My honest review after Lavish's garage door service. He…read moresaid, he's providing the best service but after his service, my opener motor burnt out because the garage door was not balanced after he placed the new springs. I paid a lot for the new springs and his service but now after 2 months, my garage door motor is not working. When I try to lift the door, door is so heavy. It's like lifting 100 pound weight. Now I ordered a new opener that I spent more than $500 with installation. There were two more things that he asked me to spend the money. 1. Rail connector was broken and he asked me to replace the whole rail but I found the connector part only from Amazon with $8 - he said the rail is about $150 and service is about $160. 2. Rubber part at the bottom of the garage door - he said that the rubber is too old model and cannot find the old part from the market. So, need to replace the whole part including rubber housing and rubber. But I found the rubber only with less than $10. I'm an Engineer and know how to fix lots of things. But for the Garage door, I hired the expert because of safety issue. But the service I've got was terrible and now I have to spend lots of more money. Update: I had another technician came out from Low's and he told me that the springs are not the right size and he cannot install the new Garage door which cost another $500+ including installation because the springs will break the new garage door opener again. To me to have a person such as Scott in your orbit, let alone your employ, I would say you are blessed. Steve advised me he would come back the following day and complete the work. The price was well below the competitor that I had had out earlier. Scott showed up the following morning, bright and early, and completed the work in less than 3 hours. I give this five-star review not only for Scott, when I first called Melissa was very sweet on the phone and was extremely helpful. About a year later and several king tides and a bigger storm the cable had rusted. They then told me there was a stainless steel cable that was a new product. What nonsense. They could have changed it the first time to stainless steel and told me the difference in the costs. Again what nonsense. Charged me $600 to change to stainless steel so the cable's would not rust. I felt that because I was a female they took advantage. Stainless Steel Cables cost at max $35.

They also replaced a bad bearing, and noticed, after they had matched my existing spring and put in the exact replacement, that the previous installer had used the wrong spring! So they calculated the exact spring I needed, and took out the new one they had just put in and put in a new one of the correct size. They also lubricated both the single door, and also my double garage door right next to it, so they are all operating quietly and efficiently now. I contacted LDS on a Friday afternoon about an intermittent issue plaguing my garage door. Monday morning, as promised, Jacob arrived to listen to my issue and perform a complete inspection of my system. He made recommendations of repairs with several price points. He corrected my specific issue and replaced all the rollers on the door to help eliminate any future issues.
