Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses generally cannot deny access to individuals with disabilities accompanied by service animals or demand medical documentation. The way I was treated was unacceptable and showed a serious lack of understanding of disability rights. No one should have to endure humiliation, discrimination, or harassment simply for using a service animal. I expect businesses to treat all customers with dignity and respect, regardless of their disability. I intend to file a formal complaint with the appropriate authorities regarding this incident.
