Omar is an amazing artist who really takes care of his clients and their needs. Only regret is that I didn't get aquatinted with him sooner! really would have saved me the trouble of having him fix anothers work. 10/10 would recommend and go again. read more

Says open on Monday but wasn't open and no one at the shop. Tattoo artists may be good but this business needs to be more professional

Great ink and service. They have been in business for over 20 years and it shows. Super easy decision and great work. Go get some !! read more

These guys are amazing. My friend and I walked in with the designs in mind and they drew out the design for editing and sizing. They were kind and great listeners. They are very conscientious about cleaning and keeping their work area sanitized. Loved their work and our time there was a great way to spend our time. Very happy with the results!!! read more

I was very emotional about getting my first tattoo, but Omar was full of helpful information and set me at ease. He is a true artist and I love the way he turned my concept into something that would look good not just now but through the years. I would definitely go back to Omar. read more

11/10 experience. I haven't gotten my tattoo yet, just scheduled an appointment. All American is easily one of the most welcoming places I've ever been to. I was anxious initially because I'm young and a woman, and going anywhere by myself in a place I'm not familiar with is scary, but they were all so kind, and I even got to joke around with them a bit. Friendly and truly genuine owner and staff. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a tattoo especially if it's your first time and are nervous about the whole process. read more

I was in Salem for business, and was lucky enough to get an appointment with Omar. I wanted a tattoo of my guitar and I emailed him a picture. When I showed up to the shop he already had an awesome design sketched out. I brought the guitar with me and he looked at it as he was doing the tattoo and got every single detail perfect. Everyone in the shop was really cool, and it was apparent that cleanliness is a top priority there. I live in phoenix, but I think next time I decide to get some work done I'll fly back to Salem to have it done by Omar. He's that good. read more

All American Tattoo - (3 months after)This is a tattoo Omar did on my forearm. He did absolutely amazing and im very happy with it. - Tattoo Near Me - Salem, Oregon

I came by this place looking for some good tattoo therapy, with my hands COVERED in pen marks to depict (messily) what I wanted done. And although he didn't know it, Chris took on a lot more than my two hands of line work and symbols, and was able to pull me out of a dark place with his tattoo artistry and friendly conversation. Parking sucks, but the price is reasonable , the staff is friendly and I generally had a good time. I will definitely be going back! read more

The best tattoo experience ever! Cassidy did my tattoo at this shop, but everyone in the shop was really cool, friendly and complimentary. They mingled with those who were getting inked and tagging along alike. Omar is a well-know tattoo artist and is featured in tattoo magazines. He is also pretty well-known in the Christian tattoo world. Omar's faith does not mean he is a Bible-beater, which is totally the opposite. It means he is a great family guy who succeeds at offering a spotless tattoo shop where bacteria do not exist, great artists, excellent tattoos and fair rates. read more

This is a shop worth noticing. All of the artists at the shop want to give you and will give you a piece of art you will be happy to show off. I know one big thing people always ask when you tell them about a tattoo shop is: "well how much do they charge?". The answer to this question is one of the awesome things about all the artists at All American. They can kick out work in an hour that would take most artists 2-3. Now you are probably thinking that they are just fast and willing to sacrifice quality for speed. This is not the case. I get the most compliments on the pieces done at All American over my other work. They also are willing to take on custom work for you. This is a shop with skill in being able to make any vision you have a real work of body art. Beyond the amazing work All American does they also want to be your friend. I don't mean just over the internet. They are great people with real personalities that aren't afraid of big jobs and won't mock you for wanting just kanji or a star. You will often hear Omar say: "You say cliche' I say Classy". The yearly shop parties are also worthy of note. So next time you are trying to figure out where to get your next tattoo done, don't allow yourself to fall victim to just going some where close, because it's there. That kind of mind-set is what allows starbucks to stay in business. Check out All American Tattoo. read more

my first tattoo (of my dogs paw print) was done here and it was perfect, came out just as I pictured it ! the gentlemen that did my tattoo was very helpful and calming through the process. It was nice to see that cleanliness was a priority as well, made sure everything was perfectly wiped down before we started. I would definitely come back here for future tattoos . everyone in the shop was also very cool, there was friendly vibe of everyone chatting and laughing, very welcoming. read more

Got a really bad tattoo touched up here. It looks flipping amazing -the way it was intended too! I wish I could remember the artists name. I know it wasn't Omar or Cassidy. Maybe Dean. Anyway, I needed a place to go and I asked a few locals and ALL recommended here. They were right. read more

My husband and I just stopped by there on a whim. I've never had a tattoo and was looking for something small, not for public viewing, on my breast. I knew exactly what I wanted, a half moon, half sun, facing each other with faces. I did not have a photo with me. I explained what I wanted and even asked if they could go on the internet to find an example. This is a very common picture to find. The man on the left and the woman watching us from the right didn't really seem to give a damn about helping me. I was given a cost, probably a fair price, but that was it. I walked way feeling as if they were not interested at all. I've seen other 5 star reviews here. Probably people that have several tattoos and don't need the handholding. If you are a newbie, DO NOT come here. read more

