Don't have your doodles groomed there. The more I look at my dogs the worse it gets. They nicked the nose on one of my dogs and it doesn't even look like they cut their nails maybe filed them but they were not cut. I was way over charged and will not go back. read more

We took our two long haired dachshunds to try out their self-service wash facility. We were very impressed. You enter into a full service pet shop. They have a full stock of items you would expect. They also have a buffet of items such as duck hearts, duck heads and pig ears. The owner was happy to explain the health benefits of each for the pups. The self service wash rooms are in the back. They have 3 separate, fully stocked wash rooms. Each was identically appointed. Since we had two pups, they brought us two extra towels (2 towels per dog). The room was very clean and organized. The wash tub is quite large (the only issue is they don't have the grates to raise small dogs up closer to you, but it was manageable). There is a ramp for big dogs and a locking door that opens to allow them access. There is an overhead bar with two harnesses to keep your dog secure during the wash. The spray nozzle has numerous spray and pressure options and full temperature range. The KONG ZoomGroom was a rubber soaping brush with cone shaped "bristles" that did an amazing job of soaping and deshedding our dogs. Our older one has very full hair and it took two handfuls of shed off of him, but the "bristles" were soft and soothing during use. When the wash is done, they have a jet dryer with a long hose for drying. The dryer has a knob to control the flow of air and a two level heat option for warm air. When our dogs walked out they were clean, dry and smelling great. We could not have been happier. read more

The owner is very rude, to say the least. I am desensitizing my newly adopted dog to baths, and today was my second visit to the store. An employee present at my first visit had encouraged me to come again and bring some business cards for my dog training service to my next visit, which I did. When I attempted to give some cards to an employee today, the business owner turned his back to me and rudely remarked, "You can't get your dog in the tub, and you want to give me your cards?" read more

I took my dog in for a groom. The groomer cut bottom edge of his eye. The mgr apologized and I didn't think anything of it. A week later the eye was infected and required medical attention. I called the mgr and he denied they ever injured my dog. They get done in an hour because they hurry and are careless. read more

I've brought two of my dogs here for about 2 years. I have a shih tzu who regularly needs groomed and we've come here every time. A couple visits ago they cut his leg, and said "he didn't even feel it" and took $5 off the service, I believe. It was small and just a red bruise so no big deal. Thought it was strange to offer only $5 for cutting my dog though. So I called a couple months ago to get him a haircut, they couldn't get me in until this week, the end of July. They were super busy from the summer apparently, so I got on a waiting list. Which surprise, they never called me, although I expected that. I get a call today, the week of his appointment, to say they're canceling his appointment due to staffing. No referrals, no options for what to do or where to go. This resulted in 16 different phone calls to different groomers and 2 hours of my day wasted trying to find a solution. He's already very overdue and can't even see, it's summer so all groomers are busy, and no one could get him in sooner than a week or two in august. He gets super fluffy and has been overheating in the sun even if he's only outside for a few minutes. He's sensitive around his face and his hair is very thick, so it's not an option for me to do it myself, even though I've tried again and again. Very disappointed in the treatment and making their issues their clients issues. Because of their own internal staffing and management, my sweet pup has to suffer even longer. read more

I'm never been a frequent customer of this store, I live to far out of town to get to the store, but maybe 6 or so times a year. Recently I rescued a lab mix from The CARE rescue in town and went over to this store to buy a crate for my new family member. I purchased a crate and bed to fit it but wasn't sure it would be a big enough size for my new dog. The associate was very helpful trying to guess what size a lab mix would be, lol. At check out she told me to pay with credit, that this would make it easier for me to return the crate later, because they do not give cash back on returns. I agreed seemed logical to me. Unfortunately Massey is way to big for a 36" crate and I called the store back the next day to tell them I would have to return the crate and the bed. They noted down my name and number and told me that would be fine. When I was finally able to make it into to town 2 weeks later I was told they didn't return crates and crate beds after so long. I assured the cashier I'd been told I could and she got the manager (or could have been the owner I'm not sure, she'd looked to be 50 with brown hair) for me. The manager explained that for sanitary reasons they could not return the crate or bed because they would not be able to resell it. I pointed out that I hadn't even opened the box it had been so obvious it was to small when I got it home and next to Massey. The manager persisted and I showed her that their store receipt said I even had 90 days to make the return (one of the reasons I was okay with purchasing the crate in the first place). At this point she shut me down saying they didn't return crates when peoples dogs out grew them. I'll admit I lost my cool at this point and told her that this wasn't the case and I'm a honest person. She heard me out smiled and said she was sure I was before turning and walking off to the employee only area. I left with my crate and very dissatisfied and I will not be returning to do business with them ever again. I hope other people read this review and decide to shop at other pet stores more in town. Do not trust this store you never know when they will change their policies to better suit themselves and help them make their all mighty dollar. read more

