My insurance doesn't have a set fee, it's 20% of the charge. But when I went in they said my insurance portion would be 35.00 a session, upfront. I paid it every time until I got a statement from my insurance. OSS charged a different fee every time, and 20% of that never came near 35.00. I get that maybe the first time you go for evaluation and the last time you go for discharge, there may be a different fee. But every other time I did the same thing for the same amount of time. Anyway, when I contacted billing they were very nice and said I would get a refund about 3 weeks after my discharge. It was nearly 90.00 (I didn't pay for the last therapy session since I had a credit on my account), which was money I certainly could have used for the 2 months I had therapy. I expect I won't go back if I have to pay upfront again.

We exchanged contact information and she came to my home at 6pm for a 60min Deep Massage. Experience I am beyond happy with my experience, I requested to be focused on my upper back with the primary focus on my neck and shoulder. Marcela found the adhesion on my shoulder and worked it out as much as she can. At the same time she was loosening up the surrounding muscles since they were tensed. The whole time she would ask if the pressure was ok, and it was perfect. I felt so much relief from her massage, that when it was time to turnover (I was afraid because I was pre-empting the muscle spasm) I didn't feel any spasm and I knew right then that she practically healed me. She continued to focus on my neck and shoulder being careful not to cause anymore pain and would ask me to move my head to the left and right so she can massage (which I appreciated because I didn't want her to turn my head for me). Next Day As I write this the next morning, my neck and shoulder feels so much better. It's sore but not spasming out like it was all day yesterday until Marcela came over. Words can't express the relief I feel from yesterday. Chronic pain can really mess with one's mental health and yesterday I was not in the best place until Marcela came over. I exercise regularly (at least 5x/week with cardio and weight lifting), eat healthy, and stretch every morning and evening for at least 20-30min. I do my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. From now on, I'll be adding massage therapy every other week to help lessen injuries and buildup of adhesion in my muscles. Marcela will definitely be on my contact list as part of my overall health journey. They advertise on their website that they assist with bodily and work-related injuries, but they have stopped doing so because they don't get paid the way they want when dealing with L and I. I was told this directly by a team member when I called. It's unacceptable that the medical field prioritizes profit over patient care. I injured myself on the job through no fault of my own, yet I am being denied proper treatment. This is selfish and unjust.
