I liked my tattoo so much that I looked up his studio again and I am glad I came back to do my touch up and minor cover up work here. The price is very reasonable considering how detailed the work was. Robert is very talented, especially at natural looking tattoos. He draws up your idea and does not proceed until he is sure you like it. Robert is very detailed, takes his time, and skilled. He is very mild mannered and easy to talk to. And I showed him the design I wanted and he said it was too big and it wasn't going too look right with the flowers all being inside the 2x2. And I said "okay then let's just do the ladybug and I'll add the flowers later" and he said "good idea!!" And I don't know where he got the tattoo I got from. This one has a different head. Different dots. Has legs. And was just not what I wanted. To be fair I didn't correct him but also I shouldn't really have to. I had someone draw it for me and I didn't take a second look at her drawing until he was already half way done. He didn't tell me how to clean or take care of it (maybe he assumed I knew how since I have plenty of other tattoos but different artists have different after care suggestions and I tend to do what each artist tells me so if something goes wrong I can tell them I did exactly what they told me to.) He was also rolling his eyes when I asked him to move the placement. I have other tattoos on my arm and the lady bug was not centered with the other ones and it would have look wack if I had not insisted on moving it over. Then when we were leaving there was blood dripping down my arm I asked for a napkin he rolled his eyes. I get that he has been doing this all day and he's probably tired. (8pm) but I would have much rather him say "hey im really tired how about you come back _____ for the same price" or something like that. Instead of getting something that I didn't want permanently on my body. My friend came in with me and she had a similar experience (him saying it's not gonna look right and doing something different than what she had designed)

Caspar was super quick to respond and easy to schedule with and talk about the design with. Went in a couple days later and got the tattoos. After a great deal of research (plus the recommendation of my pharmacist whose tattoo I admired), I…read moremade an appointment with Phoebe at Sundew Tattoo when their books opened. I chatted with them for a bit over email to pin down what I wanted done and what I wanted the experience to be like and then when the appointment time came, I was excited to get it done! I'm prone to fainting when there are needles involved so when I started feeling woozy I asked if we could change my position to laying flat on my back with my knees up and Phoebe reset the table perfectly so I could come back from that feeling and they could work once I was ready. I had to pause several times at the beginning and Phoebe was very kind and patient with me, letting me rest as needed and getting back to it when I was ready. When they were all done, it was super exciting to see the finished artwork! My tattoo is better than I could've imagined and I'm thrilled with it! This shop is lovely with soft music, a kind of gothic/witchy sort of vibe, and Phoebe clearly takes care to keep all tools and everything pristinely clean.