I've been going to this location for a year or two, and generally prefer them. Pros: - They carry Taste of the Wild dog food, which some of the bigger stores don't have. - Have the BEST selection of dog toys -super cute and unique stuff. - Lots of selection for beds and treats. Watch for their window sales for the best deals, as some of their beds are very expensive. They have a treat bar and coolers full of pet food and treats as well. It's just a fun place to browse. -The two groomers who handled my Shih Tzu were very friendly and did a fantastic job -she looked so cute! It was also only 35 dollars for a full groom, which is far cheaper than Petsmart. Cons: -They have just recently moved to this location, so there is a bit of disorganization; stuff being moved around the store and busy employees who may not be at the register at all times. read more

I refuse to give any more money to this business. Their staff is not only rude, but they are also quite condescending. I was in there recently to purchase a rawhide chew toy for my dog. I believe everyone has seen the "educational" memes going around expressing all of the dangers of rawhide chews. I've done ample research on the subject, my dog likes rawhide, and I have not personally had an issues with them. I've also gone over the pros/cons with my vet and I am comfortable, at this point, continuing to give them to my dog. While checking out, the woman at the register had to make it a point to ask me if I had "Googled" rawhide bones and was aware of the dangers. Umm, yes? Actually, I have. And if they are so dangerous, and if you need to preach that to every customer who buys one, then why do you carry these products in your store? Their prices are higher than anywhere in town and frankly I would rather shop somewhere that didn't require I stand through condescending lectures from the cashier about the dangers of a product that they sell in their store. read more

I found this place by chance and love it. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I take my Labernese in with me and they shower him with affection, as they do with any pets that come, and treats. The owners know their stock and they give suggestions on what may help with your needs. This is one of, or possibly only, locally owned pet store in town. The first time I came in here I had a terrible experience because the lady at the front counter is rude. She talks down to you as if you were a small child, a nuisance. But, I gave it a second chance. This time the moment I walked in, she was yelling at me for walking to the back through the wrong isle. (don't you dare go down any isle but the toy isle if you're dropping off your pet for grooming!...what was I thinking?!) Later, when I said 'thank you' she just sneered at me with no response. I like purchasing dog food, snacks, leashes, and toys from here to support local business. The girls who work there are knowledgeable and always help me find what I need. They have a biscuit bar with a decent selection and a sample tray so if you bring your pet they can find what they like. I purchased a crate here and while buying one online would have been cheaper I didn't have time to do that. I have not used the grooming service and don't plan to, there are other places in town that I like. And they're open until 8pm so I can still go after work if I'm out of treats or need another Lupine leash. read more

We walked in today to find a specific dietary supplement. They didn't have it, which is fine, but we didn't even make it more than a few steps in the door because the lady at the front immediately jumped to "help us". She showed us the minimal selection of supplements they had, which was conveniently in the front, but proceeded to insult us and the type of dog food we feed my very food sensitive dog, telling us "it's the lowest quality dog food they would even consider selling" which is crap. She was one of the rudest people I've met in a long time and we couldn't get out fast enough. In the conversation we had it was obvious she had no real knowledge of anything she talked about (from supplements, to food, to other stores) and repeatedly argued with us about information we had just received from multiple other sources. I have purchased items from this store about once a month for almost a year and until today had been treated with the respect and assistance and any customer should expect. They have a big selection of products but the attitude of the person that help me today who I had never seen before was what i would describe as anything but someone that should work in a pet store. I noticed on the door the sign about aggressive dogs not welcome and that not to use a flexi line in the store. I do understand and appreciate the need for caution. They also have an 8 1/2 x 11 paper on every shelf that holds toys for dogs... Please do not put on floor or allow a dog to mouth them which again just as the sign on the door should be a given to any pet owner. My dog went in with me today and as we shopped was quite and had no issues with any other animal in the store. We were in line and she was checking us out and another dog about the size of mine, about 12" tall and 11 lbs came in the door. My dog barked several times as did the other dog. They were neither behaving aggressive but was barking. Never got closer that 12 ft from each other. After my dog quit barking as the other dog just went out of site she said to me... if your dog is aggressive he needs to leave... I said he is not just a barker... she looked very stern and again said... if he is he needs to leave.... as i was ready to swipe my card and leave.... i told her to keep her stuff and i would not be back .