Our band was playing in Salem for two nights, and we called the shop to see if they could get us in on short notice. They were very accommodating. Both my hubby and i got tattoos by Dean, as Omar was busy all day with another piece. Dean worked with us, talked about what we wanted and what he could do, and then got to work. Dean was very respectful and realistic, and to the point, which is what both my hubby and i like. The overall attitude of the place was very accepting, and they had music playing the whole time. We are both very satisfied with what we got out of All American, and will be returning next time we are in town. Dean's traditional roses are amazing, and i am getting them on me somewhere, somehow. read more

I am not happy with Cynthia. I went in and paid for a full color cover-up, and even though she did some beautiful line work and detail, it was in all black and gray. She told me to come back and we do all the color work and then when I went back she wanted another $300 to do the rest of the color read more

I don't have to many tattoos but I have a significant amount, enough to experience several other tattoo places. And this place is far the best place I've gone to and continue to go to. The staff is super chill, no preassure, their designs are amazing and their pricing are reasonable. I've been going to Chris whose got a natural gifting and whose just laid back. Recommend this place to everyone, if you haven't gotten a tat and are contemplating give this place a visit and your curiosity will over. read more

This shop and especially Omar helped me get hooked on the art form of tattooing. I have always loved the laid back family feel of the shop. You can just go in to hang out on one of their couches or to do a walk in tattoo. Time for some tattoo therapy? Head on in. read more

I love the artwork of my tattoo and it was done fairly well, but the business itself has not so good service. The person who did my tattoo was extremely unfriendly and did not respond to questions properly. I felt extremely nervous because I didn't want someone who I didn't trust to be permanently mutilating my body. Overall, I would not come back to this business for future tattoos. read more

my boyfriend just went in to All American yesterday for his first tattoo, and he left with a beautiful piece & a big smile on his face. And all without putting a hole in his pocket! This was the first tattoo shop, and only tattoo shop we checked out yesterday, and we were instantly drawn in to the clean, brightly decorated shop. We showed Omar a picture of the piece we wanted to get, and left to the store, then 20 minutes later came back to the sketch of something gorgeous ! My boyfriend had not one single complaint about the sketch. The shop is great, Omar knows what he is doing, and the art he does will leave you speachless. If you want an amazing tattoo, go to All American. you will NOT be disappointed! read more

I think the guy who did my tattoo was nice but to quiet which made it a little awkward and he did an okay job on my tattoo, I really liked his hand writing (My children's name's) but the little "charm's" (To represent my kid's personalities) could have been a bit better. I plan on getting them touched up. The outlines just aren't dark enough. The cost was pretty reasonable. Over all it was okay and I am happy with my tattoo. The guy who owns the shop was a bit of a jerk though, he kind of had an attitude. Maybe our personalities just clashed or something. I'm sure other people have found him great but I just think his social skills need a bit of improving if he wants customers to enjoy their experience and continue coming back and to bring others to them. read more

Had almost all my tattoos here by Omar. He's the best! Incredible mind for coming up with killer tatts! U have an idea he'll create it! My left arm sleeve is awesome! I was there on 2/25/15. Where I met Chris my artist, really cool guy. The work I had done was a shoulder to bicep piece on my right arm. While he was working on my arm we were just making small talk and had a great time. When he was done with my piece, my tattoo looked professional. Great job! I will be returning soon to get some more work done! I recommend this tattoo shop. read more

My tattoo did turn out good, it was just a super basic outline and the price was really great. The three stars is solely for the customer service given to me by the tattoo artist, he may have been doing tattoos for however long but he was just vulgar, did not act professional in my opinion and did not answer my questions at all. I had a few pictures for the colors and fills that I wanted for my tattoo and I asked if he could appraise me a price and how long it might take to get it done and he said something along the lines of "Oh it just depends." And I was really confused because I had exactly what I wanted right there in front of us, he could have just answered the question, I don't see how it could have depended on anything I just wanted a ballpark estimation. He cracked lude, unprofessional jokes the entire time he was tattooing me, and stupid life stories about gross things that I don't care about. He gave me no information about aftercare, even though i already know the basics of tattoo aftercare it's always nice to see that the artist cares enough to tell you anyway. The outline, like I said, was good. Just basic. I ended up going to another shop to have the color filled in because my experience with this shop was too frustrating. If you can handle annoying jokes and no follow up appointment then go for it, I have a friend who went here and got tattooed by another artist in the shop and she enjoyed her experience, and my cousins were the ones who took me here to get my tattoo and they love this artist. Not particularly my taste in people, maybe it was an off day for his personality, but first impressions like that last for me so I won't be going back here. read more

At least its not hot rod bettys...that place causes staph and they grope their clients

I went here on my 18th birthday. I was recommended by a friend that had work here done by Omar. Well I didn't get tattoo'd by Omar. It was by a guy who called himself "Bobby Love" if i remember correctly. I knew for many years, tattoo on my 18th birthday. And He made it happen. He said he normally charges 100 dollars/hr. And it would only take him 45min to a hour to do it. I was like sweet deal. Turned out he realized it was alot more detail and alot less shading. Ended up taking around 3 hours. And about 2 hours into it I started getting worried about how long it was gonna be and how much it was gonna be. So I asked. His response " You want it finished do you not" I said "yes" He said "Then don't worry about it" So I let go of all of my worries and just enjoyed it. And when it was finished... I asked him how much I owed him. It was a freaking STEAL! He cut the price of how much he normally charges, and even told me if I needed touch ups on it in a couple weeks I could go back and he would touch it up for free..... I never needed touch ups. Its amazing. I couldn't of asked for something better :) read more
