Every company I tried claimed experience. Almost none of them were. Past techs spent hours milling around my boiler room over multiple days, on the phone with Viessmann's customer service reps, unable to pinpoint what was wrong with my boilers. Their solution? Sell me an entirely new system ($40,000 to $60,000 each for two boilers), because they couldn't figure out mine. Weeks went by waiting on what should have been simple, basic parts. One company quietly pulled out of Summit County altogether -- after charging me their hourly rate to stand around not fixing anything. I could have made those phone calls to Viessmann's customer service myself. So instead of trusting online reviews -- many of which seem bogus -- I went to Viessmann's own website and looked up who they recommend in Summit County: All American Heating. Given my past experience, I expected the worst. Within minutes, Mike and Liam diagnosed the issue, had the parts on hand at their Silverthorne office, and fixed it. They knew Viessmann. They also knew dozens of other domestic and foreign heating systems. And instead of pushing me towards a new system, they repaired mine with parts they had on hand, and recommended routine maintenance to significantly extend each boiler's useful life - not just a few years, but a decade or more. They even worked through the maze of computer programming needed to tune the system for optimal efficiency -- all in minutes without having to call Viessmann. I waited for the other shoe to drop, but it never did. That's the modern reality: a good plumber now has to be a computer programmer too. Mike and Liam at All American are honest and VERY experienced. Over 16 years, I've used about eight different plumbing/HVAC companies (very large and small) in Summit County across multiple properties, and Mike and Liam are, by far, the best. They're punctual too -- given a 1-5 pm window, they arrived at 1:10. Also, All American Heating's maintenance program is reasonably priced and keeps the system running at peak efficiency while extending its life - all with many discount perks included. Be careful who you choose, and don't trust bogus online reviews. There's so much garbage on the internet these days -- even from companies that supposedly screen their vendors. We are so happy that All American Heating services our neighborhood. It is very difficult to find timely and reliable HVAC service in rural mountain areas, which is weird because heating is so important at 10,000 feet. We have needed them, and they have been there for us! They fixed our leaking water heater last summer and our furnace this December. Our furnace was an emergency, and they came out at 10 PM in the evening to make sure we had heat through the night! read more

I requested a simple furnace check because the house we are in has not had one for several years. They showed up on time. Two young men showed up, one of them was a complete trainee and did nothing. They were here for about an hour and I had several questions about the air blowing noise the furnace was making. The lead gentleman turned to me and said if you ask anymore we'll have to start charging you for additional hours because of all the questions. I asked them about a condensation drain system and they strongly recommended a small handsized plastic tube filter to prevent sulfuric acid from forming and eating up my lines and ruining my septic tank which they have heard about a lot. I asked if he had ever witnessed that and he said no. He presented me with a cheap plastic condensation filter and said our septic system probably wouldn't last without it. It costs $300 for an 8-in plastic tube with beads in it. I did some research online afterwards and found it is not needed and the filtration tubes run anywhere from $30 to $90 on Amazon. I learned online that the acidity from condensation is about a five on the pH scale which is slightly acetic, and normal drainage from a household is slightly alkaline at about a level of 9, so it balances out when it hits the septic system. The amount of acidity that would hit the system anyways is about the same as a fart, very minimal. It's a $90 part and a $210 installation fee!! The part simply glues in- line in the middle of a plastic 1/2-in PVC pipe which would take me 5 minutes. After loudly verbally referencing a red wire and a blue wire, and the wiring diagram (they sounded like this heater was unfamiliar), my wife asked what they were doing. He raised his voice and said "We know what we're doing!". She asked about his certification and the trainee mentioned he was an apprentice and has never done this before, and the lead gentleman shouted that he's been doing it for 2 years and has been to the Rheem training school. We asked him what is included in the inspection and he started rattling off every single part of a furnace in an arrogant manner for about a full minute. I nearly kicked him out of the house at that point. He really was a belligerent, loud and arrogant jerk. He charged $200 but tried to push a 6-month inspection for $295 and I said no, absolutely no. I never received a receipt, a work completed report or any specifications on my furnace, it's pressure or performance. They said the loud noise I was experiencing was normal. I had a dangerously high level of CO coming out of my gas furnace. I called these guys and they charged me $400 to fix it. The CO level he measured went down so the guy assumed he did his job . Then the owner came by a few days later and told me the levels of CO were still too high and dangerously so. He poked around in my furnace and said that I needed some repairs and he'd get back to me. It's been about two months and no update. I've called repeatedly but no update. Fall is around the corner and I have no idea what their plans are to repair my furnace. I've finally hired another company. Unless you're good with being put in an unsafe situation and then ghosted and left hanging, I wouldn't hire this company. read more

