Be careful!! Stay away from this horrible company. I hired them two years ago to put gutter guards…read moreon my gutters. I loved the technician named Eddie. Very nice and easy to talk to. I was told how the gutter guard would get slid under the shingles and then attach to the gutters (as it should). I sign off on the estimate. And then they come to do the job. From the ground level it looked like everything was going well. I later walk upstairs to a bedroom and look out the window to find that he was installing the gutter guards OVER the shingles and drilling screws INTO my shingles!!! He was creating holes in my shingles which becomes a new source of water breaching which is the exact opposite purpose of having a roof and gutter guards. I immediately run outside to question what he is doing. I was so alarmed. He had already installed almost 1/3 of the gutter guards damaging my roof. He kept insisting that this was a standard way to install the guards. I told him absolutely not. I am very familiar with gutter guards and know very well that they have to be slid under the shingles. How can you drill screws into shingles creating holes all around my roof edge?!?! He kept promising me that it would be fine and that if there were ever a problem I can call and they would come back to remedy it no charge. I emailed the main office telling them what happened and telling them what he said. They wrote back confirming that they would come back anytime in the future for free should a problem ever arise. At that point I felt I had no other recourse because he had already installed 1/3 of the guards around my roof. So he went ahead and finished. I gave them a good review online because I trusted them that this will still be okay and they will stand by any issues that arise in the future. Fast forward 2 years later, now some of the gutter guards have loosened (obviously because they were screwed in and now the screws are getting loose). Multiple gutters have gotten clogged with leaves even though that is exactly what they were supposed to prevent. I got on a ladder and discovered the reason is because he cut the gutter guard edges with gaps from roof edge to roof edge. So there are multiple entry points for the leaves and dirt to go into. All he did was cover SECTIONS of my gutters but left gaping holes in multiple areas so that they no longer serve their purpose. I have tried repeatedly to get in touch with Home Ally. I've called and left messages. No response. I've sent Thumbtack messages. No response. I've sent emails. No response. This is beyond disturbing. I had another company come to look and they said they've never seen anything so disastrous with gutter guards. And the amount of damage caused to my roof is irreversible! What was supposed to be a simple job to protect my home has turned into a nightmare now that will cost me thousands and thousands of dollars!! Stay far away from this company. They do not do quality work and clearly could care less to respond to any messages or voicemails.

As expected, two roofers never called back or had an excuse for not coming by. On the third contact to Hackensack Roofing I was very surprised they came by to assess the situation - and was very relieved they accepted the job with a fair price. They even came later the next day AFTER a rainy morning! Paying them was a satisfying "thank you" because they did a great job as small as it was. They took the time out for this and I'm very grateful for their help. Surely, I will be handing out their information to friends/family so they can possibly get more business, they deserve it. Thanks so much, Hackensack Roofing!

Mike's Gutters is a horrendous, horrendous company... plus they have the worst customer service you…read morecan imagine. And I've known this company for over 15 years. At the beginning, with the original owner (Mike), they were great. They installed new gutters on our house and even did some follow up work. But later on, they had to came back, to fix a defective part that they had installed. However, without the original company owner on site (Mike), they just replaced it with some "leaders" that turned out to be even worse (they were bent and cut up). I've texted them over 8 times (with no response), I've left 10 phone messages, and I've even called both of their business numbers over 10 times. Their answer: Nothing. They just won't respond. And we never got our "warranted repairs". I've even waited months for their return or their call back, but they've never called back, nor showed up. Now, it's like if, once they put up the gutters and get paid, they won't come back, won't respond or return your calls. They just move on to the next customers (or victims), to give them a bad experience too. In summary, keep away from Mike's Gutters. They are the worst. And like I said, I've known them for over 15 years. So run away, run away fast, and save yourself a gutter dilemma, and a financial headache.
