Great experience, strong craftsmanship. Pleased with interaction from start to finish.

I had one conversation with Greg which I found SUPER helpful. I was looking for quotes for applying peel-and-stick wallpaper, and not knowing much about the product, it was very valuable to learn more about what kind of prep work it requires, maintenance, and how easy or difficult it might be to remove. We ultimately decided not to go with peel-and-stick, and I deeply appreciate Greg making sure we were aware of what the product entails -- seems like a very honest and professional thing to do. read more

Literally the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. I would never recommend him. Would not even measure our project. I have found a wonderful wallpaper company and guess what he even remembered my name and came to my home. Project completed!!!! Beware friends in Murrieta. read more

Greg McAllister, All American Wallpapering is the type of tradesman I enjoy working with. He responded timely to my email inquiry regarding the work to be done, arrived right on time for our appointment, did quality work with efficiency, and left without any trace of being there other than the excellent workmanship on the wall. I respect Greg's knowledge and expertise, and we'll most definitely have him back to do more work in the future!! read more

Greg called me back right away. I find him very professional, conversational with lots of years experience. I'm so delighted with the finished product on the 2 dining room walls that were about 10x10 each wall, you cannot even see the seams. It turned out just as we predicted. Fabulous! He is so conscientious and wants his customers to be satisfied. It was a little pricey - but someone else quoted even more. I was glad to have it done and learned a lot by watching. read more

It's great to work with a consummate professional like Greg McAllister of All American Wallpapering. Yes, others can paste and hang, but Greg's experience shines above the rest. He even consults on what paper works best for a particular application before you make a purchase (not all wallpapers/murals and pastes are the same). Sure, some opt for the least expensive wallpaper hanger out there but cutting corners on something you want for years or decades is short-sighted. You can cut costs on somethings in life like gasoline, where a bad decision is temporary until you fill-up again in a few days. However, this is where quality counts and you only get one chance to get it right. Otherwise, the little flaws become annoying eyesores that will leave you questioning the rash decision to shave a few dollars. In a world where so few have in-depth knowledge of their craft, from flipping burgers to medical practices, it's nice to work with the Greg McAllisters of the world. read more

Greg is fantastic! We asked him to install a pretty abstract mural with lots of lines that would look terrible if not aligned properly, and he was able to make all the seams disappear into the artwork. Its absolutely stunning! He's thorough and helped us avoid a terrible mistake with what type of wall paper we ordered and he was very careful and clean in the installation. I would definitely hire him again! read more

Greg did a beautiful job hanging my alligator wallpaper in my powder room. A little pricy but you get what you pay for .

Overcharged & disorganized. Added an extra $800 charge for clear primer without getting approval from me before doing it. He never mentioned that it would be an added cost. His pricing also didn't make sense because he charged the same price for all 4 walls even though 2 of them were almost half the size of the others. Wallpaper should be priced by square footage. He also charges $500 just to give a quote for the project. The quality of the work was okay. One spot was cut at a crooked angle which is disappointing considering he charged $800/wall when the average for the area is $500-600/wall. Not worth the price at all. He was very disorganized, mixing me up with different people and not remembering what he had texted me or not throughout the process of working with him. Before he came, I told him the measurements of my walls, and when he showed up he claimed he needed a bigger ladder (which is an extra charge) even though he knew the size of the walls before coming. The ladder he had was 6ft and he was at least 6ft tall, my walls were 10ft tall, so of course he could reach the top without an additional ladder. Clearly just trying to up-sell unnecessarily. read more

Quoted slightly above others' bids, then at time of scheduling, he more than doubled the cost with almost no explanation. From the start, I provided Greg very specific details of my job, (exact paper details, manuf. installation instructions, dimensions and photos of wall) and I asked if he was experienced hanging 54" wide commercial paper. He assured me he was. I was ready to schedule it but he suddenly increased the price (to over fifteen hundred) and said it was for primer. Knowing this was unreasonable just for primer, I asked him for more information but he just ghosted me. I never heard from him again. I can only surmise that he low-balled the quote just to book the job intending to upcharge me later, or he raised the price dramatically because he really didn't want to do the job (perhaps he isn't experienced with 54" wide commercial paper after all). Either way, it was very unprofessional to quote me low, then up-charge without basis, then ghost me. I can not recommend this company. read more

