As a courtesy I sent my insurance information to her, and for 16 days heard nothing back. Finally, 3/23/2023 I called again and spoke to Ana who in a passive aggressive way said they wouldn't call the insurance company. I finally asked for the office manager to call me back, and she did an hour later; she said once I had the consultation they would do a predetermination of cost. As a potential client why would I involve myself further in the process if you aren't able to confirm with insurance on coverage? Also, why are you as office managers and staff employed if you aren't able to facilitate new business? I called you, you literally paid nothing for this lead and I'm insured. This dentist is probably amazing but the staff in the office needs to be better.

After coming home I realized what happened I was so upset that an important part of my smile that hold a cultural significance is completely wiped. The doctor insists that this is not an intentional lightening of my gum although they clearly said to me that they've "removed some hyperpigmentation" but also they never mentioned in my consultation that this was a possibility nor was it indicated in the consent form. I consulted with a different periodontist after the fact and after reviewing my consent form, that makes no mention of lighter gum as an outcome of a crown lengthening, they suspect that this may have been done, because to some, a lighter gum is "aesthetically preferred". Gum lightening maybe the "in thing" to do right now but I absolutely didn't consent to it. In fact I hate my results so much that I wish I never altered my original smile. I recommend anyone who wouldn't want alterations to their smile on a whim of a doctor to avoid this place.

Every time I've been to his office, the staff treats me with kindness and genuine warmth, a rarity nowadays. Dr Glover has a real passion for his work and it shows, so much so it's quite contagious. His staff reflects this in their client-oriented approach and empathic attitudes. Not surprisingly, I learned he hosts a voluntary weekly learning/teaching meeting with others in the field and has been awarded by "D" magazine many times as the best periodontic dentist in Dallas. He and his team (the whole practice to be honest) were all first class. The surgery (while stressful since I am a worrier) and recovery were a breeze. At each point in the process I felt looked after, cared for, and informed. In the end, the most painful part of the process was the IV stick and the food restrictions, but that's par for the course with mouth surgery!

So I called Kessler Park Dental and they told me there that this was something they could do if i so desired ? So I thought, well they performed a write up on cost on paper with a 500 dollar charge for there so called preferred pricing and another 35,000 for the saving of these teeth that's if there were no other issues (yea right). I made it clear I wanted dentures and asked the dentist he tells me that he felt uncomfortable pulling in his words "teeth that can be saved "? Its very plain to me that this set up is very capitalized in a money making machine. Never mind what the patient wants. A few weeks later I had a crown come off and called them to put it back on. Went in, they said the tooth needed to be removed. And guess what, I asked to remove the tooth I was told they did not do extractions there, WAIT A MINUTE. They lied to me, denture service includes extractions, he decided to do nothing at all sends me up front for a referral for an oral surgeon. Clear across the other side of Dallas. And charges me 147 dollars for doing nothing. And to top it off I had to find my crown on a table I guess they thought they were going to keep it.
