I'm so happy to have someone that knows how to fix my older appliances as I invest in appliances that are long-term! My refrigerator was purchased in 2000 so it's 25 years old, but Eric has maintained little fixes here and there and I'm able to keep this fridge for 25 years! I had an issue with my dryer making a weird noise when starting a cycle. I reached out to All Area Appliance Service on 3/5/21 and they responded right back to set up an appointment on 3/6/21. I was told anytime between 12 to 4 pm and Eric who came to do the service communicated the estimated time he would arrive. He came in and found the problem in minutes and had it replaced shortly thereafter. He was also very informative on the cost before anything was repaired so I would know and if I wanted him to go forward with the work! I will definitely use them again! read more

Avoid this company at all cost. We had them come to look at a refrigerator that was tripping a breaker. They came out, spent 2 minutes looking at the refrigerator and told my wife to try another outlet. He watched as she pushed the appliance by herself. His diagnosis according to the receipt was a bad compressor without him ever spending any time on the appliance. He then said here is your bill for the service call. In my opinion, he did not earn the money at all. We will never recommend them to anyone. We never received an estimate to fix anything and again the tech never touched the appliance! Once again All Area saves the day. Our fridge wasn't making any noise and the temp was dropping. Calling and asking for ASAP, I was told "tomorrow between 8 and 10". Terry called at 830, arrived at 900 and my blower was replaced and fridge running by 930! How in the world do you beat that! Everyone involved was wanting to make sure I was taken care of and happy. Contrary to what the Fed, HGTV, the banks, the guv'mint, your parents, and your neighbors tell you, owning a home kind of sucks. Even taking out of consideration the crappy housing market, what few people talk about in reference to home ownership is that you are now responsible for a very finicky, very expensive pet. Sure, it's all warm and snuggles when it's good, but when it's bad, when it needs a bath or a walk or, say, an entire set of new windows, you're a 6-pack away from reenacting the final scenes of Ol' Yeller. Yeah, yeah, SOME people get all Yankee Workshop and live for the DIY; they craft snazzy hutches and neat-o additions and "hey, look at this walk-in closet I made from a 2x4 and Ikea furniture scraps!" Fucking overachievers. Meanwhile, the only thing *I* can make is a phone call. So when my fridge iced over like Victoria Beckham's vagina, I knew I needed to call in the cavalry. Appliance repairmen? Honestly, Yelpers aren't big into appliance repair. Sure, they'll go on for 200 reviews over whether burger is best served on a Kaiser roll or not and whether it's worth that extra $1, but reviews about some of the most expensive things in your life? Nada. Still, I posted a talk thread. A few kind people answered but it was Stephie Z's advice that I took. And dammitall, was it good advice. First of all, All Area Appliance is billed as 24/7. I never took them up on it, but when I called on Sunday afternoon to change the initial contact number on the work order from mine to my wife's, someone answered and cheerily changed the number. They quoted me a seemingly fair price. (It was cheaper than a new fridge, so that seemed fair.) They have coupons online which the repairman immediately honored. They gave us a 2 hour window for arrival and actually showed up at the beginning of said window. Finally, when we showed the repairman how one of our ignitors on our stovetop is out, instead of pressing for another repair (which we would've gone for), he taught us a workaround. He added, "It's not worth getting them fixed until 2 or 3 of your ignitors go." Holy crap. Professional? Reasonable? On time? To quote Tracy Jordan from 30 Rock, I love All Area Appliance so much I want to take it behind a middle school and get it pregnant. Five stars! read more

When my washing machine suddenly decided it wasn't going to drain water, I did a quick internet search and discovered the culprit--a defective lid switch. Now, I'm normally a pretty handy kind of guy--my long history of taking apart my childhood toys has given me a basic understanding of how many things work; so I tried to apply said knowledge to the lid switch, which I promptly broke off of the washer housing. Well, the switch was still working, so I tried to fiddle with it to keep it working... and then broke the electrical components inside. And thus, I called All Area Appliance for help. I placed my call at about 8:30am or so, and the kind person who answered the phone took my details and the details of my washer. She then said that she should have someone out "before noon," which, in the age of scheduling cable appointments and waiting-all-day-for-Rooms-to-Go-to-deliver-a-damned-mattress, was refreshing. Even more refreshing was when the service tech, David, showed up at 10:20 or so, especially after All Area had to call me back to fix a transposed telephone number. David would then go to fix the washer in the most reasonable way possible after asking me a few questions, determining that excessive repairs wouldn't be cost-effective for the eleven-year-old appliance. And aside from the time savings, that alone is worth five stars--that an appliance repair service would go out its way to save me some money is definitely worth repeat business when my things inevitably fail. read more

The other 3 said, bad control board, bad gas valve, nothing wrong. So 3 different diagnoses. Ugh!! hate to let go of my lovely gas range - too fond of it. Atlanta home. Terry said the accubake ovens are well known to be problematic; expensive to repair; he actually advised me to go shopping for a new range rather than to repair it. "I've been doing this for over 30 years Ma'am, and I'm telling you not to repair it", "go shopping for a new one". He said that Frigidaire makes a good range, GE and Whirlpool too. Honest, no-nonsense - what a breath of fresh air. Wish I would've connected with him first! Saved his # in my phone. Ordered a Kenmore from Sears, made by Frigidaire, which is made by Electrolux (go figure) - I had a coupon. Oh well. read more