Greg did a great job, our wallpaper looks great. He was thorough and explained the process and made sure all the seams lined up. Would definitely use again for future projects! read more

I do not want to disparage the business- I'll just say this though- their price was 3 1/2 yes THREE AND A HALF TIMES MORE than my guy in Los Angeles. Crazy!!!!!!! I guess I'll pay small travel fee. read more

No the quote I thought was to high and they wouldn't negotiate with price. So I went elsewhere.

Was referred by a friend, so I reached out about paper install job in new house. Needed to know how much to purchase as I ordered wallpaper. Would not come to job site to measure, wanted me to take pictures or videos of job to be completed, wanted me to send wallpaper scans so he could look up the paper for roll sizes and such, and all with a pompous atttitude. Very turned off by the guy, sadly based on my friend's review, I referred him to another neighbor who was papering a wall. read more

Way too expensive for what the job entails. Looks good, But there was work that I had to help him with.

I wanted to hang wall paper but I have not been good at it so for the first time ever I called in a professional. Wow! I'm so happy I did. Not only was the job done well it was done quickly and everything was cleaned up after so I didn't have any extra mess. I will never go back to doing it myself again. I was even short and John was able to use what I had to make it work and made it look perfect rather than patched together. I'm so impressed still. My wall paper is textured and has a large feather print. Love it! John did AMAZING!!! read more

We used All American Wallpapering for our fireplace surround. Greg provided an estimate and quote via text and gave us clear instructions on what we could do to properly prepare the walls to insure the wallpaper would install properly. Greg arrived on time at our home and took the time to consider the best layout given the wall paper we chose. After communicating options and making decisions, Greg proceeded with the installation. Even during the install process Greg would explain what he was doing to make sure we were thoroughly aware of what was happening. He even explained how he would remove the fireplace gas key to result in a very clean look. We are very happy with the finished install which took less than 3 hours, much less time than we thought. read more

Greg is very professional and gave a significant amount of time to us on deciding which type of wallpaper to use, including styles. We ended up painting the space but definitely recommend him and will be reaching out to him in the future for other projects. read more

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I contacted Greg prior to even buying my wallpaper and he assisted me with figuring amount to buy and a price quote. Once I received paper he quickly scheduled my install. Greg hung my paper with great attention to detail and made sure I was pleased throughout the process. He did a perfect install on three walls, using two different papers. He is knowledgeable and versed in various wallpaper types and applications (I learned this firsthand because my wallpapers each had different application needs) He worked very neatly too and made sure furniture etc was back in place. Greg is friendly and professional. His pricing is also very fair and appropriate. I highly recommend! read more

Very professional and helpful from start to finish! Greg is helpful in ensuring you have the right amount of paper (understanding pattern, dimensions, etc) which is key to the process. Once confirming paper amount, he and his son Tyler checked out the bathroom space to confirm dimensions and wall texture prior to the job. Tyler did the install and we couldn't be happier - he was so careful and also professional and clean, leaving our home as he came. The finished product was beautiful and we would definitely recommend All American Wallpapering! read more

After selecting some grass cloth wallpaper at a store that exclusively sells wallpaper, the decorator who was helping me insisted that I find an experienced wallpaper hanger, not a handyman or painter that occasionally did it. Because the store was pretty far from where I would be installing it, she didn't have anybody to recommend. I eventually discovered Greg and All American Wallpapering. Unlike many other vendors I have been dealing with in order to get this house into shape, he called me back quickly and even suggested things I could do myself to prep the wall so he wouldn't have to charge me for doing them himself. The job turned out great, and I would recommend him to anybody. While his price might seem higher than others, you aren't paying him by the hour, you are paying for the 40 years of experience that allows him to do the job correctly and make it look easy. And with the price of some wallpapers, if your handyman ruins a roll during installation, that's going to cost you plenty. read more
