Five stars, and the best concrete crew I've hired, by a wide margin…read more In the last four years I've had five different concrete crews do various projects on my property. Efrain Chavero and JMF Concrete are the best of them. This was a big job, roughly 1,000 linear feet, and it took more than a week. Throughout, Efrain was conscientious. He asked for my input instead of assuming, and he checked with me before working late because he didn't want to disturb the neighbors. At the end of each day, and when the job was done, he cleared every bit of debris and garbage from the site. His attention to detail is excellent. The work isn't just level and straight. He also got the finer points right, like the picture framing. He added wire mesh, rebar, and a deeper pour at the entrance so it would hold up to heavy trucks. He also doweled the new driveway into the existing slab to prevent shifting. None of that was required to make it look good on day one, but it's the kind of work that makes it last. He also turned away a cement truck because he wasn't satisfied with the quality of the load. Most contractors would have poured it and moved on. Efrain kept me informed the entire way, so I was never left guessing about progress or next steps. Finally, he stood by his quote. We hit solid stone that had to be jackhammered out, and he never once asked for more money. That kind of integrity is rare. If you need concrete work done right, call Efrain at JMF Concrete.
