We really wish I could recommend this company, but, unfortunately, we had a horrible experience…read more We signed a contract in December 2019 for an outdoor kitchen and living space. We originally wanted a pool but had to change plans due to some medical issues. The plan was to start no later than March and be finished before the rush. Of course, no one predicted the heavy rains that went on for weeks, Covid-19, or tornadoes. Taking all of those into consideration, we still were highly dissatisfied. Weeks went by with no communication between the contractor and ourselves. A crew would come and work half a day, say they would be back the next day, then we would not see them for 3-4 weeks. When we contacted Mr. Worley, we often were ignored or told that the crew would be here on a specific date and time but they wouldn't show. He finally told us that he had a big project refurbishing a public pool in RInggold and all his work was there. He also admitted that a sub-contractor had quit and he hadn't replaced him. During all this time, if Mr. Worley felt he was being questioned, he would be rude and sarcastic in his responses. Crews would leave trash, water bottles, and beer cans on the work site as well as tools and equipment, When they left equipment and extension cords plugged in, they (and we) assumed they would be back here soon, but, again, they might be gone for 3 or 4 weeks. We ended up cleaning up after them. The concrete is still a mess, though the job is "finished."We were told that the concrete was wavy in places because it was too wet when poured. We were assured that all would be fixed with an acid wash - which never happened. And now even more concrete has been spilled on the patio from the pour for the kitchen cabinet. The roof of the outdoor kitchen will have to be replaced because it was not installed properly. Mr. Worley did give us a $100 discount since we will be doing this work ourselves. He definitely would not use pictures of our project on his web page. The whole idea of the project was the outdoor kitchen - a grill and burners. Yet Mr. Worley could not provide them. His reason was that his contact was out and Mr. Worley could not use another seller. So we had to buy the equipment and have it shipped. Somehow, we had it all within 4 business days. On a positive note, the crew leader, Mr. Worley's son, was always polite and as informative as he could be, though he did not know the schedule. But he never promised anything he couldn't deliver and when he did promise something, it was taken care of. We often felt that since ours was not the most expensive project, we were put at the back of the schedule. We can't say if this is true, but it is how we felt. We cannot recommend Everclear Pool and Backyard to anyone.

On time, professional, and Jon took his time to answer all questions during the entire process. I highly recommend for any concrete needs!

I issued a contract to Sam the Concrete Man on September 28th. The contract was for a 30' x 50'…read moreslab that I was installing a steel building. The price included concrete, grading and dirt work with fill. It was also a permitted job with Hamilton County. The compaction failed when tested. Jon the representative from Sam the Contract Man told me they do this work all the time and the Bobcat they use would compact the ground to 2000 pounds per square foot, which was the minimal requirement by the building manufacturer. However, that was not the case. Additional work and materials were needed to meet the alternate design of the footing to meet the recommendations of UES a company required to certify the compaction. All of which I was required to pay for at an additional $6500. Which was a 40% increase in cost. When pouring the concrete, the workers were not diligent in pulling up the wire mesh to keep it embedded in the concrete. When they left the site was a disaster with huge ruts left by the concrete trucks that I had to fix with my tractor. The last issue is schedule. Originally, they quoted a 4-week job. It wasn't completed until January 16th, or 16 weeks.
