The intra-oral massage was like nothing I'd ever experienced. It can be intense but Carol is so nurturing and thoughtful, constantly checking in on whether it's too much. She has a gift that can't necessarily be taught. You either are tuned into others or you're not. She definitely is, if you are able to experience her magic, I highly recommend it! Also, this suite has many thoughtful touches to ensure the guest is comfortable. I give this place 10 out of 5 stars.

I bought my sister a gift certificate of $180.00 for her birthday to enjoy a massage at Rapture…read more When she was filling out the form they asked her to provider her pronoun. This was not an optional question however it should be since its personal. She declined to answer the question online and by doing so could not complete the form. She went to Rapture in person on her appointment date to fill out any forms needed for the massage. She's been to spas before so she knows the routine is pretty straight forward when you're there. In this case however, it was not. While there she was told by a Rapture employee that she would have to answer the question and disclose her pronoun that she prefers. She explained to them that this is not necessary and that she doesn't feel comfortable disclosing this information to them or to anyone else for that matter. Rapture declined service due to this unnecessary, and what should be optional question to answer. They literally told her that they can't provide a massage service that has already been paid for through a gift certificate because she wouldn't disclose her pronoun preference. The employee also said this was required in case of an emergency. What emergency service would actually care or even ask what someones pronoun is? They don't. Furthermore, Rapture didn't even offer to refund the GC even though they weren't providing the service. The least they can do is provide a refund. That would be the descent thing to do. Not decline service and keep the money. Rapture, I have issued a charge back on to my credit card for services not provided.

Upon arrival, the calming ambiance and cleanliness immediately set a positive tone. I opted for a deep tissue massage, and my therapist was attentive, checking in on pressure throughout. From the moment I arrived, he was warm, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. He took the time to actually listen to what I needed and tailored the session perfectly to my problem areas. The massage itself was amazing--intuitive pressure, thoughtful flow, and just the right balance between therapeutic and relaxing. I walked out feeling lighter, looser, and genuinely refreshed, not just "temporarily relaxed." You can tell Robert really cares about his clients and takes pride in his work. If you're looking for a skilled, kind, and attentive massage therapist in the Tacoma area, I highly recommend booking with him. I loved my session so much that I already know I'll be seeing him again anytime I'm back in Washington state. Total gem! ‍

This franchise has zero problems with lying to you about being able to use credits from other locations then charging you to use them simply because they aren't the "parent" location. Wow. I needed to…read morecome back and update my review after SUCH a horrendous experience with the OWNER of this establishment, Allison yesterday and STILL remain disgusted after seeing additional actions taken by Thrive Chiropractic... READERS BEWARE: if you take pride in researching your next establishment, as I do, please note that Thrive clearly encourages false reviews and/or deletes honest frustration. After such a horrible interaction yesterday (despite many MANY reviews glowing about their 'stellar service'), I immediately revised my review and it was missing. But oh well, I'll continue to review and cross post. Customers rely on the honest feedback of others, and it's clear that Thrive's social media is 'over-managed' or 'manicured' with false reviews. SHAME. Here is my UPDATED review after such a disgraceful interaction: Left my review of Thrive Chiropractics at around 10 am, when I had my first break, on Yelp. My Yelp review was brief, but honest. Rather than CALL me first, the proprietor thought it was appropriate to save tail by replying via the YELP review first! Ugh! Full Story: I'm a full-time interpreter with chronic migraines. I've been searching for care for a while, and have done PLENTY of research. Thrive seemingly is liked by the community, so I called in need last Friday. As made clear by my message, I was in INCREDIBLE pain and did all the research, so asked for a same day appointment for the initial appointment, and the following Saturday for the first adjustment (since Thrive apparently refuses to do xrays & initial adjustment in the same appointment). The owner not only INCORRECTLY identified the requested date, then insinuated that I (like wtf?!) was lying because she was certain that her front of house (Taylor, apparently) HAD called me back on Friday. This shitty business decided to wait more than a week to contact me, and when they did, it was only to cover their own ass and rating. Disgusting. I've shared this business practice with my fellow asl interpreters, and have found another chiropractor who was INSANELY great (and saw me the SAME day, with XRays and Adjustments). Strongly recommend spending your dollars elsewhere.
