I got quotes from 3 garage door companies for the repair. The first two companies said my garage door (a Wayne Dalton) was discontinued so they could not get parts. So, they could only quote me for a new door, (@$3,000) which of course, would not match my two other doors. Lavi of Lavish garage door service (named after his grandmother) came to give me a quote. He told me he might be able to get the parts from Wayne Dalton as he had a special relationship with them. He contacted them and they fabricated the two door panels to perfectly match my door. The doors were shipped to their faculty in Orlando so he had to drive there to pick them up. He said that would not be an extra charge for the pickup. I was so pleased to get the repair done at considerably less cost with a repaired door that perfectly matched my current garage doors. The price was well below the competitor that I had had out earlier. Scott showed up the following morning, bright and early, and completed the work in less than 3 hours. About a year later and several king tides and a bigger storm the cable had rusted. They then told me there was a stainless steel cable that was a new product. What nonsense. They could have changed it the first time to stainless steel and told me the difference in the costs. Again what nonsense. Charged me $600 to change to stainless steel so the cable's would not rust. I felt that because I was a female they took advantage. Stainless Steel Cables cost at max $35.

They also replaced a bad bearing, and noticed, after they had matched my existing spring and put in the exact replacement, that the previous installer had used the wrong spring! So they calculated the exact spring I needed, and took out the new one they had just put in and put in a new one of the correct size. They also lubricated both the single door, and also my double garage door right next to it, so they are all operating quietly and efficiently now. I contacted LDS on a Friday afternoon about an intermittent issue plaguing my garage door. Monday morning, as promised, Jacob arrived to listen to my issue and perform a complete inspection of my system. He made recommendations of repairs with several price points. He corrected my specific issue and replaced all the rollers on the door to help eliminate any future issues. Completely lubricated the entire setup, adjust tensioners, etc. Not only is my garage door now operating better, but it is also much quieter. All for a reasonable cost and warranty.