The guys were very friendly and seemed like they knew what they were doing. work that cost me 2.5k and then after errors in a shower leak wanted to charge another 800 for error and further leaks from same issue they addressed and failed to fix. I asked for a bid for in floor heating 6 months ago. I sent my proposed plans for new construction and called the 8 times over those months. They said they would work on it. I called yesterday and they said they didn't have time for anymore new construction projects. What a waists of my time. I will never use these guys again and will recommend others go elsewhere also. We used All American years ago for our furnace and water heater when Fairplay ran natural gas up to the house. Fast forward 5 years and Mark performed a regular tune-up on the furnace. He was prompt, called ahead, friendly and efficient. I haven't needed them for emergencies or parts but so far my experience has been great and I would call him again! read more

Wow... Called to get a price for duct cleaning on a 2 bed 1 bath 800sf apt on main st in Fairplay. (Rought 3 miles from their location in Fairplay). I spoke to ( J ) and she said it would cost $209 trip charge to give an estimate and then there would be the charge for the work. She couldn't tell me a rough idea for this size of an apartment. $500 $1000.. ??? She didn't know... So if I had agreed to the trip charge for someone to give me an estimate and then I couldn't afford to get the work done, I would still be charged the $209, they didn't even offer to roll that into work done. Such a crappy company. I know they've been in Fairplay for a few years, but I have no idea how they stay in business. I recently bought a home in Breckenridge, and my water heater failed within two weeks of closing... of course! Called All American Heating first, because their magnet was on my heater, provided my info and was told the "on call" tech would contact me within twenty minutes. Seventy-two hours later, the receptionist calls and asks if I still need a service call? After an hour of waiting for All American, called Ben Franklin and they arrived same day for an emergency service fix. All American magnet is in the trash. read more

I have been a customer for years and recently they fell short. They charged me $315 to do maintenance and left. The next day the furnace stopped working. They could not have anyone come out for days. We are having a problem with one of the showers in our 2nd home and twice I had to go up after work on Thursday for a Friday morning appointment that they never showed up for. I called in and set up a service call for a plumber to come fix a leak on a pipe and look at doing some other work as well. Instead of a Plumber they sent out an HVAC tech who couldn't do any plumbing work. Instead of getting any plumbing repairs, all I received was a bill for $175. Went in to get a cartridge replacement for a faucet. Was told the replacement was $105.00. I mentioned this was about an 8 dollar part which I have gotten from then before. She was adamant about the 105.00. I went to true value (now ace hardware) down the street and got the cartridge for about 8 dollars. Went by to show american heating it is in fact around an 8 dollar part. They said they "use a different vendor" thus the price difference. I'll say. She still wanted over 100 dollars for a plastic faucet cartridge. read more

Home owners beware All American Heating gauges their customers and the quality of work is horrible. When i converted from propane to natural gas they did the conversion wrong. My family and I suffered for an entire winter arriving to a cold home and our furnace kept shutting off for no reason. All American Heating kept telling us that the furnace was "fine". They speculated and made-up outrageous stories why it was shutting off but they couldn't fix it and kept billing us anyway. We had pipes burst in the garage and lots of damage because of All American Heating. Finally in the summer John the owner admitted that they installed the conversion kit wrong and he fixed it (and charged us) but the damage to our pipes was done. Warning!! Stay away from this company!!! I called John the owner and he said he was going to come out and give me a free bid for a whole house filtration system. I didnt hear from him for over 6 weeks so I went with someone else and then he decides to charge me for the visit. After I left a message for him to call me and talk about it like a man or I will just see him in court he decides to turn the bill over to collections. It is a bill he has absolutely no justification for and will not call and discuss and he turns it over to collections!! My credit is perfect and this was quite the surprise to say the least!! Just had Kellen come over and give my furnace a service at my rental property. He was on time and fast. He got me all cleaned up and ready for winter. My furnace is a little old but running great so there was no pressure to buy another although that was his recommendation as the unit is pushing 20 years. read more
