Wow, where to begin. I recently moved to St Louis and was in search of a Thai massage - which can be pretty hard to find in the US in general - and stumbled upon ALIGN. The space is beautiful, well-appointed, and relaxing. My massage with Danni was exceptional. Having spent some time in Thailand a few years ago, I feel that I can speak to the authenticity and quality of a Thai massage (to a certain extent). Damn. Danni has a calming and grounded presence and knows her craft. She's very communicative and receptive to feedback, even just feedback from the body itself. If you're new to Thai massage, it is similar to an extended yoga assist/assisted stretching/manipulation of the body/strong focused pressure. Unlike other forms of massage, you are clothed - so wear loose or flexible clothing (think workout/yoga class) - and laying on the floor. The music is peaceful and the right volume. I will be back again for more, and am looking forward to trying some yoga here as well! read more

I've been coming to Align for massage for over a year now, and I could not be happier with with my experiences there. Kimberly is my massage therapist. She is one of those people who, when you are in her presence, you can not help but feel relaxed, content, and at peace. The whole place reflects that same vibe, from the welcoming entrance, to the spacious yoga rooms, to the private massage rooms - everything is well-appointed, organized, purposeful, and spotless. Clearly, Kimberly and the rest of the Align crew take great pride in what they do. I have significant lower back and shoulder problems, and Kimberly very carefully has addressed these issues in our sessions. Each session has been wonderful, but I must say, my latest session last week was the best! My lower back had been giving me fits for about 3 weeks. Kimberly hit all the right spots, and since my last session, my lower back pain has been reduced by about 80%. I have slept better in the past week than I have in months! Amazing. Now, Kimberly travels a lot and it may be hard to get an appointment with her, but the other massage therapists at Align are, no doubt, incredible, also. I get the impression that they make sure that their therapists are the best of the best. You really can't go wrong at Align. Definitely a hidden gem! Align is tucked away in the Shaw neighborhood and could be easily missed if you aren't paying attention. I booked a 75 minute massage for my first visit and Tonica was my therapist. The studio was warm and inviting and Tonica greeted me on arrival and went over any body area concerns and my goal for the session. The bed was warmed for comfort and heated neck and eye wraps were used with my permission. The heated neck wrap was such a nice touch when I was laying on my back! Tonica had a great medium pressure and she checked in during the massage to ensure it was the correct amount. Really appreciate when the therapist checks in during the massage. After the session, she checked in on my tender shoulder and recommended some mobility work that could benefit my tightness. My goal for this session was simply to relax but I will definitely come back when I am ready for a more therapeutic session! read more

This was an amazing experience! Tonica gets 7/5 stars for sure - she was so friendly, welcoming, and then on top of that.. gave an AMAZING massage. I've been looking for a new spot to do yoga now that I'm a little more comfortable with the pandemic, and a friend recommended Align. It's 5 minutes from my house, so I figured I would give it a try. The Sunday morning class at 10AM is perfect because it's free, gives you a taste of the studio and whether you'll like the style or not. I obviously did, and signed up for a monthly membership. I've been going the last two weeks, and I'm in love. I really look forward to every class. They have a ton of options, mostly tailored to working people, so fitting it into my schedule is so easy. The studio is so clean, welcoming, with TONS of natural light. Weekend mornings are amazing because you can hear all the birds chirping while you're practicing. I've had classes with Kim, Dani, and Bridget, and omg, they're all amazing. Each have their own unique styles - not to be bias, but personally, Bridget's classes are right up my alley. I'm a member now, so I'll obviously be back a lot, but highly recommend if you're looking for a new yoga studio. I got my parents a gift card for Align about two Christmas's ago! Of course they forgot about it until about one month ago when I reminded them so thank goodness the gift cards do not expire! I emailed Kimberly to make sure they could be booked at the same time and she responded immediately and was very accommodating. The appointment was last Friday and my parents are still talking about how great their massages were. It was my mom's first ever massage and she is already talking about booking her next massage with Amy! My dad typically has chronic back pain, but since his massage with Tonica has said this is the best his back has felt in years! Their only complaint was that they didn't book a longer massage! The wellness industry can sometimes feel daunting to those who are new to it or may feel "other" for any reason (race/age/weight/ability) so it was super important to me that my black dad and Korean mom felt welcome and respected. I went here when visiting my sister. I was in desperate need of relaxation. I booked a massage and a restorative yoga class back to back. (In hindsight I would have booked the massage last.) From the minute I entered the studio I felt the stress start melting away. The massage was amazing!!! The class was also amazing. I am new to yoga with a lot of joint issues so I was a little apprehensive. I got so much attention from the instructor Kim. She helped me to adapt- use different pieces and made me feel entirely comfortable when I thought the only pose I could do was on my back turtle struggling. This was such an amazing experience. Had a fantastic 90min deep tissue massage with Danni! She spent a few minutes before asking me questions to get to know my needs, and then helped me to relax right away.
