else. The staff was absolutely the highlight. I'm sure there are numerous summer hot spots in the Hamptons that one can lay out at but here the staff was super sweet and ultra attentive. Parking can be slightly challenging because all spots are not overtly clear. Once you finally maneuver into a spot and park up the lounge-ability, drink-ability, and vitamin D factor is totally abundant. Not a large space but comfortable with separate pool, bar and patio areas. It would be nice if it was adult only, but kiddies are allowed too. Just A Note: Lyft is now servicing the Hamptons and Breakers Montauk is only a short Lyft from the LIRR Montauk stop. read more

Hmm...so my friend and I came here for brunch, we saw that they were open and when we approached the bar, the man seemed really confused as to why we're even here (??) anyway, we asked to see the menu and he told us that they have a very limited menu for the end of the season because theyre "closed", they cant make anything with avocados or any salads, or this this and that, which left the menu with like 3 things to choose from, so we just left. Pretty rad that they have a pool, bar, and cute little set up, just disappointed with the service. read more

It's lunch only. It's called a "cafe" but they don't serve coffee? What? I'm sure the food is good, but they should not have photos of baked goods in their yelp listing, because those were not on the, menu. Neither was coffee. They did not offer to tell me about a place nearby to get coffee either, which seems strange in retrospect. read more

So while this place was convenient to me during my stay at the breakers, I feel like they need to step their game up. The food was okay, not bad but not out of this world. The prices are very fair which was a plus being that everything else in Montauk is pretty pricey. I went on two separate occasions, once upon arrival where my friend and I ordered the chicken tenders which were very yummy and filling. Second time was before checkout, just to grab a quick bite early in the morning in an attempt to hit the road and beat traffic. I ordered the morning plate which was two eggs any style, toast, breakfast potatoes and a side of bacon. I also ordered the iced coffee (horrible). The real problem with this place is the lack of staff, they have one waitress it seemed like which was not an issue when we went during the afternoon because they were slow but in the morning they were busy so there was quite a bit of a wait time before we ordered. The food itself however came out quickly after ordering. Overall the place is cute, nice decor and okay food but I don't think I would go out of my way to come back to this place, I would rather drive out a little bit into sag harbor or something and stop in at a cute bakery. read more

Really fun, cutely decorated space. Hung out by the pool and cafe all day. Wasn't too crowded, but there were a good amount of people there. Parking can be a little tricky so try not to block anyone! Though the staff here is really sweet and attentive and will try to help if they can. Loved the big floaties they had too. read more

Very cute!!! This place was walking distance from our hotel so we ate here twice, great service each time. The drinks were delicious and the food was really good and not too overpriced in comparison to other places. Plus it's very instagrammable, which you know counts for something. read more

I had to move hotels at 10:00pm because the door to the bedroom wouldn't latch shut and the wind kept blowing it wide open onto the parking lot. When I called the after hours emergency line, no one answered. I left two voicemails and didn't hear back. I had to give up and leave because it wasn't safe to sleep in a room with a swinging door. Also, a ton of cold air rushed into the room each time it opened. There was no hot water on the first night. The shower isn't a delineated space from the rest of the bathroom but the drainage system doesn't accommodate this, so after a shower the entire bathroom floor has an inch of water on it all night. I can't find a reason to stay at this place. read more

Tall slim twiggy bartender w greasy hat doesn't belong in the hospitality business. Gruff, sullen, rude and mumbles with a real sht attitude. He should be working for the town cleaning public toilets. Unless he goes, they will lose lots of repeat business. read more

Such a trendy spot to be for a weekend away. My friends and I came here this summer for a bday. Most of us traveled from California. The rooms were small but we made it work. We ate at the restaurant both mornings and really enjoyed the iced coffee and avocado toast. The staff at the front desk were friendly. We stayed during a yelp event and the yelp people were kind of snooty to us which I didn't appreciate, they were giving away desserts and wouldn't give us one because we weren't invited to their event but yet we were staying at the hotel. read more

I've been here for brunch and for a Beach Magazine party and had a great time on both occasions. The staff goes above and beyond to cater to your every need. During the party, there was always someone with a tray of delicious appetizers or tasty drinks at arms length! Such an adorable spot too - Only downside is that it's a bit pricey if you're looking to spend the night (expected though, you're staying in Montauk after all). Would highly recommend! read more

I went to Breakers for some drinks & apps with some friends last week & as soon as i arrive a tall slim bartender asks us for what we like when we haven't looked at the menu yet. So we tell him to give us a minute and says to the lady sitting at the bar well "i guess they don't want to be served" and both began to laugh. Food was great & drinks too but his service was obnoxious and racist in my opinion because we were hispanic. My friend kindly decided to take the dirty plates to the bar so he wont have to struggle and she asked him where she can leave the plates so he said " well the dishwasher is back there nodding over to the kitchen area" and immediately begins to laugh out loud with other people who were at the bar. Such a bad joke! Need to be careful with who you joke because not everyone has your sense of humor. Maybe think about who should be behind the bar. Great place - in my opinion shouldn't be categorized as a motel! It's perfect for a little getaway and the rooms are very modern and kept clean. It's also right by the water. The hotel staff is very nice and relaxed, and the hotel gives you bikes and a very nice car (mini cooper s) to ride/drive around if you don't have your own. Very impressed and would definitely come back. read more
