When I originally called to schedule an appointment, they spent a great deal of extra time on the phone walking me through some steps of doing an initial check of my chimney and what to look out for to minimize risk of fire/CO exposure. They did not have to do this, but went way out of their way to spend this extra time with me and lend a hand. Scheduling was easy and efficient, and they use Square app to confirm, track, and enable notifications for the appointment. During the inspection/cleaning, they were very friendly, transparent, communicative, and efficient. They prepped the work area which was then spotless upon completion as if they were never even there. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I had great conversations with the two sons during the appointment, and they took extra time to answer my questions and to walk through safety and operational concerns I had. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I'll be recommending Family Chimney Sweeps to everyone going forward. Great job!

Joe and Nate were very receptive and did a little research with the original equipment manufacturer. They discovered that there was a upgrade to a part in the insert that we had installed. However, due to this company being in Canada and Covid, the part did not ship as expected and seemed to be delayed at every turn. JCS decided the best course of action was to install a completely new insert for us. This was above and beyond, but we appreciate the excellent service commitment that they provided. I highly recommend using JCS. They do service the old-fashioned way.

The technician worked about an hour and a half and thought we had a problem taken care of. The technician left. About two hours later it started acting up again. I called her after hours phone number . They came back out last night worked again for about another hour and a half was able to find the problem and fix it.
