After reading most of the 400+ reviews of this company I knew that Champion Concrete would be the only company I would let re-design my driveway. Any company can do a driveway but Jamie Basilio (owner) and Champion Concrete do more that. He actually engages into the design process that you desire and because of his experience will take it to another level which leaves you in awe. His compassion for excellence and service to his clients far exceeds all the others. His honesty and unmatched professionalism is refreshing in a time in where such qualities are rare in a contractor. I reached out to Jamie a couple of months back for an estimate and waited a while for it with the understanding that there must a high demand for this company. Meanwhile I took on other major projects in the house like a remodeling a kitchen, bath, electrical, painting etc. I was determined that no other company would touch my driveway because it has to be perfect. Well one day Jamie called and the plans began. Elated! Initially I told Jamie " I WANT A DRIVEWAY THAT WILL OFFEND MY NEIGHBORS BUT ALSO INSPIRE THEM". We laughed and Jamie understood the level of curb appeal that I was looking for. He was committed to the project from the design, the protracted permitting process(City dragging their feet), onto the completion. From beginning to end. I was looking for a contractor to replace my driveway/walkway with concrete pads and river pebbles. I'm very careful about hiring people to work on my home because of bad experiences with contractors in the past. I met with a few contractors prior to Champion Concrete, however, after the first conversation with Jaime (owner) of Champion Concrete, I knew I had found the right guy. From the start he paid attention to all the details of my design and impressed me with how committed he was on making my vision come true. Every time I spoke to him I was convinced I had hit the contractor lottery because he was such a joy to work with. He's always available. When you call he picks up or texts you back. I would get regular updates throughout the process to let me know if there was a schedule change or problem. It's been a few months since Champion Concrete finished my driveway, walkway, front porch and patio, and virtually every time I drive in or out, or step outside, I marvel at the improvement in the appearance of my home! Jamie, the owner, and all the employees at Champion are expert at what they do. In planning, Jamie gave us advice on how to change the shape of our driveway from what we had before, to enhance the appearance. He also suggested that we use this opportunity to lay pavers for the patio and the front porch and walkway, which we hadn't considered. All of his suggestions were perfect. The result speaks for itself. We chose concrete for the driveway - it is very smooth, without cracks, and with expertly laid lines. The old driveway was not exactly level with the garage, so that there was a little bump when we entered. The driveway is now completely level with the garage, and entry into the garage is seamless. The walkway, front porch and patio are beautiful. When issues arose during the process, or we had questions, Jamie was always very responsive and accommodating to our concerns. I would use him again and again if I could, because I know that he is a hard worker with an expert eye and extensive experience and most of all because he is absolutely trustworthy. After completely renovating our new home in Miami Shores, the final touch was to remove and replace our driveway with an updated version and build ourselves a stamped concrete patio in the back yard. After speaking with several contractors, it was a no doubter choosing Champion Concrete. Other companies attempted to give me an estimate over the phone based purely off of my estimation of the size of the driveway and patio. One company offered an estimate by looking at google maps. Jamie with Champion Concrete was at my house the same day that I first called him inquiring (around 6pm after he had gotten finished at another job site and should have already been done for the day). I told him what we were looking to have done, and we agreed on a price that was fair for both of us. Jamie was there to help with questions every step of the way in terms of processing permits and getting things ready to get done. When the time came, Jamie and his crew were on time for every part of the project, always showing up when they said they would be there. They worked quickly and the final result was amazing. My girlfriend and I are extremely happy with the way that everything turned out. It was money very well spent in our eyes. I highly recommend Jaime at Champion Concrete. As we all know, Miami can be a difficult place to find contractors who do great work AND are honest and reasonably priced. My driveway was a mess and I interviewed at least five different companies. Some of the quotes I got were outrageous. I made the decision to go with Jamie after hearing from numerous other customers who were extremely satisfied with his work and I am very happy with my decision. The Champion Concrete Company installed concrete walkways on both sides of our house, connecting front and back gardens. They did a perfect job despite the obstacles. The walks had to curve around air conditioners and trees in the small space between our house and the dividing fences with our neighbors. We were worried that the result might look clumsy because of all the turns, but what they did was amazing. To create the curves they cut a thin wedge off of one side of every brick so that the blocks appeared to flow smoothly like a river, without abrupt switches. We thought of the walkways as a necessity to keep us out of the mud. We didn't expect that they might actually enhance the beauty of the garden, which they did. And when the workers were finished they cleaned up all the scraps and swept the area. It doesn't get better than this. read more

Of all the companies we had quote extensive repairs to the bricks for our 10 unit condominium, Jaime was the most professional and knowledgeable. He has a very good eye for detail and recognized areas in need of repair that were overlooked by the residents and other contractors we had bid the job. From start to finish, the project was done timely and efficiently. The debris was cleaned up and removed. Jaime (actually pronounced Jamie) is a good guy and his crews were solid, swarming like a busy beehive to complete the work promptly. We had to wait due to delays in getting building permit in Coral Gables, but that was beyond his control. Once the permit was obtained, the work was commenced immediately and proceeded diligently until it was completed. Jaime was good communicator throughout the job. Gave us contract, and when I asked for a few changes to his form contract he made them without a fuss. He responded to texts throughout the job. After the job, he communicated with me carefully, telling us what to do to get the best result with the beautiful pavers he installed. Many contractors do not pay attention to good customer service. Jaime and Champion Concrete have done amazing work at our home since shortly after we purchased it. First was creating a beautiful driveway, walkway and front porch with pavers that helped solve some water accumulation issues. Then replacing the wooden deck along the side of the house with the same style and color of paver as the front. Now coming out for a second cleaning and sealing of all the pavers within a day. If you are interested in getting this kind of work done, then Jaime and Champion Concrete will be your best decision. I have yet to meet a nicer or more wonderful contractor to work with. read more

Jamie and his crew ripped up the ugly old concrete pavers of our original pool surround and replaced them with an extended deck of beautiful travertine. They also resurfaced the swimming pool. Excellent results! When I needed a 9' x 5' extension, Jamie and his crew installed it in one day! Not only that they pressure washed the original deck as well.
