I would not recommend EZ General Contractor based on our experience…read more We scheduled a consultation with EZ General Contractor five days in advance and provided details about the project we were looking to have completed. My husband took the morning off work specifically to be home for the scheduled consultation. EZ General Contractor canceled the appointment 20 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, explaining that the project was "too small" for them to take on. We completely understand that contractors need to take on projects that make business sense for them. What is difficult to understand is why this could not have been determined during the five days between scheduling and the appointment, particularly since we provided as many project details in advance as was allowed through their automated platform. The lack of communication and professionalism was equally disappointing. Our phone conversations ended abruptly with them hanging up on us rather than with even a basic professional courtesy. We will obviously be using another contractor for this project. More importantly, based on this experience with EZ General Contractor's communication, scheduling, and professionalism, we would not consider them for future projects, including larger ones.

Sure enough they came in the morning and worked tirelessly all day and completed all four jobs, including smoothing a cement wall, changing an area of drywall, changing baseboards, painting, changed the fascia and reinstalling an outlet related to patching a hole in an exterior wall. We are completely blown away with the attention to detail and the quality of work. PLUS they cleaned up the whole mess and left the leftover supplies. We are so happy. We immediately asked them if they were available to do more smaller jobs around the house and they were nice enough to do a couple of them that same day for a very fair price. I hired them to paint several rooms and install a wallpaper accent wall. The wallpaper installation was done poorly--the pattern didn't come close to lining up, making the result look unprofessional. They acknowledged the issue and agreed to repurchase the wallpaper and redo the work, but then failed to follow through properly. They didn't purchase enough materials and left the job unfinished. Communication was just as frustrating. Partway through the project, Diego stopped responding entirely. I spent months calling and texting to try to resolve the situation and align on next steps. Eventually, someone claiming to be his assistant contacted me via WhatsApp to say he would not be calling me back. The price quoted included the roof, sidewalk and walkway up to our house. They even cleaned our front door! We set up a day for them to come out which happened to coincide with a neighbor down the street who was also getting pressure cleaning done by them. All we had to do to prepare was to clear off our patio and porch. They took care of covering any plants near the roof line. We were concerned about a gardenia tree that we tried to cover ourselves but didn't have enough covering so we asked that they make sure that tree was protected. They did a great job with the landscaping... there were no casualties. The roof, sidewalk, walkway and our front door were very clean! Our front door looked like it had a fresh coat of paint! The nice thing is that you don't have to prepay them. We waited until we got home from work to make sure that we were happy with the work that was done. They accept Cash, Check, Zelle, Cash App & Venmo. They also accept Credit Cards but they charge a transaction fee. We will definitely be using them again!
