We rated all about animals 5 starts, but truly we would rate them much higher if we could. Our story: At 1:00 am we woke up in panic after seeing our 2 1/2 year old golden Retriever not able to move and barely breathing. We immediately rushed him to an ER, Emergency Center for Animals, that's only open after hours. That night at the ER they started our dog on Iv fluids because his heart rate jumped over 200 and they wanted to give him an X-Ray. They thought he must have ate a poison frog but they never tried to flush his stomach out. At 8:00 am the next morning we called All About Animals because the ER would soon be closing (as it is an over night facility only) we explained to All about Animals what happened and they told us to bring him right in. When we brought him at this time he was in critical condition. His heart rate was extremely high, he still wasn't able to walk and now he was bleeding internally and the blood was coming out of his stool very heavily. A few days later he was still not better and Dr Hughes wanted to run a few tests. She found that our dog was in heart and liver failure and felt he got into poison, possibly rat poison. At this point we felt there was no hope, but Dr Hughes encouraged us to stay strong. She said because he was healthy and young there was a possibility she could still save his life with proper care and medication. She started him on heart and liver medication and continued the his iv fluids, Dr Hughes was doing everything possible to save his life. A few days later we noticed our golden start to respond to the medication and us as well. His numbers were starting to look a little better and each day we noticed him getting stronger and stronger. A few days later we were able to bring him home again. He is still recovering at home, but without the knowledge and the fast actions of Dr Hughes our sweet golden Retriever would not have made it. Many days we walked in crying thinking no way he is going to survive this, but thanks to the care he received at All About Animals he did. We also wanted to thank her staff for the love, support and the extra special care he received. Please don't take your sick animals here! I rescued a cat on Tuesday with an obvious infection, immune system compromised, this vet gave him his full round of shots and almost killed him. He spiked a 104 fever and he almost died! Really incompetent lady vet. Save your pet from suffering and go somewhere else. read more

I had my kitten in to get a surgery on her tail. She was sent home the next night with sutures on her tail and no cone to keep her from messing with it. The technician told my husband she didn't need one because she wasn't messing with it there. And if we need one go buy one at Walmart, that is unacceptable! So of course what happens when she got home, she would stop messing with her tail. Within 2 hours of her being home she busted her sutures open and her tail was bleeding everywhere. At this time it was after 9 pm so Petsmart was closed and Walmart does not sell those cones. So I had to take her to Fetch emergency center to have her tail sutured back up and had to pay over $200 for that when I just paid over $300 to do this surgery! A cone should have been included in that and sent home with her. This is 100% negligence on their part for not providing that and I should not be responsible for this ER bill! I tried multiple times to contact the dr to tell her my concerns and demand I get reimbursed for that ER bill and she does not have the decency to return my call. The secretary or whoever I initially spoke to about this kept trying to justify it like it was our fault this happened. They said the technician sent home the care sheet with my husband and it says on there a cone is highly recommended. ARE YOU SERIOUS! We knew it was needed, we didn't choose not to put one on her we didn't have one given to us! We paid over $300 for a surgery a cone should of been on her when she came home! The fact that no one is returning my call over this matter is unacceptable. She also was not sent home with any kind of pain meds to help if she was in pain, she was just sent home like no big deal she just had half her tail cut off with no cone and they really thought a kitten would not mess with her tail! I stopped taking my dog here a few years ago, he didn't like hearing other dogs crying and whimpering in the background. I take him to TLC Pet Snips. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's dog is a big baby when it comes to getting his nails trimmed and TLC Pet Snips does not do sedation. Brought his dog here in April. Was told it would be $46.30. After I paid that and they were bringing our dog up, I was told we had to pay another $45 for 'initial visit' as he had not been there before. We were told later that day we would receive a credit. We took his dog here again today for nail trim/sedation and was told the charge would be $91.30. That the $45 charge is for an exam to make sure he could be sedated. I asked to see the Doctor or Tech in person when I picked him up and they simply relayed the info to the receptionist. I told the receptionist to pass the word that they lost another customer ~ not that they care. They need to be upfront and honest about their fees. This is ridiculous. **Update** Received a voice mail message in response to our review. They advised because Dr Gonzalez saw him this time instead of Dr Hughes, they had to charge the additional $45 ~ whatever. There is a patient folder on our dog from our previous visit. Checking his vitals should be included in the charge for sedation. They wanted to make it right by giving him a free bath on his next visit. Not worth it, still not taking him back there. read more

