The guy was VERY rude when I was trying to make an appt for 2 pets, who would be new for them…read more They had no appts for anytime soon, and were booked until the end of August, which was understandable. I was completely willing to go ahead and book for then, just so we could get in. Everything was going fine until he asked who had groomed them before.....then the conversation went downhill quickly! Would NOT let me make an appt, even as far out as August seemingly because of, get this, who our past groomer was!!! Said lots of customers from that shop had suddenly been calling to try and get in "now", when they left his business before for her cheaper price! (Makes me wonder about HIS price!) Not the case with us at all....never had used them before. He also said that the past groomer ruined dogs, implying that this was the reason people wanted to return to him! The truth IS, which I informed him of, was that the other groomer was injured and has to have surgery immediately. She has had to temporarily had to close her shop for that reason. (We NEVER had any issues with her grooming. The dogs looked great and they LOVED her. She babied them to death and always got us in, even in a pinch.) I thought it was VERY unprofessional for him to speak about her the way he did, and very rude to basically refuse us service because we had used her before??! You really had to HEAR it to understand the coldness of it. I will NEVER call back for an appointment there! Turned me completely off before I even had a chance to see how they do!

In other words, he'd prefer a close, clean cut like my hubby's shaved head over the long, thick coat that he was graced with in order to withstand cold weather. In other words, it's miserable. I recently had extensive health issues hit, and my pup had to miss his regular grooming appointment. (Groomer couldn't fit him in for another six weeks or so.) We tried to make it, but The Scrapinator was miserable. I messaged Alison desperate for an appointment. She checked the calendar the next day, and then got Scrappy in the day after that. From head to toe, not only is Scrap more comfortable and resting better, but there was no judgment whatsoever from Alison. Just a simple, "No worries." We have his next appointment for March 18, the day before his 13th birthday. Thank you, Alison. Scrappy is rockin' his new look! On an added note: After reading the comment below, I can't help but wonder how matted the pup was. Scrappy was pretty matted. Considering he's never outside other than on a leash, it still happened. Considering that Alison DID have to go to the skin with our pup, he wasn't scratched whatsoever and very little abrasion. Thank you again, Alison.

Moni was so kind and gentle with Arthur and let me be there to comfort him the entire time. He was wagging his tail and was so happy when he left. Her facility is clean and calm with no other dogs or animals in the grooming facility so it feels peaceful and comfortable. If you have a fearful or reactive dog because of a bad grooming experience or for whatever reason. I highly recommend this groomer. She is an expert and just an all around amazing and kind human.