My less than two year old washing machine suddenly decided to develop a mind of its own, so I called All Area Appliance. Kerri worked with me to find a time that fit my schedule, and Tony showed up to figure out my apparently super complicated LG washer. After a bit of diagnosis, he realized that an electrical surge had fried part of the control board (side note: who knew my washer was more complicated than my college desktop...) The part had to be ordered from overseas, but showed up within 4 days and Tony returned to install it. Long story short, I'm thoroughly pleased with Tony, his professionalism, and his actual desire and interest to figure out what was wrong. He had never encountered several of the different features on this washer (therefore making repair a bit more challenging), and it was refreshing to see someone genuinely interested in their craft. It's not often that you encounter people who sincerely care about their work. I can't speak to the negative experiences of others because mine was all good! read more

Don't call this company asking any questions. We are a Real Estate/Property Management company, and was asking if they would be able to get a tech to a rental home within 3 days. After their first response that "we don't bill", was taken care of, I was informed curtly, that she couldn't guarantee repairs could be made in a required time period. When I said "thank you for your time" I was abruptly hung up on. This has got to be the worst repair service in Atlanta...After charging me $236 to replace my defrost heater we discovered the our freezer light bulb went out... it was working fine before the technician worked on it. We followed his instructions to defrost the fridge and not use it for 2 days and we are still having the freezer not cool intermittently and when I called the company up... 1. They could not help me without my invoice, they have no way of looking up your acct by name or number! 2. When I did call back with the invoice I kept getting their voice mail. Even after leaving 3 messages no one called me back and the lady Kerri had the audacity to tell me I never left any!! 3. I had to call using my out of state cell before I could get her which makes me think the company was avoiding my call. 4. For a front desk person this woman had no customer service skills whatsoever and kept insisting that since the service call wasn't for the light bulb they were not responsible for any cost associated with it even though it was working before the company technician worked on that section of the fridge. If I could give zero stars I would. 5. All they could agree to do was send the technician out again tomorrow between 11am -2pm so if they resolve this in professional manner I will redo my review but for now their service and attitude suck! read more

IN MY OPINION, I've experienced better customer service. AAA completed a repair on my washing machine. I posted a review about my experience. The owner responded to my review, accusing me of defamation. I just received a letter from her lawyer demanding that I remove my review and addendums. I have obliged. But again, in my opinion, I received better customer service from Lanny Adam's Appliance in East Point. The guy came and inspected my fridge and showed me what was wrong and told me how much it would be to replace, and agreed that is wasn't worth it so I just have to buy a new one. I would like to add my satisfied experience to the list. I called the office and Kerri was very polite and patient with me as I explained the problem, she was able to order the part that was needed. The next morning, David, the repair man, called to let me know his arrival time within the two hour window Kerri had given me and showed up on time. I had to call All Area Appliance again to work on my 10 year old gas range. He had been here about a year and a half ago to fix the oven. This time, he checked it out - determined it had various problems and gave an estimate of repair - which did not make sense to follow-thru with - but even so, he did offer to come back if we felt it was too costly to replace the stove. I own a property management company in Alpharetta. We ALWAYS need reliable vendors for one maintenance item or another and the two that are hardest to find are general handymen and appliance repair contractors. Thankfully I have found both and All Area Appliance is my "go to" appliance repair company. We were referred to All Area by another client several years ago and they have been handling our appliance calls ever since. They are prompt, reliable and a fair price for the work they do. They have completed over 50 work orders for our company and I can't remember ever having to send them back twice for the same job. My tenants always have good comments about their experience with them as well. Kerri and Eric go our of their way to save us money by suggesting alternatives to repairs, workarounds, and replacement vs repair when repair cost is less cost effective than replacement. I read good reviews about All Area Appliance from Kudzu and Yelp and I liked that they had a $9.95 service call fee. But I did not have a positive experience. The technician did not have the parts and he wanted me to pre-pay for the entire job before he ordered the parts. Finally he agreed to accept only the service fee for now and remaining payment at job completion. Then he said 'that works better for me because if I find some other problem while I'm in there, I'll just add it on'. They may be fine technicians, I can't rate their competence. But I won't find out because I'm not planning to do business with them. read more

This company customer service quoted my staff for $ 39.99 to come to check the refrigerator but will refund the fee when we get the service/full repair from them, but when they send the service man to come, it became a separate fee. The person was rude and yelling at my staff. When we try to call back they said if we don't pay right now, they will call the police. I had this service company come out and repair my refrigerator. The technician was at my home for 30 minutes and only had to replace a start relay. The suggested retail price on a start relay is $80. This company charged me $238.00. Website advertises $9.95 service call without repair and free with a repair. When I called their office, the woman COULD NOT give me a break down of the parts and labor - says they weren't price structured that way. Had leaky fridge and they came out in the designated time and fixed the water line on site. Charged me less than $100 when everywhere else quoted me $120-$150. They handle all appliances so I'll be sure to use them again. Eric came out and assessed the problem, fixed it, and even left me with extra pex tubing in case I needed to replace in the future. I tried Delta Appliance Repair previously, but their work led to the leak (they replaced the line 15 months ago and refused to repair). From now on I'll use All Area instead of Delta. read more

Excellent troubleshooting turned what at first glance was a $300 dryer controller board, into the $146 I paid for him to replace the heating fuse. My refrigerator stopped cooling. I tried to schedule an appointment through GE but they said it would be five days. Five days without food in my fridge? So I Googled repairmen and fond All Area Appliance. Kerri arrived in a couple of hours, figured out the problem quickly (my frost-free refrigerator had ice buildup in the freezer) and replaced a part. They charged $226 total, which seemed reasonable.