Wish I could give negative 0 stars. I took an injured dog to this so called vet. Waited 3 hours with no air in the building. 5 pm came and was told the vet was going home. She never came out to see me or the poor dog. I have never have had such a heartless experience with a vet that is supposed to love animals. all about animals was in the perfect location, walking distance from the house!! we made an appt with a very helpful front desk gentlemen named James, filled out our paperwork and made an appt for that fri. we walked in fri and were greeted with a scowl from the front desk person, not james.... she could barely bring herself to look at us. ok, so she gives me the same paperwork to fill out, I tell her we've already filled it out, she gives a cursory glance at some folders on the desk and tells me can't find it. so I start filling g it out again, then James comes around the corner, thankfully, and after some time finds the paperwork. so we get into the exam room 20 mins past our appt time and proceed to wait in an un conditioned room for an hour, UNTIL THE VET ARRIVED. seriouy?? I ended up calling another vet and made an appt for the afternoon with them and promptly left all about animals. note: as we were walking out the vet walked in and she did seem like a nice person but we were already on the way out. read more

I have been going to this vet for over 12 years. Recently I took in my 12 year old dashund, Dr. Gonzalez was there, he hurt my dog twice, did not check his ears, or his heart murmur, then I was charged $119.75 for a dog I fostered (and no longer have) for shots given by Dr. Hughes who was not even there that day. I have tried repeatedly to get a refund for the overcharge to no avail. I will NEVER go to All About Animals again. And I am still waiting on my refund. VW read more

I have been bringing my Dog to All About Animals for 11 years. I absolutely love Dr. Liz she is very thorough and took the time to diagnosis my ridgeback and treat him. I now live an hour away and still only bring my dog to them. The hospital had to move with the road construction and they went into a smaller building but the new building should be open soon. I also really like that they can fill the prescriptions on the spot. I love my dog so much and I am so thankful he is well! read more

The woman who is the vet at this clinic has the worst people skills of any medical professional I have ever dealt with in my many years on this earth. I paid her to examine my old dog and tell me if I should have him put down. Without even looking at or touching the animal, she proceeds to try to make me feel worse than I already do because I can't spend alot of money trying to save an old dog. I am retired and living on a fixed income. Stay clear of this vet, she only cares about making money. She made a horrible situation much worse, no empathy AT ALL.... read more

WARNING!!! If you care about your beloved Animals DO NOT take them to All About Animals, Dr. Hughes is a murderer!!! Yes, I said murderer. Took my 3yr old dog to her office HEALTHY and normal with no issues for a simple spay. They kept her for 2 days in a kennel without even performing the surgery on the 3rd day they performed the surgery, still never received a call about the out come of the surgery or my dogs condition. I took it upon my self to call and call and call until finally they answered and said I may pick up my dog. Upon returning home my dog seemed beat, I figured pain and uncomfortableness was expected after a surgery. 4 days after the surgery my dog became violently ill vomiting and crying I took her back to the vet where they then took her in the back for 45 mins the whole time I can hear her crying. The Vet Dr.Huges then proceeded to tell me it was going to cost 700$ to save my dogs life. When I have already spent 800 at this clinic in the last 5 days. I said NO and demanded to have my dog back, the employees then denied me my dog so I then went in the back and grabbed her off the table and rushed her to an emergency clinic. The staff at the emergency clinic informed me that my dog had a serious tetanus infection due to her surgery at the previous vet ALL ABOUT ANIMALS. The only decision I had was to put her down she was in a great deal of pain and in full lockjaw. All About Animals clinic and Dr.Hughes not only tried to extort me for more money they also Murdered my best friend. PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE! read more

Awful, I was told that my dogs stitches were desolvable and not to worry about it but they did not desolve. I had to cut them out myself and I think because the stitches were left in so long, now the area looks funky. I'm going to have to take her to her regular vet now... I only took her to All about animals because I had a $10 voucher to get her spayed....So I guess I got what I paid for....also they forgot to give me her blanket when I picked her up and the front desk people weren't very knowledgeable. They couldn't find the right paperwork for me to fill out. My experience last time with my other dog wasn't much better. I will never go there again. read more

I would not recommend this Vet to anyone. After taking our little girl there for regular shots and see why she was losing weight we were told it was worms. We bought the recommended heartguard and went home. After a month of no improvement and falling appetite we made an appointment to return. We're then told it was serious and she needed to stay for at least 3 days for treatment. She was full of life when we dropped her off, visited her that night and she was almost lifeless. We brought her home the next day and she died the next day. I wish I'd have had enough brains to take her somewhere else, we probably would still have our little princess. read more
