Nearly $600 to clean a completely empty, one-floor home is outrageous. I was expecting a deep…read morecleaning, but the price was significantly higher than other estimates I received for the same type of job. Before giving such a drastic price, I would strongly recommend asking for more detailed information about the size of the home and exactly which areas need to be cleaned. The home is completely empty, which should make the cleaning much more straightforward. I compared multiple companies and unfortunately, this quote was far too expensive compared with the others. I would encourage anyone considering this company to get multiple estimates first.

I offered coffee, water, soda, cookies - nothing stopped them from their tasks. Albania even starting singing while she was working, so they happily found an accompanying playlist while they labored on.. They worked for hours - and bagged up all the dirtied paper towels and dusters to take to the trashcans. I was there the whole time, but I truly believe that didn't make one bit of difference with these ladies. They were there to finish a job that they had been hired to do. The price was quoted prior to the hire after describing what needed to be cleaned and the size of the house. It is not an hourly rate, but based on the job being completed. Very nice, hard-working crew that I would definitely hire again - and that is my plan!

Beware of this company. We were quoted a price of approximately $1,000 for a deep cleaning. We…read morewere also informed that it could cost slightly more if it takes longer to complete the job. The implication was that it may take an extra hour. We have a standard colonial home; not a mansion. Two women came to our home and did a thorough cleaning job. We were happy with the work that was done. However, I question the amount of time it took to do the cleaning. After six hours, they had not finished the upstairs floor. Needless to say, what was estimated at about 8 hours to complete the deep cleaning was, at that point, not going to happen. The company sent a third cleaner who came to help for approximately two hours, and they told us that we had to pay for her as well. The first two ladies were here for about 10.5 hours when we asked them to leave because the cost was going way beyond what we expected. Our home has a main floor, an upstairs and a finished basement. The main floor and the upstairs were almost completed. The bathroom in the basement was cleaned, but the rest of the finished basement wasn't touched. The job was only 2/3 completed, and we were charged approximately $1500. We estimated that if we let them stay and finish, our bill would have been $2000. Who has ever paid that much for a deep clean? (Note - our house was not messy or excessively dirty when they came. We are moving, and wanted a deep clean before we put our home for sale) When we called the office, the manager simply said she understood our complaint, but there was nothing she could do about it. There was not even the courtesy of a follow up call from the owners to address our complaint. The owner of the company came to our home to give us an estimate based on a tour of our house, so she knew exactly what the cleaning entailed. The estimate was done in person - not over the phone, which should have eliminated any misunderstanding of what the job involved. I became a little suspicious when she asked for a credit card for a $200 down payment and disclaimed the quoted price and explained the job could take longer. I had a contracting business years ago and a quoted price was a quoted price without major price adjustments. If you decide to use this company for cleaning services, do not offer a credit card and demand that you pay in cash. Once they have your card information, they can arbitrarily charge you more, giving you, the customer, no recourse to challenge the price. We are reasonable people, but this is a complete rip off. This was so poorly managed, resulting in a 50% increase in the quoted price for a job 2/3 completed. Just a warning to all if you ever decide to use this company.

After interviewing several cleaning services, I chose Dakin Spotless Cleaning, largely because of the owner, Shelly. She was professional, attentive, thorough, and punctual from our very first conversation. She came out for a site visit, confirmed the requirements in person, and gave me upfront pricing -- no website forms, just a straightforward conversation with someone who actually understood the job. Her team tackled every nook and cranny of a 40-foot trailer. Dust was caked on above the furniture, and the vent covers had years of grime on them -- now they're sparkling. They even cleaned inside the air vents themselves. It was not an easy job, but they took it on without hesitation and did a fantastic job. Shelly's follow-up was excellent too -- when I asked her to take a second look at a spot, she and her team came right back and went above and beyond what I'd asked for. The trailer is spotless now, and I'm genuinely impressed. I'll admit I'm not an easy customer -- I have high expectations, and Dakin Spotless Cleaning managed to exceed my expectations. If you need a deep clean done right, call Shelly. I'd recommend them for any job, big or small.
