It brings back memories of my tutu-and-pink-satin ribbon-inspired Cindy Ballerina childhood - the smell of new leather bloch shoes, the body forming leotards that will soak up your blood, sweat and tears for that year, those cute little bun-holders that look like they were knit by someone's grandma. Even the way the store's clothing - skirts, leggings, tops, leotards - gets lined up together, with little girls' 6X to grown woman's XL in ascending order - from miniature to big-people sizes - is adorably cute and pulls at my ex-dancer's heart strings. Tap shoes, flamenco shoes, pointe, jazz boots, ballet slipper - I've owned them and they've got'em. What amazed me was that the prices here - compared with what Lululemon typically charges for yoga wick wear - are WAY less. And I'm a yogi. I LOVE Lululemon... but, honestly, I'm thinking the next time I'm in the market for a pair of stretchy pants or a cute top I might just head over to Adajio. Where you'd pay upwards of $90 for a pair of yoga pants at Lulu, here they're $55. Tops are under $40. At Lulu - $60. Lulu's dance-wear line is easily 20-30% more expensive than at this dance shop. And from what I remember, that's a good thing, because dance classes aren't cheap - especially if you're dancing four or five days a week. Mom would have had a heart attack trying to find more ways to pinch and save to pay for my rec dance addiction, if Lululemon were on the scene, back, uh, .. in 1987! Now I'm older and wiser, and I don't look as svelte in a leotard but, man, do I ever get the meaning, now, of that timeless adage: "Dance like no one's watching."

They have a great reputation and a lot of people from our studio goes there. It is small and crowded with stock at this time of year. I think because they make sure to order lots of stock. It also gets busy after school and on Saturdays in August and Sept. especially 2nd week of Sept - October. I think this is because a lot of parents leave it to the VERY LAST minute. So I was prepared to be patient and save Lots of time so I won't be late for my daughters class. Also, they do not have a public washroom so use the mall bathroom before you go in. But with all the extra staff I had a great experience.

The place sells…read morecamping gear, clothes, and equipment like sportschek but has more outdoor equipment than sports gear. The atmosphere to me has this cabin color vibes which feels nice. I was surprised they sell the car attachment tent structures because I've been looking at these online. It's good to see them in person to see if it's actually the fit you'd like to use. Lots of staff nearby to help which is great. Parking here is very small for a large shop. However, I'm not sure many people are aware of this store. This would definitely be a store I'd come to if I couldn't find gear and equipment near my retail stores. Recommended for anyone looking to get camping, hiking, or outdoor gear.

Prices are high, like all other outdoor stores in Edmonton (seriously, what is with that?) but the service cannot be beat. Don't get me wrong. I also like M.E.C. & Cabela's but the attention to detail and customer assistance at Campers Billage cannot be beat! Whether you're looking for some base layer clothing or the perfect cast iron pan/griddle, you will find it here! I really like their children's section for winter wear & mitts (though my heart belongs to Cabela's for their waterproof Muck boots). This is also my family's go to store for great quality waterproof sandals. The hubs & I just picked up a pair each of Keen'a covered toe sandals for our trips this summer. Dave (in shoes) couldn't have been more helpful or knowledgeable. If you've ever show shopped at Nordstrom's in the states, Dave is that quality of a salesperson. See you soon Camper's Village (well, as soon as my wallet lets me).
