All the poor reviews are for the previous owner so don't let the rating full you. Jon (the new…read moreowner) was extremely professional and his crew did an A+ job on my concrete pad for my detached garage. On time, professional, and Jon took his time to answer all questions during the entire process. I highly recommend for any concrete needs!

I issued a contract to Sam the Concrete Man on September 28th. The contract was for a 30' x 50'…read moreslab that I was installing a steel building. The price included concrete, grading and dirt work with fill. It was also a permitted job with Hamilton County. The compaction failed when tested. Jon the representative from Sam the Contract Man told me they do this work all the time and the Bobcat they use would compact the ground to 2000 pounds per square foot, which was the minimal requirement by the building manufacturer. However, that was not the case. Additional work and materials were needed to meet the alternate design of the footing to meet the recommendations of UES a company required to certify the compaction. All of which I was required to pay for at an additional $6500. Which was a 40% increase in cost. When pouring the concrete, the workers were not diligent in pulling up the wire mesh to keep it embedded in the concrete. When they left the site was a disaster with huge ruts left by the concrete trucks that I had to fix with my tractor. The last issue is schedule. Originally, they quoted a 4-week job. It wasn't completed until January 16th, or 16 weeks.
