They did order X-ray and mri, but didn't offer anything for pain or mobility as my condition was worsening after I returned to work. I did ask for something so that I wouldn't continue to have problems, but staying ahead of pain wasn't in their best interest. A week later, I ended up in the hospital for two days trying to get back spasms under control so I could actually sit up and be able to walk. When I went for a follow up, all they offered was steroid injections. I was not interested in something so invasive as a first treatment so I told them to prescribe oral steroids to calm the inflammation in my L5-S1 area. After that, I went back to my PCP and I'm not interested in going back to Evergreen. I've been out of work for 4 weeks, which could have been avoided if my pain had been managed more conservatively with pain medication or muscle relaxers (??) as I was already going to physical therapy and was working on a strengthening program to stabilize my back. I wanted to heal and maintain my back, but they didn't seem to want to get involved until it was so severe they thought I didn't have a choice but to seek some kind of invasive/ potentially damaging treatment with them. It worries me to think about how many people deal with unnecessary pain due to this type of practice. I can't recommend this facility based on my experience.

I am in serious pain. So I called Medicare today and they said no Doctor (none) has submitted any request for approval of any surgery. I finally moved on in disgust after 5-6 phone calls and no action or explanation. It looks like I was just being shined on. I am looking for someone else Now to do my surgery. Dr Freeborn and Evergreen Health have really shown a lack of caring, I slipped throuhh the cracks.

I thought the pain would get better with time, but now it hurts so much. My pain increased and my mistake was that this doctor operated on my neck. Yesterday after dealing with this pain for so long and this severe pain was disrupting my life, I went to his office to tell him. After the operation, my condition worsened, his secretary treated us badly, and the doctor came after waiting for me and my husband for an hour and ten minutes and said that I don't need surgery anymore and I should see another doctor. Of course, if I need surgery from now on, I won't come to them and I won't repeat this mistake, but they should answer right now that after all this time, my condition became much worse and finally he left. Disrespectfully left the room without saying goodbye. While he was very respectful when trying to convince me to do the surgery, I think this doctor is after money rather than caring about your treatment. I used to go to work before the surgery, but for two years. I am at home and I could not go back to work and I have mental and emotional problems. Before the surgery, I used to reduce my pain with painkillers, but now even with painkillers, my pain does not decrease and I spend every day with arm and neck pain. My advice to you is to go to this doctor if you want to have the worst surgery of your life.

I am prone to back issues due to my smaller than usual joints. Dr. Freeborn has guided me through with assurance that my back problems will be resolved after his procedures and he is correct both times. I've suffered with back pain for a total of 8 years and it is no fun. The clinic is In Kirkland (an hour away fr home) and its always worth the drive to see him because of his excellent customer service and his amazing talent. During my second incident, I saw Dr. Freeborn because my back was causing paralysis on my left leg from my knee down, well it was numbness but to the point where I could touch and it did not feel like it was my body part. I was worried and scared and I would never get feeling on the leg again. Since I waited little longer than I anticipated to see him, there was a chance I might not be able to fully recover the feeling on the leg. But Dr. Freeborn did what he could and did his best to get that all back. I am currently still recovering from this, and will update this review after a year, to see but my experience there in his facilities, were always positive. Evergreen health clinic as a company has taken really good care of me in which I appreciate a ton. I would recommend seeing Dr. Freeborn if you are having issues with your spine! I hope no one gets injured but if you are, go to him for ease and comfort.

As a former board certified anesthesiologist, he entered the field of pain management to provide multiple relief modalities to patients, depending on their individual needs and physical condition. I sought his care to extend my hiking years--degenerative changes in my knees 5 and 17 years after 2 routine orthoscopic meniscus surgeries had left me unable to hike more than a mile without pain. After review of MRIs and discussion of possible differential Dr Nelson almost painlessly extracted bone marrow from my hips and injected the specially spun down stem cells into both of my knees. 30 days later his PA, Sarah injected platelet rich plasma into both knees. That procedure was absolutely painless--thanks Sarah, you are amazing. The results have been phenomenal.
