I've tried to set up a consultation 2 times and both were cancelled. I guess she does not want new clients?!

Nic is amazing! I've been going to her for years, and every tattoo she's done for me has blown me away. After my wedding she did a stunning passion flower on my thigh to match my husband's, and she customized both pieces to perfectly fit our personalities. They both turned out perfect! She's also designed my entire floral fauna sleeve, complete with cute animals, and every piece feels so personal and unique. One thing I love is how patient she is. I can be picky about my designs/placement, but she never makes me feel rushed and always gets every detail exactly right. To the extent, I can just tell her what I like now and give her creative freedom and come away happy! Her shading, highlights, and contrast are next-level, and her color work is stunning. My artist is Amanda! She has blonde hair and dyes it sometimes. I do NOT recommend! I told her what I wanted which I thought was a simple ask? I asked for "a vine of leaves that are big! Into a grid with half of it shaded in" once I saw the stencil it was small! So I repeated what I asked for in the beginning and he reassured me that it'll be how I wanted! It wasn't! I wasn't trying to look at it since I have a hard time dealing with needles and at the end of the tattoo it was a beautiful peace! But not what I asked for! When I saw it, she didn't change the size at all and did little flicks in the small leaves.... I walked out I don't know why! It wasn't an ugly tattoo but not what I wanted! Went I emailed her saying everything and how I was unhappy about it and want it removed she offered to touch up my boyfriends tattoo that she also just added weird grids into the rocks in his tattoo witch I've never seen a rock like that.. why would you do that.. she started making up thing that didn't happen! She said she told me she couldn't do that kind of shading... if I knew that then I wouldn't be asking her to do that... like what? And honestly there's so much more but she won't offer me any money back or anything but ignoring me now so I wouldn't put my money into AMANDA at this place. Did the research and found this studio and it has not been a disappointment. Been back 3 times and this Monday for a 4th. My artist is Sarah Whitman, I trust her designs implicitly. The other artists are amazing, highly recommend! read more

I can't say enough good things about Lanea. I actually had to reschedule twice and she was super understanding and accommodating. The drawing she created of my ideas was incredible. She was great about listening to what I wanted and making changes I asked for. The actual tattooing process was super great, I've had really heavy handed artists in the past and she is the opposite. I was able to sit for a long time. I still have one more session but the (almost) finished product is absolutely incredible. The colors are vibrant, the crows she did are mind blowing and the flowers are phenomenal . Her shading is exquisite. 10/10 would recommend her!!! read more

I have now gotten 5 of my tattoo's from Back40 and I fully intend on getting many many more! I personally get my tattoo's done by Nicole. She does AMAZING work. But I would recommend any of these ladies to do your tattoo. Every artist has a different style to fit what you're looking for. This shop is the real deal! No need feeling nervous to get a tattoo. The ladies in this shop are just the best. They're super nice, reasonably priced, and do excellent work. The only complaint I have is that they're often booked out a ways. Which really isn't a bad thing, I'm just impatient! I love this shop though. I don't know that I'll ever go anywhere else. Worth the drive to get there, for sure. read more

Called yesterday about a new tattoo and the lady that answered was booked up for the day. She said she would have the owner call when she returned to see if she could do it. Less than an hour had return call and scheduled in a couple of hour. Drove over to Molalla and met Nicole. What a very nice lady. Did the design and proceeded with tat. All I can say it turned out great. I will go back again if I have another one. Highly recommend them. read more
