The prices from each were all within a similar range. I tend to avoid the least expensive and steer clear of the most unless I have the budget for it. Ray came in with a fair price and a professional demeanor. He understood what had to be done, and he was confident he could provide exactly what I envisioned. I was impressed that he also was able to get the job started quickly and did his best to accommodate my timeline. As a contractor, he has several sub contractors who work for him. In his desire to get my job going ASAP, he sent two subs that were not his best. He had used them before and they had done very nice work. Unfortunately for me, they did not, and they had to demo the tiles they had put in unevenly, scrap them and start from scratch. Since Ray was just as surprised and appalled by their work, in a gesture of courtesy, he absorbed the cost of the new tiles and added a free, custom built shower niche to make up for the mishap. He was diplomatic and reliable which is rare in Florida. He also asked for my patience so as to time it to bring in his BEST contractor, Andreas, who is a literal magician! Not only is Andreas so amazingly talented, but can do literally ANYTHING quickly, confidently and flawlessly. The final product is perfection! Ray even came with me to pick out the tiles that he paid for and Andreas is top tier, both taking pride in their work, which is ALWAYS of primary importance since I believe it's pride and passion for what you do, that eternally creates the most spectacular of things. So, ultimately, though it took a little extra time, it was well worth it. Ray stepped up and made it right, I have to say he is dependable, communicative and made me a very happy customer! My one bit of advice would be to work on HIS timeline so he has the opportunity to bring in his best guys to your job. They were very accommodating with creating invoices that my HOA would greenlight, and met the requirements for soundproofing my second floor unit. The technicians kept updated on all processes from consultant to appointment. The owner met with me the day before to aussage my concerns about what I needed to move or not move , to accommodate the process . They checked in with me via text throughout each day and sent video at the end of each session to communicate on the progress! They finished my 2BR condo in less than 3 days! At around 5:30 pm same day he texted again, saying he would do the job for $500 without seeing the job personally, because he had enough information from the initial pictures I provided. However ,the next day he asked me to compose a video with detailed spoken instruction of what I wanted done. More time wasted and extremely aggravating because I then had to edit the video for over an hour just to be able to send it via text message because apparently the video was too long to be able to send. After all this he retracted his $500 estimate He instructed me to go ahead and do it with someone else. It should be noted that Brian was polite and well spoken but regrettably this interaction wasted my time and fell far short of my expectations.
