Working with Dr. Cobbs during a really scary medical event made the process so much more bearable!…read moreHe is kind, listens well, explains things simply, and made time to answer myself and my family's questions. Not only did he do a great job on my craniotomy (no small feat!), he made me feel human and was so compassionate. I cannot recommend him and his team enough! After surgery he explained well what happened and his office answered my questions quickly via MyChart. No one else I'd trust with my actual brain! And the research work he does is incredibly inspiring, going above simply working with patients to advance care for others. Thank you Dr. Cobbs and team!

Dr Cobbs is supposed to be a brain tumor expert. His first question was "So why are you here to see…read moreme today?" He didn't pick up on my sarcasm, when I chuckled, told him it was a worry when a specialist doesn't know why a patient is there to see them, then I said, "Well, we could start with the brain tumor." He told me that my chronic headaches, which sometimes feel like my eye is being pushed out, was unrelated to my tumor, that my vision changes were unrelated to my tumor, the frontal lobe where my brain tumor is has nothing to do with higher level math or communication. He told me that he could be 100% certain it was a benign meningioma from imaging. He said he could be certain the other tumors were unrelated: three breast tumors with discordant pathology/radiology, a contrast enhanced extradural spinal mass, and Drs trying to determine if I have a single adrenal tumor or bilateral, and others. He didn't ask me about any other symptoms - such as the toe twitching that recently started. My husband started worrying when he started to repeatedly beat me at Carcassonne, which used to be 1/6 games. My son thought the tumor explained some of my personality changes. The worst, Dr Cobbs claimed that 10% of all women have this type of brain tumor! My husband joined us (via FB messenger). Afterwards, he said, "Did he just say that 10% of all women have meningioma brain tumors? I'll have to look that up." Both my husband and I have done scientific research. I even wrote to Dr Cobbs to make sure we got his message right (attached). In the communication, he then said that higher level math was in the area of concern. I'm an applied mathematician. Women beware!!!!

The first time, during the office hours (I did check), the message was just, the office is not open. Then, I called and waited on hold for 18 minutes. When the phone was answered, some one just said 'hello'- nothing else, odd, but I said, I need to schedule and appointment. I was asked if I was seen there before, no, I had a consult at the ER and a referral. Then I was hung up on. I called a 3rd time. It was clear that I was a hassle to them. After several questions about when and who referred me, and a lot of complete dead air that sounded like I was hung up on. I had to ask 'hello, is anyone there? hello?' I was finally given an appointment. I don't know if it is a phone issue, or a problem with the internal referral system, but when you are feeling horrible already, this was not a good introduction to the office.

My mom has…read morebeen a longtime patient of this practice (under another doctor) and had a medical emergency. Her neurological condition is causing complications and she needed an emergency change in medication (that had to be prescribed by a neurologist) to keep her from tremors so bad she couldn't push the button help and was trapped in her rehab bed. Dr. Goldstein answered the on-call message and was extremely rude; annoyed that I bothered her at 8:30pm on a Sunday night when she was getting ready for bed. Umm, it was an emergency and she's ON CALL. If that's an issue, maybe don't choose a profession that interrupts your sleep! Needless to say, she told me to call during normal business hours and passed it off to another doctor on call, who was not able to help and my mom suffered in pain all night. I do not recommend Dr. Goldstein at all for her poor patient skills and uncaring attitude toward a patient in pain

The worst bro the worst. I started coming here in 2018 -at eighteen years old- for NDPH and…read morehonestly it's the best place to go for your hope to die. No suggestions of treatments beyond medications. If you really want help you have to do all of your own research and come in with requests and reasons, and a concerned family member so that they know that there are people who care about you and need to see you better. Honestly they have done so much to worsen my condition. After seeing them for a couple years a really lost all hope in any medical professional and I just had no idea of any other resources open to me. Unfortunately I'm seeing them again at the moment because they are the neurologists who could get me in the soonest. I will be seeing a dedicated headache clinic ASAP and transferring to a different neurologist as well. I'm seeing Dr. Fischel at the moment and his assistant has literally not answered the phone or returned a call once over the past several months, and Dr Fischel himself always looks like he's slept 2 hours and has no treatment ideas and really doesn't even seem to care that I am in constant pain. Zero urgency, zero ability to even fulfill the most basic tasks. Could not be bothered to look into treatments or other clinics. Go figure. I always feel worse after going here which is saying a lot. I would rather have no neurologist than them but unfortunately it just looks better on paper for other doctors for me to have one.

Look for Complex Autonomic Center in Mountlake Terrace - that's his new practice, and if you have records from this place, they will release them over to him upon authentication. Hands down, this Kirkland practice is the worst ran medical office I have ever encountered. I've worked in medical offices before, and I would have been ashamed to work here. Zero follow up, gatekeeping access to the doctor, not returning calls for weeks. Don't go there, just follow Dr Armitano to his new place.

Whatever their qualifications are to be seen, i'm not sure what else I needed. As for the quality of their service I can't say, but they could work on communication for sure.

I was told by another highly respected spinal surgeon that I could become paralyzed in both arms and not be able to feed myself soon because of the severe narrowing of my cervical spinal canal and I would need to undergo a posterior approach 4 level cervical fusion surgery which is extremely painful and difficult on the patient. He also stated that only a two level fusion could be done from an anterior approach. It took a couple of months to get a second opinion appointment with Dr. Oskouian but very well worth the wait. He did some additional tests and told me he could do a 3 level fusion from an anterior approach and this should help my current symptoms and prevent further deterioration. I decided to have Rod do the surgery and have been extremely happy with the results. I am 4 1/2 months out from surgery and doing amazingly well. A friend saw him a couple of years ago with a much less acute issue & he told her there was a chance it could resolve on it own without surgery and if she eventually did require surgery, she didn't need his skill level. She was very impressed. I am an example of someone who had a major spinal problem and he is the expert I needed!
