My feet don't have a lot of tread left on them, so good brands are more than just a treat to me. The frosting on the cake (or the pedicure), though, is the wonderfully helpful staff, who happily brought out pair after pair for me to try, and really listened to what I needed and made thoughtful suggestions. Too often shoe stores now consist of mostly DIY, which I find limits both my knowledge and patience in choosing the best shoe for me. The store I located in the St. Albert Centre and is clean with nice displays. They let me in on a great tip - check out the web site, www.quarkshoes.com, to see "what's coming," discover coupons (yay!), and their full line of outdoor clothing, as well as sales and contests. You can also submit your email address and get all the latest news flashes from the company. Two toes up for Quarks!

Rude staff, lack of care and dirty displays…read more I came in to purchase some white shirts for work, and the shirt I picked up off the shelf was covered in dust. I brought this to the attention of the associate present (3135575) And she presented a cavalier attitude about the cleanliness of the store. I asked the associate if she could get a clean one from the back while I was at the till. She went and grabbed the wrong shirt from the back. Now, not only did I receive a rude, unprofessional experience, I will now have to go back to this store to get an exchange for the wrong product. Steer clear of this Banana Republic. the Airport location is a better alternaitive.

So I don't know about you, but I hate dressing up. I was invited to a weeding and being the…read moreprocrastinator that I am I left everything to the last minute. I had to find a dress pronto! I'm not a toothpick, meaning I got some meat on my bones. I hate trying to find a dress that will make all my unflattering parts look flattering. My sister-in-law said she travelled up and down West Edmonton Mall looking at dresses but found nothing until she got to Laura (Petites and Plus). She said she found a dress that fit her (she's a little more plus than I am) so I felt like I had nothing to loose. I didn't want to spend too much money for a dress I might only wear once. I was looking around and I must have had a desperate, deer caught in the headlights look, because this really nice saleswoman empathetically asked me if I needed help. She helped me pick out dresses that she thought would suit my body size and form. She ran to find sizes for me when the plus sizes were too big. She even helped zip me up! Then she found me one dress... it was the dress. I saw it and new that this was the one. I tried it on and I was right. The dress was comfortable for one thing, black and sexy for another thing. The price was not as bad as I thought it was going to. It was less than $200.00 and considering how comfortable it was and how nice but simple it looked I could see myself wearing it for non-weeding occasions. The great saleswoman made my day by helping me out and then letting me know that I fit into a non plus size dress and that I looked great!

She kept insisting it was her decision to decline the exchange, although the receipt clearly states store credit or exchange past 30 days. I wasn't mad until she decided to answer the phone whilst I was explaining I already knew the terms of returns and exchanges. If the area team reads this message, I strongly recommend you connect with her on how to appropriately address customer complaints and maybe let her read the back of the receipt so she knows what hill to make a stand on. Absolutely abhorrent service.

I wear plus size clothes (usually 16-18 depending on the store and brand) and like a lot of stores…read more(see my review for Simons) I didn't think H&M had a plus size section. Apparently they do, and my friend and I went to the H&M in West Ed because we figured the store and selection would be better than South Common. There isn't a huge selection of plus size clothes, but there is a bit, and H&M always has nice basics and trendy pieces too. One thing I love about H&M, no matter what dress size you might be, is the accessories. There are a lot of fun jewellery, purses, scarves, etc and the prices being pretty low it's pretty easy to go overboard and buy quite a bit. Of course the prices being so low this isn't exactly high quality long lasting items, but I tend to break, lose, rip, tear, etc. any accessories I get anyway so spending $12 on a scarf that I'll eventually lose at H&M seems better than spending $100 for a high-end scarf somewhere else. Aside from clothes and accessories the other thing H&M has that I didn't realize they carried are home decor products. This section isn't as big as the regular clothing and accessory section, but there are a variety of fun home decor items you can get, from bedspreads to aprons. West Ed isn't a place I particualrly like to go to, but if I'm here I'll check out H&M again.
