Staples has always been the go-to place for office supplies in Hobbs…read more The service has been better than I remember. That being said, I've noticed a lack of professionalism during a few visits... namely, inappropriate topic discussions at the front register and the newest stocking guy frequently cussing while talking to another employee. It's one thing to speak freely with your supervisor behind closed doors, but another to be so careless and vile within a customer's earshot. I've picked up blue prints and a few other print jobs for my boss here. No major issues other than having to wait an extra 10 minutes because they didn't notice his second request in their sytem. They were apologetic. The store is large and organized well. Large, spacious parking lot to match your shopping experience. On another (albeit rather silly) note, I'm glad they named it "Staples" and not something arbitrary like "Rulers" or "Erasers" or "Letter Openers." While rulers, erasers, and letter openers certainly are handy tools in the office, actual staples help keep important stuff together. So do "Paper Clips," but would have been way too long to say and shortening it to "Clips" could cause even more confusion. Keep your office and/or school life together. Go to Staples.

In my possession on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, was a very important birthday package that needed to be sent ASAP, but not so ASAP that I had to pull a loan... Lol. The employee who assisted me was welcoming & efficient. She didn't try to persuade me to purchase an unnecessary, more expensive method of shipping. There was ample parking at this middling site. It's a bit lackluster on the outside & inside, but it gets the job done. My package recipient was opening their birthday gift by Friday so I'm a happy camper.

My bosses requested that I hire a local company for graphics on our plain company trucks…read more I went with Awesome Graphics out of Hobbs, NM, and am mostly pleased with the results. They offer... + screen printed & embroidered apparel + custom signs + banners + promotional products (including koozies, drink ware, pet gear, & much more) + printed & cut vinyl decals & stickers. My first step back in Januaray 2023 was to gather information about the whole process. I didn't pick up where I left off until July. The graphic designer, Brittany, was friendly and easy to work with. At the time, I didn't know what questions I needed answers to as this was the first project of this kind that I had ever worked on. We wanted decals on the back passenger windows that would allow one to see out of the vehicles from inside. We also needed my office/mobile phone number on the back end sides of each truck. Additionally, each truck needed its unit number on the tail gate. The design looks good. The actual vinyl on the window is good until you get up close then you can see jagged cuts around the edges. I'm not too concerned about it though unless it starts peeling. All of the proofs were approved or declined through email. The program they use for this is mostly user-friendly. Our small business currently has a fleet of only 4 work trucks, but we also have several closed and open trailers that may potentially need graphics in the future. Half of the estimate was due at the time of signing the work contract. The other half is due after the order is complete. They accept checks, plastic cards, and online payments. The other staff member & the owner - Tonya & Lauren - have been great to work with, accommodating our crazy schedule including the missed appointment one of my bosses had when he fell ill with the flu. The only concerns I have are 1) that some of the window vinyl has bubbles in them still and 2) they duplicated one of the unit numbers are the back of two trucks even though the proofs showed them correctly. I let them know about this and there still has been no communication about this in over a week. TIPS + free quotes + lead time is 2+ weeks

Their Thrifty Boutique is located on Turner Street five blocks from the police station. When another donation drop-off center had a sign on their door that they were no longer accepting donations for 2022, I decided to see if Sheri's was available. Prior to this day, I had never been there. The ladies who were working here on 12/9/2022 when I dropped off donations were welcoming and friendly. Most of the items are women's and children's clothes and shoes, but I saw jewelry, girls' hair bows, and a plethora of other items. From now on, I most likely will be bringing my items worth donating to Sheri's - especially after reading about Sheri and her mother's efforts to change law enforcement mindset about victims of domestic violence. Under no circumstances should anyone - female or male - be a victim of domestic abuse! Please help make others aware of this tragic nonsense by donating & encouraging others to donate to Sheri's.

My hometown Habitat for Humanity makes me proud!…read more Yesterday--May 8, 2024-- I called their office to inquire about how furniture donations work. A receptionist referred me over to her coordinator. The coordinator explained that as long as the furniture pieces had no damage or stains that most likely the items would be accepted. Then she had me text her some photos. After giving me their blessing that they would accept them they gathered my address and pick up information as I was not able to bring them to the store. I am not sure what their mile radius is, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if they would be able to pick items up for you. If you're able to drop off items, this large building in Hobbs, New Mexico is easy to find next to Tractor Supply. Today--May 9, 2024--when the two guys who arrived on time (11AM) to pick up my sofa and loveseat donations, they were very cordial and mentioned that the set I was donating was very nice. I hope somebody will appreciate them as much as I did. Please donate or volunteer for Habitat: https://www.hobbshabitat.org/about-us
