I got quotes from 3 garage door companies for the repair. The first two companies said my garage door (a Wayne Dalton) was discontinued so they could not get parts. So, they could only quote me for a new door, (@$3,000) which of course, would not match my two other doors. Lavi of Lavish garage door service (named after his grandmother) came to give me a quote. He told me he might be able to get the parts from Wayne Dalton as he had a special relationship with them. He contacted them and they fabricated the two door panels to perfectly match my door. The doors were shipped to their faculty in Orlando so he had to drive there to pick them up. He said that would not be an extra charge for the pickup. I was so pleased to get the repair done at considerably less cost with a repaired door that perfectly matched my current garage doors. He stopped by an hour later assessed and the issues with my garage door within a few minutes. My technician, Scott I found to be an amazing gentleman with gentle charm and quick wit. To me to have a person such as Scott in your orbit, let alone your employ, I would say you are blessed. Steve advised me he would come back the following day and complete the work. The price was well below the competitor that I had had out earlier. Scott showed up the following morning, bright and early, and completed the work in less than 3 hours. I give this five-star review not only for Scott, when I first called Melissa was very sweet on the phone and was extremely helpful. So my advice is, as long as they have these two employees, it's five star all the way. But when they fixed my garage door which needed new wiring so it could be raised and lowered they used regular cable. About a year later and several king tides and a bigger storm the cable had rusted. They then told me there was a stainless steel cable that was a new product. What nonsense. They could have changed it the first time to stainless steel and told me the difference in the costs. Again what nonsense. Charged me $600 to change to stainless steel so the cable's would not rust. I felt that because I was a female they took advantage. Stainless Steel Cables cost at max $35.

They also replaced a bad bearing, and noticed, after they had matched my existing spring and put in the exact replacement, that the previous installer had used the wrong spring! So they calculated the exact spring I needed, and took out the new one they had just put in and put in a new one of the correct size. They also lubricated both the single door, and also my double garage door right next to it, so they are all operating quietly and efficiently now.
